Long story short: this is coming from a convo on MSN. :hmph:

How often do you do your laundry? My family is pretty much on a daily basis with laundry: there's always some to be done, since I live with a 4 year old hyperactive child. Also, I personally feel more comfortable wearing something I know is clean, but that's just me. :hmmm: I guess some other people feel that they don't absolutely have to do theirs every single day.

I used to do my washing almost every day but that's a waste of water, here in Aus water is a precious resource and we get charged a lot if we over use it :wacky: I also have enough clothes in my closet to last me if i decide not to do my washing for a day or too.

So I probably do my washing every 3 - 4 days. No need for anything less.

I was doing the washing every two days, but I got lazy and only started doing it every Monday and every Thursday.

I have enough uniforms to last me all week and I don't go through too many clothes on the weekend. I'm home most of the time, so one change of clothes does me fine each day.

I still wash them after wearing them once, just not straight away. I don't need to as I do have other clothes. Save for jeans and jackets. I don't feel they need to be washed after every single time I've worn them. I'm not a dirty person. I have a shower before I put on my clothes and I don't wear them all day long and get sweaty and gross so that I need to wash them.

Like Toni said, water is precious here. XD We're renting at the moment so we don't get a water bill, but I'm practicing the way I use water for when we do have our own house, so that it doesn't come as a shock to us on our first bill. >.<

Since I live 7 miles away from my mother I have a laundry room on the second floor (same floor I live on) but I never use it alot cause the damn machines cost $1.25 for washer and dryer.

I do my laundry when I go to my Mother's house every other weekend (Example: Go to mother's house November 18th through November 20th, Next weekend stay home). I do my laundry on Saturday afternoon or evening depends how many loads I have.

I do my laundry fairly often; about two times a week. In all reality, it's probably too much, but I really like for my clothes to be clean as I can't stand the feel or the smell of a shirt that's even the tiniest bit dirty.

Every weekend. I'm doing the rest of the family's clothes at the same time so I'm downstairs most of the day; just efficient to do mine as well. I do place priority on stained clothes and such, washing them as soon as I can.

I also have to agree with Ringo. Dirty clothes feel awful on you and I can feel the dirt and grime and ick. Or at least I think I do; the point is ick.

Ahh, this explains so much. I feel bad about getting mad at you now. :(

We do our laundry whenever our baskets get full, which is about every weekend. I have plenty of T-shirts to last me until then though! XD

We have a laundro mat in our building, but you have to pay for it, so sometimes we have to wait until my Dad gets paid so that we can do Laundro. Ehh.

I try to do it once a week so im not left with piles of it but i really really hate washing so much -_____- Its easy enough when its all just socks and boxers. But t shirts and stuff you have to hang up on the clothes horse to let them dry and inevitably iron them :rage: Il prooooobably do the washing tomorrow so i have some nice clean clothes for saturday. Ideally i would do it every couple of days to keep on top of it, kind of like doing the dishes as you go along. Something im equally as bad at :rage:

I usually only get out of jammies if I'm actually going out of the house. Which is like, almost never aside from work (which I have a few sets of uniforms of). Water is like really expensive in my city so we wear everything multiple times before we wash it and we always hang and air dry our clothes to save on gas from the dryer. I wash my set of uniforms about once a week. We all do our laundry sporadically throughout the week as needed.

Usually about once a week. Though it depends on many factors. If me or my husband need a shirt cleaned then we may do it more than once a week. But on average, once a week.

Now that we're living with my parents we tend to only do the washing once a week.

It's a bit too awkward with everyone around to be able to do anything like we used to.

We usually stay up late and during the week at our old place I would do the laundry late at night.
Now though, my family go to bed early and I don't want to have the washing machine going all night while they're asleep so I just wait until the weekend.

It's just easier that way at the moment.

So can't wait until I have my own place again. :gonk:

My dad is a laundry nazi. As a result, the laundry not only gets done each day--it gets done multiple times each day. Not by me though. By the laundry nazi. I've only done the laundry once in my lifetime, which is quite pathetic.

Anywho! Here's a breakdown if you're interested (you shouldn't be). It's the laundry nazi's laundry routine.

-Wake up. Check laundry hamper. Remove white clothes. Leave rest behind.
-Run whites. Dry whites.
-Go to work.
-Immediately upon return, check laundry hamper. Remove dark clothes. Leave any whites.
-Run darks. Dry darks.
-Fold whites from the morning.
-Pester everyone in the house to take off their dirty clothes for washing the next day.
-Search house for dirty clothes. You know--the ones that we purposely leave under the kitchen sink.
-Eat dinner, watch TV.
-Fold darks.
-Distribute clothes.
-Repeat at own discretion.

It's scary to watch.

Living with my boyfriend, I do my laundry quite frequent. We're both pretty slobby (well i am when i eat) and we work out daily as well, so most of the time, there is always clothes in the laundry hamper. Sometimes when we're being really lazy, we wait. I think the longest we've gone was two weeks, but that was like, stretching it and we had to do two loads.

I'd say once a week.
