Harry Potter Series, use spoiler tags please

I only like the movies, I never cared about the books. Yeah, the movies are fun to watch. ;P In fact, I know the ending already thanks to 4chan who posted scans of the books.

Apparently the book stores that are by me have people already lined up. Hell, even cosplayers are there. There is no need to cosplay because your favorite book is coming out. I really wanted to run out there and yell out the ending, but I didn't want to get chased by an angry crowd or get shot.

Why do you hate people for loving something? Its like loving Final Fantasy, its something people enjoy and love to read about.

I realy enjoyed all the Harry Potter books, i thought they were well written and weren't only for 'kids'. I'm quite annoyed that the last book came out last night, as i will have to buy it now....and i'll have to read all the previous books again before starting the next one, i've done that for every new one that came out.....dunno which one is my fave...probs 3 or 5, or 6, and i think that everyone kinda knows that
Harry and Voldemort will die in the last book, and perhaps Neville will play a significant figure in the end....

i enjoyed the ones i read. now im just going to be letting other people tell me what happens, or wait for the films to come out. im too lazy >.<

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Cactar has kindly done it, so thank you.

If people are reading the final book or already finished it, please mark all spoilers.

Thank you.

Cactuar, I disagree with your spoiler theory. I do not believe that is what will happen. No way is the main character going down, there would have been no point for Rowling to write the serries if Harry was just going to die in the end. It is a possiblilty however, I'm only on Chapter 11 of DH so we'll find out soon enough.

Aztec, don't ever delete one of my post's ever again, you got that you filthy Mud-blood?

Link21, dont you dare talk to a member of staff like that again.
Im giving you an infraction for that as attacking the mods is agaisnt the rules.

I bought it yesterday and started reading it at 9:00pm last night so naturally I'm not that far into it yet (Chapter 15), I think it's a good read so far what with the amount of fighting in the first few chapters and the notable deaths of
Hedwig and Mad-Eye Moody.

I've finished reading it, and I think it was ok.

I thought it was ruined by the whole story of the
Deathly Hallows. I didn't think that in the last book they should have added something that was so significant, and could easily have been involved in any of the previous books. It made me think why didn't LV go get the Elder Wand before, and stuff like that. I reckon if they had just stuck to Horcruxes it would have been a lot better.

And the ending sucked...

I don't mind people loving and reading Harry Potter. Sometimes it goes too far with the fan base. Then again, most fans can go too far with anything. It gets annoying after a while when the media shoves it in your face. -_- "So on the news Harry Potter is blah blah" Okay okay I know!

I was Shocked by the deaths of
Fred Weasley, Tonks, and Lupin. That totally sucked for me cuz i looooooove Fred.
all in all it was a good book though.

Ive already made a Harry Potter thread here in the book section. Its for al the Harry Poter books, so Im going to merge the 2 threads together. Please check next time ...

I got mine on the midnight launch on Saturday, but I had a mad weekend. so Im only on chapter 10!

Meh, no real problem ~SS~ ^_^ I just noticed there wasn't a Deathly Hallows Thread so I made it...

Anyways...now I've read the book...

I sort of wanted Harry to die, it would have made a much better ending
and I was surprised that
Mad-Eye, Hedwig, Fred, Lupin etc. died
but in the end I don't suppose it really mattered that much...

And what about the names of
Harry and Ginny's children? I can understand James and Lily but Albus Severus Potter?
:|

After reading all of them I can now say I prefer Goblet of Fire and Chamber of Secrets over any other.

Well, since Harry very CLEARLY stated that he thought
Albus and Severus were two of the bravest headmasters he had ever known
, you would think that the answer to that would be quite obvious.

I never asked a question that required an answer, it was rhetorical - I understand fully the reasoning behind the name it just sounds like a bit of a stupid one...poor kid :P

And for the record: Harry never said that
Albus and Severus were two of the bravest men he had ever known, he said, "One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew"

well i would say this one was my favorite. the last few chapters were poetic in a way. a few things happened as i expected, but were written much nicer than I could have done. the last in my oppinion was the best written of all the books.

Brilliant Book, but the deaths were pathetic.

I mean come on! The most dramatized death was that of
Dobby.

Even
Voldemort's
Death scene wasn't overly dramatic.

I think she put too many in, watering down the effect.

Ah, you mean like the "Cleriths" and "Clotis" ?

I know what you mean...I'd think
Lupin's death
would have been alot harder on Harry than
Dobby's
