We all dream of becoming heroes. We all dream of having powers that develop and make us the people that we are destined to become. Many will find their powers useful, possibly using them for the greater good. Others can become corrupted by the power in front of them. A small group of individuals are about to discover that they are unlike the majority of people in the world, the fact that they are superhuman individuals that wield superpowers. Whatever they decide to do with their power is up to them alone. However, it is them alone that decide the fate of the world ...

Lois Evans & Casey Williams
London, England

"Do you really have to go in for your lectures today?" came the moaning voice of one particular Casey Williams, as he sat down at the worktop and glanced at his glass of water.

"Yes, I do!" exclaimed Lois, as she was too busy looking for something. "You haven't seen my car keys, have you?"

"Lois, the university is a ten minute walk away," he grinned. "Walking isn't going to kill you."

"I know, I know!" she said louder now, looking like she was panicking. "But I'm meant to pick up my mum after my last lecture at eleven o'clock. We're going on some kind of mother-daughter bonding session." Casey raised an eyebrow. "The counsellor said that we should at least spend some quality time together. You know, it's been hard for her since he died."

Casey rolled his eyes and tapped his fingers against the worktop uncomfortably. Ever since Lois' dad, Kyle Evans, had died, Lois hadn't been mourning for him. She had never been close to him whatsoever. It upset Casey a little because he respected the guy. But Lois' mother, Amber, hadn't been acting the same ever since.

"I have to go," Lois whispered, kissing her boyfriend on the cheek. "Will you lock up for me?"

"Do I have a choice?" retorted Casey, laughing when he watched her leave.

JAMES BLACK - The bloody end!
----------------------------------------------------------------

It was dark as emptiness itself, the shadows were creeping quietly and the huge rats were running from here to there. But something was unusual, a voice, one unknown weak voice was making noise,somewhere in the shadows. Then, a young hooded boy popped out and started running amazingly fast. Tho, he was panting strongly and seemed to be quite tired. Then, he stopped. Slowly he pushed the hood away and revealed his face. It was covered with blood mixed with sweat. A quite huge scar was on his face and his eyes were reflecting the pain he felt. Then, quickly he turned around.

'' Finally ... I thought that you will get away.'' A voice told. It was old but powerful and loud. A man, with a huge sword was standing few meters away from the boy. The man then raised his sword.

'' I'm sorry, but order is order James!'' The man told and next moment James was laying down dead, cut to two parts. Quickly, the body run out of blood. Unknown man was still watching the body and then turned around, vanishing with no traces left.

'' That was close Henry ...'' Someone whispered. Instantly, a man and a boy had appeared in a quiet corner. The dead body of young boy was gone.

'' Yeah James ... thanks to you. Your illusions are fantastic.'' The older man told. Young boy smiled gently and turned around.

'' We have to keep watch tho ...'' And then, they dissappeared.

+ Takahashi Amaya +
~ London, England ~

How long had she been walking? How long had it been since that day, since that act which had caused Amaya to become frightened of what she was? She couldn't be sure, but it wasn't that long, surely? After all, it was in reality, just three days. But where would she be going now, on the move for the these three days? Doing nothing but stopping to eat, drink and grab a couple of hours sleep.

Amaya was terrified. Of herself, this strange ability she had unveiled and the world. What if they discovered her power and ... well, Amaya didn't really want to think about that. So long as she kept this information to herself, surely she'd be safe?

But then, that girl knew... Would she tell anyone? Thinking about it, Takahashi almost laughed. Who would believe her anyway? Surely they'd think the girl insane if she went running to them, exclaiming Amaya had almost frozen her arm. No, they wouldn't believe her. She was safe from that... she hoped.

Narrowly avoiding colliding with a passer-by, Frost quickened her pace. Ironic, was it not, that her aloof nature had earnt her that alias and now she was displaying signs of Cryokinesis, the ability of cold. She would have laughed at the thought had it been anyone but herself. It wasn't funny. Something was seriously wrong with her.

Were there others out there like her? Takahashi hoped there were. But just how would she find them?

