The wind rises, his last film.
Hayao Miyazaki, the godfather of japanese animation gives to the Venice Film Festival his last creation, his last dream.
Koji Hoshino, the director of Studio Ghibli announces the sad retirement of the sensei Miyazaki who leaves so many dreamers like orphans.
Miyazaki couldn't partecipate to the Festival so he will have a press conference in the coming weeks in Tokyo when he will explain his reasons.

Hayao Miyazaki has already won the Golden Lion with his film Spirited Away. I'd like to watch the trailer with you.

I will never forget Miyazaki and the dreams he gave to me.

It only makes sense, he's getting old. I can imagine it's hard work. Nonetheless, his films are always flawless so his fanbase will only grow with time. ^_^

It definitely seems like he should retire right about now....but I'll always love the films he made. Spirited Away was one of my favorite movies ever! :)

You'll be missed, Miyazaki. :ari:

Very keen to see his last work. I love all of Miyazaki's films, they captivated me as a child and still do as an adult.
