How Many Hours

I played the game straight through with no strategy guide and beat it in 41 hours. Nothing really special...I only used 3 characters the entire game and got through without a problem really. They were around lv. 52 or so. Now I'll go back and try to get everything that I missed.

sound boring dude only 3 characters used and just played through the game without doing anything on the side. well i havent used any help been exploring every part i go to ive used all my characters there all at lv 47 right now. i rather play it once all the way and doing everything possible and enjoying hunts and side quest then playing it again right after i beat it cause i know once i beat it i wont play it until i get the itch for it again.

I dont know...I've always played Final Fantasy's like that. Play mainly the storyline the first time through. Then use cheats off the internet when needed to try to get everything. I have been using this method since FFIV, the first one I owned.

After completing nearly everything and beating the game, Its 185hrs (180 something...). The only thing I did not do was find the proper items for tournesol and whatnot, I also gave up on Yagyu Dark blade (the bomb just didn't fuckin' drop it... thats one problem I have with FFXII, alot of shit that you want to appear is based on a percentage rate... its kinda annoying). I also never got to encounter the monster that supposedly drops the best dagger in the game. So I gave up on him as well.

I agree with yessie4200 its abit more fun to try and do everything at once because you dont know what to expect. It just makes the game that much more interesting.