James Black - Dangerous job!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was still night and quiet. The trees were moving slowly and gently, only sometimes when a branch was broken under the legs of two men, the peace was ruined. They, James and Henry, were walking quietly trough a park. It was quite huge and beautiful as the parks in London tend to be.

'' You think ... do you think they have followed us?'' The older one told with his strong man voice. Boy gave a quick glance to back and then took out a little mobile from his pocket.

'' I don't think so. But we never know.'' James told. He pushed his hair away from his sight and then started heading towards a bench.

'' We could use some rest ...'' James told and then sat down. He started searching something from his mobile, making the peeping sound all the time.

'' Is the target near?'' Henry asked. James smiled for a bit.

'' Should be. Tho, it depends on the situation of the girl. If she is unstable we might have .... you know what I mean.'' Boy quickly answered and took out a sandwich.

'' Want some?'' He asked from Henry who seemed to be hungry.

'' Yeah why not.'' Henry muttered and started eating. For a minute or two, they were sitting there and eating their sandwiches but suddenly, their peace was gone.

'' Ehh ...'' James told while he saw his mobile peeping, really loud. In a mere eye blink he pulled it out and started reading the message.

'' Shit ... their are after us!'' James told in a rush and started moving towards the other side of the park.

'' But the girl?'' Henry was able to ask. James nodded.

'' She is heading this way ...'' He muttered and then continued walking towards a woman wandering alone.

OOC: Solstice, if you wanted to meet me and my friend, you can step in now. If you don't want, I can tend the woman is someone else :)

