Hip Hop/Rap

The only rapper I ever liked was Eminem. As most of you said, his only good album was his first. Although I did like a couple of songs in his second album such as "The way I am".
 
YOu'd like Common, OutKast and Immortal technique. They've all got really good lyrics like:

"I wanna' be as free as the spirits of those who've left, i'm talking malcom, Coltrane, my man Yussef,
Through death comes perception
New breath and resurrection
..."

Cant stand rap or hib hop. IMO its just pure noise.
I'll agree Eminem had some good songs once, but then I stopped listening.

NaS, Jay-Z, Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, Busta, Method Man (the whole Wu-tang clan for tha matter), Jadakiss, Lox, Ruff Ryders, Bigg, Pac, Ludacris, Outkast, T.I (he's ok...), Eminem (50+ G Unit is 100% garbage!). that all I can think of now.

I'm a huge Kanye fan. I also like Nelly, Ludacris, Smilez and Southstar, T.I. Timbaland. My favorite under Kanye is Teriyaki Boyz. I love there J-Rap style.
 
Teriyaki Boyz are pretty good.

I don't listen to J-Rap at all so it's something I'll have to look in to.
 
Teriyaki Boyz make it sound tight. I'll send you some of there stuff. They did some stuff with Kanye West and i think Pharell. Kanye wanted to bring them to the states.
 
They're actually pretty good.

They did a song for The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, if you ever saw it you'd remember it.

I agree, 50 and G-unit are the worst i've heard.

I'm dissapointed though, you missed out The Game..and Dre lol. The rest except from Lupe Fiasco, Jadakiss, Lox, T.I, and Kanye are good.
 
Rap

Let's discuss rap. Jay-Z is the greatest to me. Lets quote favorite lines and favorite songs in this thread.
 
I can listen to some rap from the Beastie Boys...but that's about it. Overall, I despise rap with a passion.

Heart of a Champion by Nelly isn't too bad...mostly because it's a good song to run to.
 
Emenim absolutely sickens me. His rap is probably my least favorite.

The only rap song I like, maybe even love, is "Missin' You"...I forgot who did that one but its my only favorite.

Jay-z talks about how much money he has and about his hoes and his bitches, he is just a commercial rapper who targets white teenagers, because they will buy his shit.
He has no integrity

You sir are buggin. You must not listen to his albums. His is a hustler he gives you singles that will sell his album and the real smart talk on the cd's. He even says money sex and violence romance for the street and you tell me im not gonna be top seller. He knows what he is doing he is the greatest rapper ever. Listen to his albums b4 u talk.
