Genesis is the One Winged Angel???

ok this has been playin on my mind for a while now!!
Who is the one winged angel?? lol obviously sephy isnt an angel but in kingdom hearts cloud and sephiroth share a wing each on the opposite sides but in crisis core genesis and angeal share the wings!! i know crisis core is set b4 ff7 and ffAC sephiroth has been named the one winged angel but why if genesis is!! ^__^ hihi
so where does sephiroth's wing fit in?? because its really confusing me hehe ^__^

Sephiroth is the one winged angel, he was created to surpass every other SOLDIER in Shin-Ra, which would include Angeal and Genesis

Sephy holding them both off effortlessly in Crisis Core is a good display of this

while Genesis and Angeal both bore wings as well, they were seperate projects, what seperated them from Sephiroth was that sephiroth was born with Jenova cells

Angeal and Genesis had Gillian cells, if I recall, from Angeal's mother of the same name

incomplete, less pure versions than Angeal which led to the degrading

the only reason that Sephiroth didn't go the same way as Genesis was the Jenova cells protecting him. And with Sephiroth being the most powerful, the one who is scientifically Jenova's son he is considered the 1 winged angel.

Technically, Genesis and Sephiroth were equals. Maybe not in the CGI sequence featured in Crisis Core, but at the end of the game, the Ultimania Guides say that Genesis was Sephiroth's equal. (according to Oathkeeper in the Zack vs Cloud thread, anyway)

Personally, I'd really just say that Sephiroth is the one-winged angel simply because it's the name of his theme song.

Technically they're both One Winged Angels, as they both have one wing. However officially it would be Sephiroth, given that his boss theme is titled One Winged Angel.

Also, there's a couple issues with your post Inferno.

Sephiroth is the one winged angel, he was created to surpass every other SOLDIER in Shin-Ra,

Sephiroth was actually created to be a modern day Cetra, so he could lead the company to the promised land where they believed they would find boatloads of mako. Genesis and Angeal were created for the same purpose, that was the whole point of the Jenova project. It was only after Sephiroth was discovered to be so powerful that they made him a warrior and began making SOLDIERs with injections of Jenova cells and mako.

Genesis and Sephiroth however were rendered as incomplete, less pure versions than Angeal which led to the degrading the only reason that Sephiroth didn't go the same way as Genesis was the Jenova cells protecting him.

Sephiroth was actually the most complete product of the Jenova project, he is a perfect human/Jenova hybrid. Both Genesis and Angeal degrade because they received their J cells second hand and therefore the genetic make up of their cells doesn't hold together very strongly and allows them to be copied. Gillian was injected with Jenova cells, and then her cells were put into Genesis as a fetus, and Angeal was conceived in her and grew in her womb, but Sephiroth got the cells in their pure form, so while Angeal was the best result of Jenova Project G, he is still inferior to Sephiroth, the Jenova project's epitome.

Seph is the one winged angel with a wing on his right side - what I feel with Genesis is that he is the OTHER one winged angel with his wing on the left side.

As for Angeal - no clue

There was only one time in ff7 Sephy had a wing showing and that started the whole "one winged angel" song. I assume Fans called him the one winged angel cause of this or it way be from Kingdom hearts IDK. ANyways He shows it again in FF7AC but its a Black wing. Also through out FF7CC Sephy doesn't show his one wing. atlast in Kingdom Hearts he is present with one wing in the first and second installments as well as future installments probally.

So yeah

Genesis - 2 (crisis core, Dirge of Cerberus)

I think Sephiroth and genesis make good one winged angels but it is Sephiroths song so I give it to him.
