How and when do you think the world will end

Here's what I think, and please no religious crap (there can be talk of a god, devil, heaven, underworld, ect. but no speaking how a religion says the world will end)

It all starts with a war that tears the world apart. There will be no more rich, all will be poor and living in war torn waist-land. The demons of hell will rise out and will destroy the world. The world will end when the one leader of the world, goes up and challenges the devil. The world will end when the leader either loses or wins the battle. Win life eternal in a new earth. Lose, the world will burn in hell, or the new earth ruled by the devil.

I think that there will be a war so bad that Nuclear bombs will go off in all contries at once resulting in mass destruction and almost little to no survivors. The ones who survive would have to face starvation due to the fact that there is no crops left...

I think it depends. Maybe once all the resources (water natural gas) etc is out is when the world will start slowly coming to an end.

Maybe Global Warming or some shit also contributes too and maybe USA will get too polluted and everyone dies or something.

How the world will end, like the planet or human population. The planet will "die" when our sun hits a supernova or if something amazing like a meteor comes crashing into it.

Humans could likely die out much quicker. We do have scarce resources; however, limiting population size can level things out (via war, famine, etc...). Global warming may affect us, but we are pretty resilient and innovative when it comes to solutions. A total nuclear war will not occur unless all the world leaders become morons. No clue how the world will end, your guess is probably as good as mine. All I know is that it will be way past my lifetime.

Roughly 6 billion years from now (Give or take a few decades), the sun will expand at a fast rate than gravity will push our little planet away from it. At which point, we'll all return to where we came from, the sun.

If you're wanting an answer that occurs sooner than that...

We'll meet some alien race, declare war on it, (See: Valley Tribes Theory), and they'll get pissed and fight back. At the very least, it'll bring the human race to it's knees.

Personally I think the human race is currently very arogant about itself and seems to have some kind of fascination that we will be the doom of ourselves and of Earth.

The Earth has been around for several millions of years, even before we existed, to believe it wont exist after we pass on is just pure arogance and ignorance in itself.

Personally I think the World as humanity knows it will likely end in catastrophe, similar to how the dinosaurs were wiped out, either that or we will have meddled too far with science that we may well doom our own race for playing God far too much, due to some obsession with extending our own lives, we forget we need such things as children and end up dying out with no offspring. The Earth will carry on regardless however until the Sun becomes far too inhospitable as it ages or even until the sun eventually dies out, billions of years from now.

Doesn't take a total nuclear war to end the world. Just takes a few retards higher up to put push the buttons. Here's the bottom line folks, we have no idea how the world will end, because honestly you have to think beyond yourself for a moment.

Think, the world has been around a lot longer than we have. Don't bring your Adam and Eve terminology in here, it's as fake as a million dollar cereal box prize. The thing about it is.. even if some retards decide to go to war with one another because of the lack of resources, we are a very resilient species.

What you call the end of the world, for some might be the beginning. I'm not talking about afterlife, I'm talking about an ends to a means. Think for a second. Except for a few cases in Africa and other rural spots, most humans have learn to interact with one another and created their own societies and domesticated themselves far to much.

We as humans have superseded even our own expectations as far as science has come in only the past 100 years. We have gone to the moon and back.. we have sent satellites into space 11 billion miles away. I don't see us ending our own species... I can see us moving and setting up space stations and such like we have already done. Planet to planet, till we finally recolonize.

I honestly don't know how the world will end or if it will ever. I mean eventually the sun will burn out, this is a proven thing in science as some would say. Though, we might be in another galaxy by then.

Here's what I will say, do you consider the world ending though.. when you die? Why does it matter when the world will die, if the chances are you will never see it?

I think that people are smart enough to stop this happening though, there is a mutual interest to stop things like that from happening.

Also, loads of things hit the Earth each year. It's never reported though. I remember watching a space program a few years back and they were talking about how Jupiter's gravitational field pulled in an asteroid this size of Texas and threw it off course. It was heading to Earth.
Like I said, it was a few years back and I was young so don't quote me on that. But asteroid hits a very real occurrence and one could easily destroy Earth.

I think issues like asteroids are issues for the next generation though. I don't think there is an immediate threat from them! (and people are on the problem already )

For reals, though, I'm going to have to say it'll happen when the sun burns out. It sounds like one of those things that we won't be able to adapt to.

Asteroids enter the Earth's atmosphere all the time but usually burn up. Some do manage to hit the ground and become meteorites. But yes, the chances are low.

I guess it depends what you mean by the "end of the world". In a literal way (as in the whole planet being obliterated), it will be either from the solar system meandering too close to black holes or supernovae. Just one supernova light years away can easily tear the Earth apart. Or it can be billions of years in the future when the sun expands and swallows the planet.

But if we simply mean apocalypse - as in a huge population of the Earth dead and only ruin and destruction everywhere - an asteroid is a very likely prospect. If an asteroid can end the dinosaurs in a week, humans aren't going to survive long either. A nuclear war is possible too - a prospect that J F Kennedy feared, as I may have read somewhere. I do hope that mankind considers before pushing the button - and I know that we will. None of us wants to blow up the world any time soon.

You're description of a post-apocalyptic war is very vague. How does this war start? How does the planet become a wasteland? Nuclear Warfare? Global Warming?

When you speak of THE Devil and indeed Hell I assume you're not referring to Satan? What of God? Surely the two must exist in tandem?

Why do you believe this? Your idea sounds like an amalgamation of both Religion and Fantasy.

I believe in what is written in the Bible. I won't bash you all into the ground about it but I'd just like to highlight the fact that when you jump into a discussion so deep in Philosophy and Theology without considering every angle you're likely to break your legs.

I don't think the world will end, things will continue much the same way as they always have.

I highly doubt that there will be a Nuclear war, if there wasn't one during the Cold War, I don't think we'll have one at all. It's unlikely that we will live in such a bipolar in the future, as everyone has recognised how potentially dangerous that is.

I also don't think that aby big rock from space is going to smash into the earth and kill us all like that. Nor do I think we'll have a Malthusian population control problem either.
I think life will just continue.

On December 21, 2012 the Earth's crust will collasp swallowing up every living thing into it's molten core. However, several space ships are currently being built for the world's richest and brightest to hopefully find a new planet to live on. However, this never happends and they all die of starvation, thus humanity ends.

Yeah, I watched that aweful movie and combined it with a super popular sci-fi story and I haven't slept much in the last few days.

Anyways, isn't there something about the universe expanding so far that it collasped on itself? I suppose that is how the world will end. Bur for Earth, after billions of years the sun will become a red giant and consume the four inner planets. There you go, astronomy from someone so fatigued that they can barely process anything
