Glitch?

Ok so I think I have a glitch.
While I was fighting some monster they used silence on Fran.
Whenever I go to a save crystal she's still silenced and I try to use remedys on her but they keep missing.
I'm pretty sure that when you go to a save crystal every status effect you have is cured.
Has anyone else ran into a problem like this?
If so any Ideas how to fix it?
 
have you checked her equipment? some status effects are inherint with equipment....although I've never seen an equipment with a negative status effect...
 
I've never heard of this before.

Have you tried... Vox and Esuna? How about killing her or taking her out of the party? Try getting her silenced again?

Thats all I got.
 
make sure that you don't have the manufactured nethicite or the dawn shard equiped. One of those or both dont allow the user to cast spells. One has the mp down to 0.
 
Some items I believe cause negative effects some type of accesorie I remember gave silence and doubles magic resistance so look at wat u have equiped to Fran!
 
Yup, manufactured nethicite halves elemental damage, but silences the character equipped with it, dawn shard adds 20 to magick resist, but reduces mp to 0.

It must be it.

Hey I have the same problem
I was =on that airship where you rescue Ashe and Vaan got silenced.
I continued playing but no spells (I tried all my white magic with all my characters) or items (I tried everything, even unrelated items) could cure him. Touching a save point also did nothing.


I had two files like the game suggests and I thought it may have been a once-off thing, but when I played it again Basch got silenced and I CAN'T REMOVE IT!!!


I don't know what to do!

It can't be the equipment because they both had different stuff equiped. I think the game is stuffed up. I just can't remove silence and you can't play the game without magic. If anybody figures anyhting out please, please PLEASE let me know.

Wow... do you have a save file before that... and are you sure? lol That really sucks. That really really really sucks. If not, either start over or... stop using those characters? I don't know what to say. If it's not the Dawn Shard, you're... boned. lol

i doubt the game is defective. Just restart if you really wanna be sure...
 
Well if it's happening on two separate files, and you're SURE your equipment is not to blame, then take it back to the branch you bought it and explain your situation.

Trusting you kept the receipt... >.>

Upon purchasing such an unreliable game--in terms of liking it or not--anyone with a head on their shoulders would actually keep the receipt. It's common sense. It's also perfectly possible that this guy kept his.
 
check equip coz it happened to me i had manufactured nethicite equipped by accident.

... he already stated that it wasn't his equipment. Sheesh, don't people read other posts?

Yeah my best guess is that it would ahve been an equipment issue, but since you said you removed everything or something of the sort and the problem still persists, I ahve no idea what would be going on. My best guess is to start from scratch and try again. :/
 
well if you have tried everything than this is a glitch and it cant be cured
you will have to start the game again or change characters

i had this problem too it was the stupid equipment >.< omg i can't believe i was going insane for MONTHS i feel like a moron >.< lol
