How many times have you played your favorite FF game, and how many hours was your longest play-through on an FF game?

I have yet to replay any of the FF games (only been playing for about a year, and wanted to play a lot of them before i went back to replay) And the longest play-through was on FFVII at 52hrs. Got mostly everything, and damn you chocobo breeding. FFXIII comes in at second with 49 and counting.

Anyone else?
 
Ooh, let's see. I've probably played through FFIX at least 8 times. The time on there is anywhere between 35-50 hours, sometimes even more than that, if I want to try to get EVERYTHING. I have yet to do so, though. :hmph:
 
Woah, well I don't remember the hours, but it's definitely Final Fantasy VII. Over 70 hours I do believe, (cause I wonder around a lot)

I can't believe how many times this game has been re-played, resetted, 100% completed, and whatever else on my memory cards. :wacky: After I finish VIII this time, it will be the first time I'm gonna complete FFVII on my Ps3, I'll be so proud. :ohoho:
 
I can list them alllllll! :D

VII: About 60 hours a playthrough, usually getting a lot of the extras.

VIII: Oh GAWD, I can pull about 110 hours a playthrough. Triple Triad seduces me everytime.

IX: This is my favorite, but I zip through it for the story. If I don't then I get burned out on Hot and Cold and restart to relive the story. About 30 hours a playthrough.

X: This game is about 120 hours. Blitzball takes days. I love the story on this one as well. But I live for the blitzball.

XII: This one takes about 80 hours. Shorter if I power level Vaan at the beginning (and the other characters join at that level + more). Sneaking into the palace at level 40 is pretty sweet. I powerlevel to enjoy the story, or slow play it for challenges on the hunts and what not.

Love me some FF :D
 
My favourite game is FFVII. I've probably had anywhere between 12-15 separate savegames on it, but I have only finished it twice. I have clocked about 70 hours on the longest of these games, but never had a 100% game.

That's not the longest of all FF games for me though. I had a 120 hour file on FFX. With the Monster Arena and Blitzball, this game probably has more to offer than any of the other FF games.
 
This one is Tough :hmmm: i'm going to put down all my games with how many playthroughs and approximatly how many hours i've played just because i want too :mokken:

FFVII- 6 Playthroughs 76 hours game time

VIII - about 5 playthroughs and 60 hours gametime and yet to complete it :sad2:

IX - 4 Playthroughs: 70

X - i have 6 save files, and have started new games a lot so bout 15+ playthroughs and 120 hours game time and climbing on my latest Playthrough. Love this Game

XII - one play through at 12 hours

XIII 2 playthroughs at 40 hours
 
Back in the day when I strove to get everything, VII is what consumed me most. Between Chocobo Racing/Breeding, mastering Enemy Skill materias, and beating the Weapons, I must've clocked about 70+ hours or so. After that, I guess X follows. Monster Arena, getting the Celestial Weapons, maxing stats... anywhere between 50-100 hours. Usually 50 though 'cause I get pretty bored.

IX and X-2 come in at 3rd with around 24-ish hours. Both are pretty entertaining and have time-consuming side quests/mini-games to play after and amongst the main story. As for replays, I'd have one or two serious attempts at getting as much as I can, and anything after that is a casual play-through. All of the above have seen multiple re-runs, with IX clocking in... quite a lot indeed. >_>

All of which pales in comparison to my Star Ocean 3 file though! 250-300 hours. D: (yes, I know that's not FF)
 
Most playthroughs would be FFIX with maybeb about...12. But the Chocobo Hot/Cold game is like, the best mini game on any final fantasy and there is just so much to do. Like find Mognet Central, all the hidden treasure, the friendly creatures and so on. I have played it a millions times over.

And as for the most hours clocked. It has to be FFX. It takes the longest time to kill the Dark Aeons in my eyes. And especially if you aim for 255 Luck too. It's a joke though, would be 10 times quicker if everything didn't counter with Ultima. So depressing when it does like...5 damage too -.-
 
I have played FFx like 3-4 times and my latest save file is with 200+ hours..yet I havent got everything needed to be accomplished...like Penance.....and 1 damn ultimate weapon maxed, Lulu's argg.
 
I have played FF XII 3 times and got up to about 75-80 hours for the third play.
After the first time i've played a FF game I like to replay it and nerd my way through as much as possible, collecting every treasure, completing every side mission and wandering everywhere that is posible to wander.

