Getting ready to start FFVII

DO NOT TRAIN AERIS, if you make her you best character, then that would be a very dumb thing to do, won't say why, but don't train her at all

I second that remark.

I haven't bothered with her at all, and just left Midgar.

In Kalm now I think, I was at Mt Nibel on my last file but I lost the cursed Memory Card x_x;

Play how you want. I didn't train Aeris, but that's because I never liked her. She's not really needed since other people in your party can cast magic too so it's no biggy.

Careful of what you say to your party members too, when given choices. It affects a certain "mechanism" of gameplay, beleive it or not...

But anyways, just enjoy the ride. It's a good one. And don't spoil yourself (although I'm guessing you probably have) there's some twists that you probably wouldn't know of just by watching Advent Children.

I will now list off the biggest spoiler in FFVII history: Cloud is a playable character.

Anyhow, I will list off tip after tip that'll help you stay on your toes.

1) Use your Limit Breaks as often as possible and kill as many enemies as possible. You can ALWAYS use the training and gil.
2) Love your Cloud, respect your Cloud and level up your Cloud and he will reward you in ways you can never dream of.
3) Get EVERYONE's Limit Breaks. You WILL use every character non-optionally and in dire situations as well.
4) Make sure you know how and when to use your items, magic and Limit Breaks. Knowledge helps.
5) Long range means that even in the back row, you still do the same amount of damage as usual and you take HALF of the enemy's physical damage.
6) Chocobos are your friends. Take the time to get to know 'em and they won't stare at you like you're made of meat.
7) Search through the forests for Yuffie. She provides interesting rewards.
8) SAVE OFTEN! This should've been on top of the tip list. Also, HEAL OFTEN. Unexpected terrors will surprise you in every turn.
9) Get every item you come across. This applies to weapons and materia as well.
10) Don't piss your money on the Shinra vacation house on Costa De Sol. It's just another inn. You're better off in a regular inn.
11) Stay the hell away from the Weapons, except the non-optional ones and Ultima Weapon.
12) If you DO happen to beat the Weapons, (Emerald and Ruby) save on my memory card. Lol.
13) There's no shame in quitting FFVII, even if you miss out on the best gameplay known to man.

That's all I have to offer. If you wanna ask me anything, you know who to ask.

What do you know? I haven't watched it yet!