Helamune Temahari - Stickleback Cafe
~~~~~
Helamune sat lounging on the worn leather seat, sprawled rather unladylike in one of the booths. The aroma from the steaming cup of coffee wafted lazily in the air with the steam, but she was distracted. It was rather late at night and the neighborhood she was in wasn't exactly the safest in town. Meh, i should be fine.... she muttered to herself as she took another sip from the cup. It hadn't been long since Helamune moved from the comfort of the country estate and from her parents. Breaking through all objections and the freezing of all her assets, she still managed to get enough cash for her to rent a small loft and survive. The clock on the wall chimed loudly as the hands stuck 11. Sidling from the booth, she gave a nice stretch, drained her cup and stepped out into the cold British air. The night was nice and crisp, perfect for a walk. Her walks were rather different from the conventional type, filled with short cuts across buildings and large jumps. Craving for the feel of air whipping by her face, Helamune made her way into the dark. First checkpoint, the canal just outside of the park.
Leon Temaru
Los Angeles, America
The sunset was unsettling as the tall, ominous looking man sat down on a plain park bench. The City lights had begun to flicker on and off, as if deciding whether it was dark enough that they were needed. The City Of Angels glowed as the huge billboards shone their colourful lights, but that meant nothing to the man who sat alone in a dark park on the edge of the city. His eyes were closed but this did not matter, for he saw the world in a different way. Everything around him was shown within his own mind, not a single thing blocked his view, the landscape was a blue haze and the trees around him seemed transparent to his ability of all-sight. He remained motionless, as if waiting for the opportune moment, like an owl as she waited for the mouse to show it self and then fly to it for the kill.
He sat like this for many hours, not a single person going by him, something which was rare within Los Angeles, he continued to sit like this until a quiet rustle sounded behind him. He had been expecting the person, he had seen him as he entered the park over ten minutes ago, a bright white light within a translucent, blue, humanoid shape. “Are you… Patrick Sullivan?” The man asked, Leon opened his eyes and nodded softly at the man, he had the appearance on an old wrinkled man, wisdom in his eyes and a distinct lack of hair on his head. The man sat down and took out a thick file, he passed it to Leon who opened it and read the first entry. He smirked as the man next to him shifted uncomfortably. “C-Can I have my money and go now please?” He had a sort of whimper in his voice, as if the dark clouds which had begun to shoot lightning across the horizon were a warning to him, a warning that this may be his last night alive.
Leon took out a package and handed it to the man, the man took it, not bothering to open it to see how much was in it. He quickly stood up and nodded at Leon, Leon waved him away and the man began to walk off hastily. As the man reached the end of the path Leon thrust his hand forward, a jet of blue light shot from it in a sort of arc and struck the man in the middle of his back, sending him forward and killing him instantly. Leon stood up and began to walk the other way, the thick folder of evolutionised humans with abilities under his arm. He smirked and began to head to the road, hailing a taxi quite easily. He sat down inside the taxi and smirked at the driver. “The airport.” He took one more look inside the folder and smirked at the surveillance photo of a suspected “superhuman”. It seemed London was abundant with these “special humans”.
After one boring lecture about how the paparazzi were violent and dangerous in America, Lois could hardly contain her excitement for freedom when she got out of the room. Her friends just shook their heads and laughed at her. Heck, she was always the class clown, Queen Bee even. As she parted ways with her friends, her mobile phone started ringing. Confused since Casey had been told by her strictly that she'd call him, Lois picked it up.
"Hello?" she said after seeing that the number was unknown.
"Lois Evans?" came a polite male voice.
"That's me," Lois replied, coming to a standstill at the traffic lights. She glanced around to see if there were any cars coming, but there weren't. So she made the risk to quickly run ahead to avoid the traffic coming from down the road. "May I ask who this is?"
"Miss Evans, this is DCI Meadows. Your mother is Amber Evans, no? We tracked you down through your personal records. Your mother has been arrested over a minor accusation. We'd appreciate it if you could come down to the police station, ma'am."
Ma'am? What kind of name was that? Lois sighed, realising that she'd have to miss the rest of her lectures for the days, which was a big shame.
"I'll be down there as soon as possible." Her tone was defensive, but reluctant. She flipped her phone closed and pocketed it in her thin denim jacket once more, sighing because the odd behaviour Amber had been displaying had just taken a turn.
London, Park
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Through the streets of London's Park, could be heard the walking of a horse. The horse was pulling an unusual carriage. The carriage was black, the weels were white and the hood red. It was really unusual and yet unexpectably attractive.

The horse then stopped infront of women and a voice came from the inside the of the carriage a voice came out. "Would you like to enter and see your future?"

The voice was from a man and it was a sound so misterious as the carriage. Instead of entering, the women began walking faster with the thought of a killer inside the carriage.