The only FF game i've played once is X-2. In my opinion it's way too short and corny as hell.-__-
 
FFVII I have about 70+ hours on my last playthrough.

FFVIII: Usually 100 or so because of Triple Triad /nerd. I love this game so much, and Triple Triad only helps me play it for longer. I always try and get every GF and Omega Weapon too, which can take a while.

FFIX: 40 or so hours. I'm so-so about this game, but there are undeniably some epic moments. It has a good story, and I generally don't go for sidequests. OZMA :rage:

FFX: 120+ hours because I spend ages grinding in the Omega Ruins, fighting in the Monster Arena, and fighting Dark Aeons.

FFX-2: 80+ hours because of the Via Infinito. I love/hate that dungeon. I also spend at least 5 hours a playthrough killing bandits on the Moonflow. :jimberry:

FFXII: Abouuuuut 70+ hours, because I go for the hunts and such, which usually involves me going all over the place to find the fuckers :gonk: Nearly half of any of my FFXII playthroughs involve Hunts. Thank you, Gilgamesh :hmph:

FFXIII: 60 or so hours, though I haven't gotten NEARLY all the Ci'eth Stone Missions yet. I think I did about ten of them in Chapter 11, then moved on. I'll platinum it...someday...
 
im not sure how many times...but i played around 75-120 hours i guess..not that monitoring it much
 
This is 1 category where I feel "HeavyWeight" applies.

I played FFVII 10 times and pushed the clock to the 99.99.60 limit! on several occasions.

FFVIII was a lot of fun and filled a long gap of my time.......9 times 1 playthrough at 726 hours, why?.........I liked the battle system and put alot of work into getting the characters to a pointy where they were the way I wanted them I ate alot of crap to get there stats up! (Devour of course)

Ahhh FFIX many a play through and fun every time, save the 13 one, I tried many different ways of playing the game, with all my characters at lvl99 from the start, All the Guys had 99 speed: at that rate there is no waiting once the speed stat goes beyond 60 it climbs, and fast. I thinkthe speed formula on FFIX is based on Your current speed as a % of Sixty =X amount of seconds of lag time between turns?

FFX & X-2 for total of 9 with X at 7 and X-2 at.....well 2. FFX was so fun to play through over and over again, the battles system was ingenius and possibly the last great ATB system S-E came up with.......after the botched efforts of XII & XIII!
BlitzBall! kept me pushing the clock up towards 500 hours.

Ugh now we are in ro the dreggs!

Sadly FFXII got about 4 playthroughs outta me mostly through stubborness as I tried to reconcile my disbelief over the crappy crappy crappy crapiness Vaan! other than him it was quite fun......

And FFXIII I didnt even finish! Whats the point?
Its just another 10 to 15 hours of mindless X button bashing.

Strange thing is in the end I used to like playing FF games primarily just for the battles On FFVIII the battle count registered 10,000......which is about 10 times the amount need to finish the game, these statistic say more about my.......peculiar interest in FF than they do about the long term appeal for the average FF gamer.

I would think?

My two favourite FF games are VIII and IX. I've played VIII 5 times and IX 7 times, if I recall correctly, and out of those times, I've completely VIII 4 times and IX 5 times. The other playthroughs I've gotten bored or something near the end, something I tend to do a lot of the time... I most recently did it with XII >_>

My longest playthrough was probably the last time I played X. I clocked up 120 hours through level grinding, playing blitzball and doing that hunting thing. I don't think I've ever come close to that on any other game :lew:
 
I've tried to play through FF6 about four times. The first time I lost intrest in the middle of the World of Ruin, second time I beat it, third I didn't even make it out of Narshe before quiting, and fourth I stopped around the Veldt.
The time I did beat it the clock stopped around 70 hours because I got all the characters and I'm kinda slow at playing games. XD
 
/my favorite is FFVII and I've played it around 4 to 5 times.I must have reached 99+ hours since I had been playing it for a month the first time.
Yeah,I wanted to level up many of my Materia so had to battle a lot,also made so much money...
FFIX is the second longest game.I think I played this as well for over 99+,I beat the Chocobo treasure game of course.
 
FF VIII about 50 hours(1 savefile cause when i try to replay it my game freezes at the first disc during the cutscene after you beat that robot/spider thing

FF IX about 200hours (3 savefiles)

ff X also 200 hours 5 ( 3 savefile)

FF X-2 30 hours(hated the game )

FF XII 300 hours (3 savefiles)
