Heroes: Genesis (RP)

Eric was slightly dumbfounded and surprised at the girl's insistence not to kill her.
He was even more surprised when she mentioned the company.
And even more again when she asked if he had powers.
By the time she demonstrated her own, he was no longer shocked, simply curious.
"We aren't going to kill you," he said kindly, offering her a chair then getting up and closing the door, "and yes, we do have powers, but probably not like you."
Holding up his hand, he smiled slightly as it began to coalesce and fade away into smoke, before it conjoined together again and his hand was back.
"I can also hear, extremely well," he continued, "and manipulate sound waves. But my typhokinesis, smoke manipulation, is my favourite."
Sitting in his own chair, he smiled again and held out his hand.
"My name is Eric," he said, "and I am not from the company, although I still don't quite understand who they are... You seem like they've been hounding you for a while, but I promise that from now on, I'll protect you from them!"

Faith heard the name Kevin. Where did that sound familiar? Boswell was now looking at Eric with great curiosity. So the Company isn't just specifically after Faith, he thought. Whatever they are planning, they must stopped or else all hope in this world will be lost. And then there came the nickname, Fay. "I kinda like that," said Faith, cracking a smile along the way. Then she and Boswell listened closely about the piece of paper with the Company written on it. "They're very important," replied Boswell, but stopped when they wereinterrupted. That was when Faith first lay eyes on Aisha. She seemed so tortured and scared. She had mentioned the Company. Now her blood was boiling and she could feel it in her guts.

Boswell put a hand on Faith's shoulder as if he could understand what she was going through. Although she'd only known him for about an hour, it felt like he was her only source of comfort that she could trust and confide in. A few tears streamed down her face, but she wiped them away quickly. There were certain memories that she'd rather forget. But at least for now, Faith felt that she was in the safest place possible that she had been in nine months. "Please come in," said Boswell to Aisha. "It's all right, you're safe now. I'm the hotel manager and we can take care of you. I can offer you protection from that dreadful Company that we all hate." Faith looked towards him. Was he letting on more than he was supposed to?

Eric, had started to get annoyed at the mere mention of the Company, and he wanted some answers.
"OK," he said, on the tail of Boswell's sentence, "who the hell is this damn Company? Why are they so special?! I want to know, because this Kevin guy tried to kill me, and I don't want to have to kill another human unless I have to!"
Leaning back, he crossed his arms and stared in turn at the three others, then added something.
"And Boswell, how the hell do you know about powers?" Slowly relaxing his molecules so he began to slightly smoke, although he did it naturally when not concentrating on not smoking (although he found the habit odd), he glared at Boswell.
"How do Aisha, Fay and I know we can really trust you?"

OoC: Here I go

IC:The sound of footsteps reverberated across the narrow streets of the red light district of New York City. The footsteps of Damien Fox to be precise. He brushed a strand of gleaming white hair out of his eyes and looked around. Porn theaters and drug addicts we're littered across the streets. Prostitutes were leering into cars left and right, flashing more cleavage than common sense, but of course they did not care. They were garbage, vermin..

"Filth." he thought "Utter complete filth."

Carrying on, he was approached by a groupd of three thugs dressed in obvious gang colour. The first one drew a knife out of the pocket of his baggy jeans and held it directly infront of Damiens throat.

"Hey. Give me all yo money and that jacket!" he demmanded. The other two sneered and drew knives of their own.

"Trust me." Damien replied cooly "You don't want to do that."

All three of them laughed and the leader grabbed ahold of him and pushed him against a wall.

"I ain't playin with you asshole. Gimme all yo money and I'll pretend you didn't say that."

Damien chckled under his breath.

"Okay. But lets go into that alleyway." He nodded his head to the opening opposite. "So I can be saved the embarassment in case anyone see's me." he added cooly

"Man you're a nutjob, but yeah whatever."

He dragged him into the alley and held him against the wall.

"Now gimme all yo money now!"

Damien laughed and looked up at the thug. His eyes were gleaming blue, sparkling like the ocean.

"I told you you didn't want to do that." he said softly.

The ground began to shake under them, and the thugs panicked. The other two ran away screaming whilst the leader was frozen in shock.

"Now you'll see what happens when you mess with Damien Fox." he said, lacking any emotion or pity on the thug.

The ground split open and a massive surge of water erupted, enveloping the thug and pinning him against the wall. The water flowed into his mouth, his eyes and his ears. He began to twitch as the water filled up his lungs and swell up when the water completely filled his system. He was then lifted up in the air in a sphere of water as Damien watched on, focused on the grimaced face of the thug. The twitches stopped. The life had long left him.

Dropping the thug down, the water splashed around and formed at the feet of Damien. It rose up, as he did with it, until he was towering over the alleyway, just near the rooftop. Stepping down onto the nearby ledge, he peered over the city. The people unaware at what had just happened, the cars flowing past, the buildings that dominated the skyline and he smiled. This would all be his someday. And that someday was going to be sooner than everyone expected.

OoC:What you reckon? Any good? aha

OOC: Sorry for not posting any sooner. My life is such a bitch right now being busy and all. :P

IC: "The Company is after you all," explained Boswell, eyeing Faith closer more than the others. He was the most concerned for her after all because she had been on the run for nine months. "I have no idea what they are planning, but it must be something big. I've heard rumours about them, or perhaps they're actual true stories ... they've been known for imprisoning people with anomalistic abilities and they're never seen again." He didn't want to shout at Eric for raising his voice. He could understand where Eric was coming from. Heck, he had been through a lot since this whole crisis started. Then Faith eyed him suspiciously. She had heard Eric's question. Could he be really trusted? She closed her eyes for a moment concentrating hard.

"You can trust me because you forget that you have a telepath here," replied Boswell, smiling pleasantly and glancing at his goddaughter. "If you haven't noticed, then you need to be looking at Faith right now. She's reading my mind, which is very strange with the experience it's giving to me right now." She stopped reading his mind for a moment and then opened her eyes breathing a little bit too heavily. "He's clean," confirmed Faith, rubbing her eyes with her hands. "I haven't used this ability for very long, mind you, but it never fails. Boswell's right about the Company, though. They've been trying to trace me down for the past nine months and quite frankly, I like the idea of Boswell forming a rebellion." She smiled in his direction. She knew too much.

"Forming a rebellion" Eric rolled the word around in his mouth for a minute or two then smiled, "I too like the sound of that. But you still didn't answer one of my questions. How did you know I was... I had powers?"
He looked at Aisha and smiled.
"What about you," he asked kindly, "what do you want to do?"
