Oh well..it is not a case if FFVI is one of the greatest RPG of all time.
Final Fantasy VI has the largest playable cast in the entire series and each character is well characterized and never ignored along the story flow. They all have well written backgrounds and motivations that fit within the world the game takes place.
Then I think FF6 is great due to it's story and one of the best villains to date. Plus there are memorable set pieces and locations.