Then, the horse began walking as slow as before, not minding of the fear that took over the woman.

Helamune Temahari - Parkland beside the canal
~~~~~
Curving in front of her was the same canal she always took. Not "took" as in go down into, but jump over. It was clearly beyond normal human jump length, but Helamune always found it a pleasure to jump and feel the air, even if it meant a definite plunge downwards. However, lately, after her fight with the thug, it seemed as though she would jump further and further whenever she wished for it. Stretching her legs, she made her way back to the T in the path that snaked around the park. After several hops on the spot, Helamune ran at a fairly decent pace towards the railing before at the last second jumped on and springboard off it. Her muscles coiled and springed forward, sending the lightweight girl soaring over the waterway before landing deftly on the opposite side railing. Me 210, canal 5. Helamune smiled with a hearty grin. She had not failed in crossing that canal after the sixth try and she was happy. The first five failure resulted in an embaressing and wet girl in waist high water. Humming happily like a bird, she continued her way around the twist and curves of the park, before two things caught her eyes. Two figures heaqding towards a lone female and a mysterious and suspicious white carriage just outside the park stalking after another female.
Hm....Suspicious. I smell crime.
Helamune said whilst holding her chin in fake thought. She did not know which to go for, but the female in the park seemed more in danger. Instead of a full frontal confrontation, Helamune scampered up one of the old trees scattered around the park and sat still. She was happy with her choice of nest. It was tall and full of pine needles, covering her perfectly. Let's see what these suspicious men are up to....
She couldn't carry on like this, running from herself. Amaya had surely been granted a gift? Something beyond the seemingly normal capabilities of the average human. But what exactly did this make her? Above average? Super human? A monster?
Takahashi shuddered at that thought, bringing a fingerless leather gloved hand to her face. What triggered it, this strange ability? Just what allowed her to harness the power of the cold. That chilling anger crept into her heart again, a biting rage that she felt surge down her arm and into the slender fingers now being stared at by deep green brown eyes. Adrenaline rushed through those digits as before her very eyes, a thin, sheenlike coating of what she could only assume to be ice masked them. Her lips pursed slightly, hand quickly snapping down as two forms came into view.
Dark eyes narrowed suspiciously as she willed the power to leave her hand. She didn't need someone discovering she had this ice-like power. Not yet, it was too raw, too unbridled.
In an attempt to look nonchalent, Amaya leant against a park railing. Yet her emotions crept over her again, palms slick with a cold film as she gripped the wrought iron, completely unaware that the metal was slowly freezing within her grasp.
The mysterious woman, who turned out to be a girl around her age, went towards the railing where Helamune herself had just landed on. Still with the advantage of being hidden with a nice perch, the wanna-be dectective saw something that she could not have picked up before. A slight sheen seemed to have appeared on the hands of the girl, but Helamune dismissed it as sweat, or maybe the moon. What she saw was that the railing in which she was gripping was beginning to ice up. What the hell? A mysterious being with power? Suspicious. so says the one in the tree. As she shifted position in her tree, her balance wavered and her body tilted to one side. For some odd reason, her foot extended out into the air, but unlike reality, she did not fall through, but rather it froze their. It didn't matter. For some reason, at the same time her foot "stepped" on air, the trees nearby rustled with a sudden brisk breeze. Crap. Helamune gripped the tree trunk Did i alert her?
---------------------------------------------------------------
James Black - You are not only one out here!
---------------------------------------------------------------
James and Henry were rushing towards the girl quickly while ignoring the intruders around. She seemed to notice them almost instantly and leant against a railing. Slowly it was freezing. James managed to summon a gentle smile to his face while looking the girl and then he put away his mobile.
But suddenly the reality was altered by something magical. It seemed as James walked towards the woman and gave a french kiss to her. Then all three turned around and started walking towards the street on the end of the park.
But the reality what was seen by James was something different, a lot different. After all, he was able to manipulate human senses with his abilities. The truth was that James had walked straight towards the woman but did stop just few meters away. He then smiled and took out his mobile, for a second.
'' You are miss Takahashi right?'' He asked with soft but clear voice. Henry gave a quick glance to back meanwhile. Almost instantly he spotted a beautiful carriage being led by a horse. Some why it felt familiar ... Henry turned his face towards James and summoned a asking emotion. James nodded as he had also spotted the horse. Henry turned around and started walking towards the carriage.
'' I am mister James Black. Don't be afraid of me, I wish no harm!'' James told quickly while his voice was filled with elegance. Probably to insurance a safe feeling to the woman.
'' I know about you ...'' He told then and quickly continued as he saw that the young one wasn't understanding him perfectly.
