Games blamed for another murder

I usually blame these problems on bad parenting or the social service people didnt do their jobs properly. Many countries have access to violent games, Japan for example, and don't have these problems. It is still unhealthy to be playing any video game like 18 hours a day though. Even if it doesn't cause the person to be violent.

well thats what happens when people don't want to take responsibility for their actions

i just tend not to pay attention to news anymore, people basically write it for the sole purpose of taking a shit all over your day. they write what gets a reaction, because that is all that matters.

getting angry about it and giving them views just encourages them and gives them the impression that the shit they are writing is worth reading

Off topic but mopdern Japanese culture probably creeps me out more than anything. Their obsession with perverts in Anime and schoolgirls etc...hentai and tentacle porn. Shit is creepy :wacky:

...but we can't blame inanimate objects for what PEOPLE do. This reminds me of Fox news. They are always freaking out about liberals wanting to ban guns but then they turn around and blame video games for crime. Freaking hypocrites. :ahmed:

A bat/hammer, rope and knife are all tools that have various purposes. A gun is a weapon which sole purpose is to cause death. If guns weren't freely available there would be less of these rampages. Fact. Blaming them on games however, is straight up foolish. It seems like it's just the thing to do at the moment in terms of the mainstream media. Violent films were being blamed at one stage... probably. Everyone loves a scapegoat.

No, it's not. hammers were originally created to kill animals, knives are meant to do the exact same. It's a tool that is for defense.

So since you have this logic, then when a video game's sole plot-line purpose is killing others you must also think it should be outlawed.

Really? I find that hard to believe. Regardless of if that is right or not; Knives have other uses, hammers have other uses. Body Armour is for protection, guns are not.

Secondly, i'm not sure how you arrived at that conclusion. Games are entertainment; regardless of what the subject matter - if they are certified accordingly then I don't see any problems with games.
