Have you cried playing this Game?

My eyes watered when Yuna was whistling for Tidus, and maybe just a bit when Tidus jumped into the fog-stuff-water-Idunno. It definitely surprised me when he died instead. lol

Have you finished the game yet? The end is (in my opinion) far more emotionally evocative. With all those parting and weeping, and the music and sad expressions on everyone's faces, I just couldn't resist.
Of course I finished it. A few times in fact.
Yea. the ending is sad. But seeing Yuna sitting there by herself crying was so much worse :(

Yes... Yes I did cry...

It was a combination of the lulling music and the animation.
Just that moment when
Yuna rushes over to hold Tidus and falls right through him... and then she just lies there crying...
At that moment, it has me crying like a baby!!!

It's such a haunting moment and then you think of the entire storyline and what they went through together. So sad...

I don't even like to think of FFX-2 as a continuation because it just isn't in the same league. It is better for the Yuna and Tidus story to end this way as it is for more memorable. For good reasons and bad...

Totally agree. They ruined a perfectly good ending by trying to extend it with X-2.

They should have left it where it ended in X. FFX has such a perfect ending.

Honestly? No. I never really connected with Final Fantasy X's story as much as other people here have and the moments that are supposed to be exceptionally emotional tend to just fly past me without leaving much of an impact on me. I can think of quite a few number of times when emotional moments just feel overtly melodramatic that it does more to irritate me than to make me tearful. The ending gave me mild goosebumps and that's probably it. The sight of Tidus going straight through Yuna did just that (surprisingly, considering I was never too fond of Tidus and nor have I really cared that much about the pairing) as well as the realisation that Auron had to bugger off as well.

Nah, Final Fantasy X did not have such a powerful effect on me. It was emotional at times, and exaggerated as well. I never even had a tear in my eyes. A powerful scene was the "love" scene in Macalania lake, but that was just because of the music. I did not cry when they started kissing and all that. They wanted to have a "moment" together which was sweet for a bit. I really can not look back on Yuna when I look at Yuna in X-2. I used to really like Yuna a lot, but after playing X-2 she was not so emotional. There were times where I felt bad for Yuna, but no crying at all. When Tidus finds out Yuna will die for instance. He later tells her to stay with him etc. That was weird. I liked the scene under the lake though. Again, when I look back at Yuna.. it is hard to believe she was such a shite character in the 2nd game. I always really liked FFX Yuna since the first time I played. The scene with Seymour and Yuna's wedding was really irritating. I just felt nothing for that scene. I really liked what Yuna did afterwards though. That made up for it.

Okay, I finished this the other day. I knew what was going to happen at the end - I'd seen it a few hundred times whilst making music videos - but seeing MY characters reach that point in the story, seeing them go through the turmoil... did bring me close to tears. I didn't expect to find it genuinely sad. :lew:
