Games that you could never beat

Oh God, add Ninja Gaiden (NES) to my list. I tried to play the game today and I got no where. Stuff flys at you from EVERYWHERE! And I don't have the patience for the game.

Any Silent Hill other than 3 and Shattered Memories...and I barely beat it...

They scare me too much *hides in the corner*

Theres one game that gave me a run for my money: Arc the Lad, twilight of the spirits....this game was a peice of crap so it did not matter in the end, but the final boss was just such a stupid fight it got rediculously hard and not in a challenging way but in an overwhelming aspect to many damn enemies and not enough resources.

I have actually beaten this one, but damn, it was a bitch >_> I got through it eventually, but it took me literally a week of trying to figure out how to keep from getting blasted the crap out of by that annoying eyeball :mokken: The worst part though, rather than even that battle, was the fact that for AN HOUR AND A HALF you do not get to save your game, there's at least one other boss battle and some cutscenes before the final boss, and you do not have any way to save in between battles. So, if you die while fighting the eyeball, you have to start ALL the way over again :rage: While I actually did really love the game's story and battle system over all, this was one part that I could have done without.

As far as games that I haven't beaten, however, I would agree with the people who have mentioned the Mario games in general, and also this one called Super Adventure Island for the SNES. It's fun and has cool graphics for its time, however you're on a skateboard most of the time and the boss on just level 1 is ridiculously hard =[ I don't think I've ever gotten farther than level 2 tbh. Oh, and another one is Zelda II: Adventure of Link for the NES >_> I would really like to beat it at some point since it's one of the first games I ever got, but the gameplay is so difficult and the battles so hard that I have only gotten to a few towns with it, and I can't remember if I've ever even cleared any dungeons. For some reason it's just really, really hard for me to navigate; I will probably end up having to use an FAQ guide online if I ever have any hope of defeating it.

I've also never beat Xenosaga Episode 2. Your signature made me think of.

I just can't get the whole break thing down to beat that Cathedral thing. It's way too hard. And it's shame because it's one of my favorite game series of all time.

Me too :x3: And that battle is really tricky, that's probably one of the hardest battles in the series. You have to make sure you're able to revive your KO'd characters really quickly to get through it :/ I think the only way I got through was by trying to level up as much as possible throughout the game in places like the Ormus Stronghold, where there are a lot of enemies and you can get them to regenerate :hmmm:

I thought of another game actually too--Adventures in the Magic Kingdom for the NES :gonk: I don't know if anyone here has ever played it, but it's essentially about going on I think six different rides at the Magic Kingdom and getting through them in various ways. The Haunted Mansion was the only one I could make any progress in, as well as Thunder Mountain, but all the other ones were crazy impossible :ness:

And sadly enough, EVO: Search for Eden, on SNES :sad3: It is an absolutely brilliant game, but your ability to level up and gain power is somewhat limited, and so I've never been able to beat the final boss, he's just too hard and does too much damage in a short time :(

The only games I couldn't beat were the ones on the old Sega Genesis because obv. there was no save feature to speak of. :-)rage:)
Those included some of my favorite games like Lion King, Cool Spot, and Animaniacs. :sad3:

I hated how I could only go so far, but honestly those are the only games where I felt that I couldn't completely finish it to the end.
