Why does hypocrisy bother you, because it seems to bother everyone. As I searched to make sure no one had made a similar thread it got quite a few responses, from Usamah or however his name is spelt by people wishing to show off their knowledge of arabo culture to Cloud X Aerith club. Personally I think people get too upset, caught up etc etc by hypocrisy. Yes it's disgraceful, but in a rather non serious way. Does hypocrisy annoy you? Why does it annoy you? Why is it seen as such a powerful thing, if you are able to prove someone is a hypocrite then people think they've proved themselves right. Do you think hypocrisy is given too much important? And anything else you can think of.

The only time I get angry with a hypocrite is if they have spent ages telling me what I shouldn't do, telling me seriously that if I do (insert whatever here) then I am crap/the worst friend/a ****** etc but then go and do that same thing.

If it is someone being a Hypocrite over something small and stupid I don't really care, I might try to tease them about it or 'troll' them about it but otherwise I couldn't give a crap.

Everyone is a hypocrite! If you say otherwise you are a liar or are just delusional.

Well I think hypocrisy is a natural tendency in humans to be self-serving, we want to be able to do whatever we want, but if someone else does the same thing and it conflicts with us somehow, then it's suddenly not okay for them to do it. I mean if you eat a whole pie because you want it, without saving some for anyone else, you can't really complain about someone else eating a whole pie that you wanted without being considered a hypocrite.

So like Squid said, I won't get worked up about someone being hypocritical unless they tear into others hardcore and then are revealed to be subject to the same flaws or whims. It is a lot to ask for anyone to be 100% selfless 100% of the time, so a little hypocrisy here and there is understandable IMO.