'' About your amazing ability .... '' He sighed loudly.
'' But unfortunately, others know about it as well so we have to move out. It's not safe here.'' The moment he told the word safe, the illusion disappeared. James and Takahashi reappeared and the copies of them disappeared. Henry was also spotted near the carriage. Someone had interrupted James mind and had rushed to the park. Almost instantly James turned around and took out a gun. He was able to point it at first to the woman hiding on a tree, but when he got that this wasn't the intruder, he was already too late. A powerful bolt of electricity had charged towards his body, melting his skin as it was able to touch the surface of James body. Next eye blink he was lying down, blood flowing out from the burnt wound. Then the three were gone, once again. Another illusion called out by James. Quickly James shouted to the girl to escape and then he rushed towards Henry.
'' It's HIM!'' He shouted loud. Then another bolt aimed at James was shot out but this one missed.
'' I know you are hiding James!'' A loud voice told. Then, he turned around. A sword was pointed at the neck of James, ready to swing every moment. Ready to steal the worthless life of human. The illusion disappeared again.
'' James, what is going on?'' Henry asked when he had reappeared for everyone. He was also captured. A red haired woman was holding him, but instead of a sword or gun, she pointed her finger at Henries neck.
'' Another illusion creater can dismiss illusions already on use.'' James muttered and turned his head towards a man sitting on a wheelchair. The old man nodded to James and then came closer.
'' You are good you know ...'' The man told with similar voice that had been used before, but this time, it was not so loud and was a lot weaker.
'' But no-one, I tell you no-one is better then me.'' He shouted. James started laughing loudly and then, the sword that had waited for a kill did it. James head fell down, blood spill out to everywhere. But the reaction was quite shocking. The old man quickly moved towards the dead body and touched the blood. Then he tasted it. Instantly, his face turned red and his eyes widened up.
'' It was an illusion!'' He shouted and turned around to search for any signs of life. Only a voice of moving carriage somewhere quite far away.
------------------------------------------------------
Reality
------------------------------------------------------
James got hit quite bad. Instantly he moved towards the girl and started dragging her. He felt chilling air spilling out from the woman but he ignored it.
'' Don't you worry a bit ...'' James muttered while he was moving towards the carriage. After few second, he opened the carraige door and pushed the woman inside. He followed him.
'' Move please!'' James told with commanding tone and then raised his head. The image was quite shocking, something quite abnormal.
'' Prophet ... '' James whispered to himself as staring the man.
OOC: So, this solution fits for everyone?
When Lois eventually got to the police station, she couldn't help herself when she shook her head as soon as she saw her mother in the holding room. As the police left her alone to speak with Amber, Lois felt herself throwing herself into a big rant of how irresponsible she was and how she didn't want to be babying her all the time when she had own life to attend to. But all the while, Amber watched her daughter very closely - even going so far as to analyse her expressions that frequently changed.
"What can I say, Lois? 'I'm depressed?'" snapped Amber. "I say it all the time and I haven't been the same since your father died. He was a well-loved man and don't you dare give him a bad name. Just because you were never close doesn't mean you shouldn't grieve for him."
"He never cared!" yelled Lois. "And how on earth did we get on the topic of Dad, anyway?" She seemed too frustrated and didn't want to appear weak in front of anyone - let alone her own mother - so she sat down to ease her growing temper.
Amber watched her daughter once more with great curiosity. "You don't know it, Lois, but you're much more special than you think. Have you been feeling a little off lately?"
But now Lois was the one to snap at her own mother. "Don't try the 'special one' conversation again. I'm nothing special, I'm just a damn daughter only concerned for her mother." She left the room, leaving Amber only to smile and shake her head, saying how wrong Lois really was ...
OOC: Thanks for clarifying your points, but could you please keep it in the Discussion Thread next time? I don't wanna see you having a spam-fest yet lol. :wacky:
OOC: yea ill discuss it in the discussion.
Helamune's eyes widened in shock as the black shape if a gun appeared in the man's hand. On pure instinct, she launched herself as hard as she can against the tree trunk and tried to jump out of the tree before he fired. Her jump, infused with her Aerokinesis ability, shot her way out and over towards the white carriage, landing her solidly on the the rooftop of a house across the street. Before she could do anything, the same man came barreling through, injured, but dragging the girl along and into the carriage. Helamune would have tried to interfere, but a gun was seriously too much. Instead of a full on confrontation, Helamune leapt of the rooftop of the house and to her amazement, her legs did not shatter from the two story drop and she did not become pavement pizza when she landed. In two lunging steps, Helamune locked herself to the back of the carriage, hanging low near the road. No kidnapping on my watch, scums. Her eyes narrowed and she snuggled in closer, oblivious to the fact that the man is special like her and able to feel presences.
London, Park: The guests.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

