I'm coming up to Mount Gagazet, and I need to get a whole bunch of Lv. 3 Key Spheres, and I hear Biran and Yenke are good sources, as long as Kimahri can use Steal. So how can I get him over to Rikku's sphere grid really quick? I have some weird things like "Friend Sphere, Blk Magic Sphere" and such, I just don't understand how they work. ;S

Ok a Blk magic sphere simply allows you to learn a black magic spell some other character has gotten on the sphere grid. The Frined sphere let's you instantly transport to the same node that one of the other characters is on in one move. So see who is closest to steal and have Kimahri use a friend sphere to get there is your best bet atm

If you have skill sphere, you can use it to activate 'steal', if Rikku has learnt it. If you use friend sphere, you can teleport to the place where Rikku is currently. Hopefully she is near the steal node so you can get to it easily. Going back to the original path you were on will be quite a hassle, but staying in Rikku's path is quite a good idea too. Or just use teleport sphere. You can teleport to any node activated by other characters. Warp sphere is the best choice as it can teleport anywhere, but I doubt you have one at this point in the game.

But if your goal really is Lv 3 sphere, there are alternative ways you can get them later in game, for example, the monster demonolith in Omega ruins.

Can he still return to where he was before I used the friend sphere, or will he have to follow Rikku's path until he is able to branch on to someone else?

EDIT: The main reason I want Lv. 3 key spheres now is because I want Lulu to learn Doublecast, and she cannot move on the sphere grid until then, and Auron's finished his grid, and he can't go anywhere else without a Lv. 3 key sphere, I believe.

Which path is Kimahri on currently? Many people think that having Kimahri in Rikku's path is a good choice, so you may as well stay there. Or you can try using a skill sphere if you have one?

He's currently on Auron's path. After he finished his own part of the sphere grid, I sent him to Tidus' grid, and then after learning Haste and Cheer, I put him on Auron's. I have a Skill Sphere, too. So I'll use that.

Also, another quick question: Where does Auron go at the end of his portion of the grid? :S I'm only at the Calm Lands and I already reached the end. Yuna's almost done, too. She's about to learn Holy.

Oh I am sorry! Steal is not a skill. it's a 'special'. Use special sphere instead. Haven't played the game for a long time :P

Auron's path directly connects to Tidus after that lv3 lock.

As Always google is your friend, http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100226103049/finalfantasy/images/archive/9/94/20100227155638!Final_Fantasy_10_Sphere_Grid.svg

Not sure if that is advanced or beginner, but just cross check it with your game

That's the Standard Grid, you can notice this since Ultima is in the centre whereas on the Expert Grid it's at the top right. Besides that the paths are more linear and don't open up until later on.

As for the topic at hand, stealing the Level 3 Spheres is a good way to get a few off those two, but there's always ways of obtaining them later. By the sounds of your party it doesn't seem like you're be struggling too much any time soon, if you learn Holy by Zanarkand you're laughing to be honest.

If you want easy spheres later on it's best to unlock Bribe (which is right at the end of Rikku's path) and then Bribe Demonoliths for them. I don't think they're exactly cheap but they're there and they're infinite, so it's always handy to know.

You could always use a Special Sphere (if you're able to get one - maybe I was, but I might have used it to upgrade my weapons) or a Teleport Sphere - it transports the character to a node activated by an ally. This way, you can teleport Kimahri directly to the Steal node and can have him learn both Steal and Use, which can be very helpful since you can use Al Bhed Potions on him and that they become very abundant once you get past Bikanel, and other things you might have in your inventory that can be used with the command Use.
