How do, or did, you get to school every morning?

I currently take the bus, I don't know how it is in other countries, except for in the Philippines, we had to take the 'tricycles' --- weird contraptions. ;)

Drive my truck. It's only across the bridge to college and takes about 5 minutes to get there. Been driving to classes for the last...6 years.

before year 12, i caught a bus... I then drove to school.

And yes, I remember those tricycles... uncomfortable bumpy things with 4 people on board... but it was fun... sort of

By tricycles, did you mean this?

I love riding those! I usually ride towards the back...you know, where you'd hang on and everyone in back of you could see your back? xD

Another sweet transportation. I sometimes wonder how the driver manage to keep track of those who has already paid for their ride. =/ I mean, you can fit 20 people in that thing...so how does he know when he's so busy driving?

Anyway, back on topic...I usually walk to school. I don't drive, so...

In the U.s.? In some cities, they have public transits that are free for college students. Which is great because not all cities are nice like that. =D

I will be driving myself to school next 'mester.

I have taken the school bus from kindergarten to 11th grade. I was the last stop, it was only a 5 minute drive to my school. I was driven by my friend in 12th grade. Only seniors were allowed to drive in. I drive to college now which is a 30 minute drive.

There's a back end to them?
Where I lived it was like a much much crappier version.

The drivers over there are like pro at maneuvering.
They can get through really tiny corners and whatnot, it's weird.
Anyways, not as flashy as that one, again, many, many, times uglier is what I've ridden on. =\

I drive my mazda.
it's only 7 minutes.

Because I lived outside the area the school was in (I went to a school just outside Glasgow) I was not allowed a bus pass for the school bus despite the bus stop only being 5 minutes away. Instead I had to get the train (which is right next to the bus stop) and then a 20 minute walk to school.

When I used to go to school I would usually get driven by my parents up until I went to highschool.

My highschool was an hour away from home, so my parents always drove me to the bus stop and wait until I boarded the private bus to school.

The school bus was shit and it will always be shit. <_<

I hitch a ride with a friend. I hate school buses. They are so noisy and have the most annoying kids. Also it's very frequent that stuff is always getting thrown about on buses.

It changed a lot for me over the years. When I went to Pre-Kindergarten, my parents drove me. Whenever my dad drove me, we'd play this "game" where the first one to see my school won. So when we turned that last corner, I'd be bouncing in my seat shouting "I see it I see it I see it I see it!!!"

For kindergarten through third grade, I was also driven by my parents, but I'd also bike when it was nice out, since the school I went to is only a mile from my house. I took the bus during elementary school. I rode my bike again in middle school and carpooled with friends in the winter. Apparently, my house was just barely close enough to the school where they didn't send a bus out around my area to get kids. I rode the bus again in high school, and then later got rides with my friends when they got their licenses.

When I started college, I was going to a place with a friend and we had the same schedules since we were in the same program, so I'd get a ride with him. He eventually dropped out, and that was around the time I finally got my own license. I've been driving myself to school ever since.

To get to uni I currently take a bus to the train station, then take a train to my university. The journey can take about an hour on the whole, give or take 5-10 minutes.

Until then I almost always walked to school. For my first school when I was little we had a huge convoy of people walking... Me and my mom, and loads of other kids and their moms all walked together. When I got to middle school I walked alone, or with one or two friends. As for my high school it was literally up the hill from my house so I had no problem during highschool or sixth form. I only used my mom or dad to drive me when I was running really late as I was within walking distance of all of my schools.

From K-6th grade I walked to school. Thankfully the school was only 5 minutes away via walking so it wasn't too bad, unless it was raining that day. Although I always had my brother pick me up from K-3rd grade. Beyond that walked on my own.

From 7th-8th grade, I rode the school bus. Although some days I just walked since still the school was not too far away, about 5 minutes via driving, so usually I did that on the nice days.

From 9th-12th grade, I rode the school bus for good. The school was way too far for me to be walking home from so I had no choice.

/revive. Well in my very early years it would be my parents driving me to school. Then in about 3rd-4th grade I would always take the bus home. High school I took the bus always and that was complete shit(people on the bus are shit xD) For College I take the bus though this one is very different. I start a new year of college tomorrow so Ill probably be taking the damn bus again. As much as I hate it I will have to. Or I could just drive a bit but I am a shit driver so only sometimes..

Up until Year 6, my primary school was conveniently close to where I live. Walking there would take only about 10 minutes, so most of the time I would simply walk there accompanied by my dad because he couldn't trust me walking there alone. Walking was good, healthwise. And if the weather was atrocious, he would just drive me there and drop me off while on his way to work.

My secondary school was further away though, and therefore I started relying more on being driven there until about Year 9 when I first decided to hop on a bus rather than use up my parents' time. Unfortunately it was one of those tiny little buses that could even be classed as a minibus rather than a normal bus. Finding a seat on it was difficult and journeys long because this bus liked darting up and down road after road in residential areas first before it reached the school.

And now in sixth form, I normally take the bus. It's a public bus this time and the route isn't too long (about 15 mins), so it's good. Occasionally I would drive there if I suddenly don't feel like using a bus. However, parking space is very scarce in my college and with a construction phase occurring at the moment that is sacrificing even more space for cars, I'm using the car less and less.

All the schools until college I've been to were just highly a mile away. So I walked, but when I went to high school I went on my bike.
When I had to go to the art academy I had to go by train and walk 10 minutes.
Now with my new eduaction I go by train as well but then have to take the bus, the first days I'll go by car though, because travelling by train and bus isn't free yet,.

In primary school I used to get a lift with my friends mum but I started catching the bus when I got older.
In high school I just walked as I only lived about 1km away.
To get to Uni I either catch the bus, catch the tram or just walk. The tram has been free for the past 6 months because it is new and they want to get people used to it. But they are going to start charging you for it soon so I'll probably stop catching it when this happens.

My chocobo, duh. :chocobo:

Haha, no actually. My mom drove me to school up until 10th grade. Then she made ride the bus, but since I'm a senior this year, I get to drive :D

When I went to school, I got a lift with my mum on her way to work. Now that I'm living in halls near my University, I walk. It's actually quite enjoyable, though I'm not so sure I'll still be saying that in January!