There was a lot of comotion outside his carriage. He could feel so many and yet much fear among them. Please do enter. Mark thought and unlocked the carriage door. Seconds later a man opened it, dragging a girl inside. The man's amazed face, made Mark pull him in.

Knowing someone was bound to get to the carriage back, Mark didn't moved an inch before that. A moment later, someone was on te carriage roof. "It's time to go. Hold on." Mark said, as his horse became frenzy-like and began running at high speed.

While moving, Mark looked to both their guests, looked outside, opened the window and spoke loud enough so the other passenger could hear it. "Come inside. I don't see why you can not enter."

Mark then looked to the girl and pat her hand. Her abillities are showing progress. She must hurry up with them. He then took four cups of tea, boiled the water and served the two guests and put the other one apart.

OOC: Teck, i did not jump on the roof of the car, i leapt across the street and onto the roof of a house before dropping down onto the ground and slinging to the rear.

From the back, Helamune scowled at the offered entrance, but took in nonetheless. If they knew she was there, then so be it. Swinging over the rim of the window, Helamune put on her best scowl so that she would not be intimidated. Inside was of course the kidnapper, the girl and a odd black man. She could only come to the conclusion that they were criminals. How else would thye explain the gun and a perfectly waiting carriage? You scumbags! How dare you go and kidnap a poor girl like that. Do you honestly believe we would sit quietly like nice little children whilst you take us? As always, her obstinance and fiesty personality had caused her to shoot off her mouth when it wasn't entirely the right situation. It was general rule not to anger the kidnapper, but Helamune didn't care. She figured that she maybe able to stand a chance in this little space. Maybe.

James Black - You again?
---------------------------------------------------

James looked at Mark for quite a while. He let his eyes to go over the woman she had brought as well and noticed the freezing aura around her. He used his abilities to make the girl feel better by dismissing the freezing aura, at least it seemed to everyone senses like that. In reality, nothing changed. After that, it got really homely and the tea offered by Mark made it even more homely. Then James told:

'' So ... how are you doing?'' ( I thought that we might knew each-other as I have worked with and searched people with powers for long time. Ok?)
But there wasn't time to hear the answer as the girl who had been asked to come in seemed to be aggressive.

'' Eh ... it's not like you think!'' James was able to shout, but it didn't help a bit.

London, Park: The Memory.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mark's eyes widened with the angry girl shouted towards them. Mark served a tea to her and simply said. "Do not worry."
Seconds later he looked over to the other girl and then to James. "Well, hello there. Having fun? Need any services? It will cost you. What a fascinating person you brought me. Ice is particulary nice this time of the year..."
The carriage then stopped near an abandoned house. The house was literaly burned down but, it still had a roof and closed walls. "Let's rest here for now. My horse needs some food to. Let's go around the back." The carriage began moving again, now towards the house. It was like the horse could receive Mark's orders by mind.
The horse stopped inside the old house. There was grass everywhere and so the horse started eating.
Mark opened the door of the carriage and took the girl out. He then desintegrate the old door of the house without touching it. With a swift move, he placed her in a confy bed. He quickly tried to begin a fire in the fireplace and stayed there to warm his body. "We'll depart as soon as she wakes up and the horse is full."
(I assume it's night time)
With all the stress getting her mother released from the police station and apologising to them for the trouble, Lois found herself dreaming when one of Amber's friends came around to take her out for a meal. She dreamt about a lot of things - her life, the people that she knew, what the future could hold for her and then ... she was on top of a high building. Lois recognised it as Big Ben - wait, how on earth did she manage to get up there? Her mind screamed for answers, but she was too weak to even fight for willpower.
Lois looked down and saw everyone getting on with their lives. But the strange part was what her mother said to her before. The words whispered in her ear almost as if she knew them by heart.
"You don't know it, Lois, but you're much more special than you think."
But how was she special? What was so different about her? She was just plain, simple Lois Evans, girl with ambitions. As the wind whipped through her hair, she closed her eyes and outstretched her arms as if she was getting ready to perform a stunt. And with that done, Lois went forwards and found herself flying through the air ... only to be met by Casey's angelic face.
As soon as she saw his face in her dream, Lois snapped back into the real world and realised she'd dozed off for a good half hour when she looked at the time on the clock on the wall. Groaning, she sighed. There was a knock on the door and she cursed under her breath when she went to go and answer it. Casey was there.
"Hey, why didn't you call me?" he asked, looking confused.
"Oh ... that," Lois said, yawning a little. "Um, sorry. It's been a long day, my mum got arrested for shoplifting and I had to go bail her out ..."
