Hi everyone,

Probably a simple and therefore slightly silly question coming up. I've recently restarted learning Japanese with some colleagues and obviously I'm really into Final Fantasy. I am wondering whether there'll be any way for me to get the Final Fantasy X remaster in Japanese. Would my UK PS3 play a Japanese copy of the game? Presumably not, right? Yes, I am that clueless about technology. Alternately, is there even a remote possibility that the European remaster will come with the option for Japanese audio or subtitling or both?

Thanks for your help! 手伝ってありがとう !

Jack

PS3's are universal. They can play games from any region in the world.

Continuing along the "stupid questions" theme, and since it's related:

So the FFX remaster has been confirmed as March 2014 for Europe and the US and 26th December 2013 for Japan. Would I be able to download the Japanese version from my PS3 in the UK? I've never seen a "switch countries/languages" option on the Playstation Store so I'm not sure how you'd do that, if it's even possible.

Thanks again,
Jack

Also possible. You can create a new user account with their own Japanese PS Store account. It's been a while since I did this (literally years) so that could change however I did have a US PS Store account at one stage.

Bear in mind that DLC is region-locked, though. So if any of those special features require a code to activate and you're using a disc from another region... you're gonna have a bad time.

There's DLC planned for FFX/2 HD?! :ffs:
