Is there a definitive place that offers the best Gil per battle? CP is nice, but I need gil alot more than CP. Anyone done the averages on the or anything, like battles with % of items dropped, difficulty, blah blah?

anyone?

In the Archylte Steppe, there are swarms of little creatures; I think they're Leyak and Rangda. Anyway, they're usually dancing around treasure spheres. They're really odd little things. o_O They provide lots of CP though. I was able to get a lot accomplished Crystarium-wise by fighting them over and over. Their item drops don't offer much gil, but you can get lots of them. The target time is usually around 11-15 minutes for those battles, so you'll always get a 5 star rating which boosts the drop rate.

That's what I've found so far. I'm sure there's something better, but I was anxious to move on, so I haven't been paying much attention otherwise.

I think.. for me.. the best way to farm gil was selling those Platinum Ingot's or Ignot's which is a drop from Adamantoise's, Adamantortoise's and Long Gui's.. it costs 150000 Gil.. equipping a Collector's Catalog will increase the drop rate of these things.. oh and I think not many people know this but..
if you equip Collector Catalog and Connoisseur Catalaog at the same time.. neither of the two will work.. so if you want those Oretoises to drop only Platinum Ingots, just equip Collector Catalog.. if you want them to drop Trapezohedron (a catalyst to transform a weapon to its last form), just equip Connoisseur Catalog...

EDIT:equipping two or more catalogs will not stack...

Theres a mark (mission 24) you can take down which gives you repeated Moonblossom seeds (sold for 6,000). Not alot but seeing as the mark is just a handful of steps from the Cieth stone you can spam attempts and rack up the gil. The mark is found in Taejins Tower. Use aero on the mark and water moves on the birds with him.

My Paradigms:

Lightning, Snow, Hope

Rav, Rav, Syn (until everyone has haste, use waterstrike/water on the birds)
Rav, Rav, Rav (spam water moves on birds then switch to aero on the mark)
Com, Com, Rav (finish the job)

Simple :monster:

Oh! And make sure you fix Bhakti when you get to Oerba. He'll give you about 600,000 gil worth of items to be sold. ^ ^
