I have just beaten FFVII! Like, 30 minutes ago!

It took me a while to get used to the graphics (A.K.A: Cloud's Popeye arms) but that quickly subsided. I was very impressed with the story line, which I sort of knew by watching Advent Children beforehand. The Materia System was a little confusing, but not like the Sphere Grid of FFX.
The Final boss was a great relief that he wasn't too big of a pushover, unlike a lot of others have been. And the ending is quite powerful with the Lifestream blowing away Meteor.

Overall, I would definitely say that this Final Fantasy was one of the greatest. Can't say THE greatest, as this is only the 3rd one I have beaten. Two thumbs up, 10/10, Five Stars, whatever you want to go by!

First off, I commend you. :D
For beating the game.

Second, I agree, one of, if not the, best Final Fantasy out there. ^_^
I'm glad you though the Final Boss great, took me a while to defeat him though, so, how many times did you die before you beat Sephiroth?
Or did you die at all? :P

haha I lost on Safer Sephiroth a bunch of times too, mainly because VII was the first FF game I ever played, and I kinda just rushed through the game without lvl'ing my people up. To add to it all, I had so much damn materia equiped that their health and strength was weak. But I actually just started a new game, and I'm doing fine now, I just got to the Forgotten City and I'm already lvl 50 plus.

The first time I ever played, i had to be at level 70 before I could even beat the last boss. :'(

But it was the first FF I'd ever played. lol.

Yea haha, I actually was only on lvl 50 when I tried to beat him the first time through.. I had to end up leaving the crater, lvl up a little more till I was about lvl 55+, then go try to kick his ass again.

I think I may play this game again. ^__^
I haven't played in so many years. It takes wayyyyy too much time, even if you know what you're doing.

The Kalm scene really bores me to death when they each tell their stories...I'm like hammering away at the X button waiting for it to end. I know all of the scenes already by heart. XD

First time I beat it I was between 60-70 and I remember I had like 2 characters left, 1 was frog (I didn't have Ribbons) and both didn't have that much HP and Safer Sephiroth was casting Super Nova. Since the scene lasts awhile I decided to go down stairs all disappointed to tell my brother I died at the last boss and that I would have to start awhile back. I go back upstairs to find out that I'm still alive! ^_^ First thought in my head was "What the hell?" but I quickly continued and I managed to beat him.

That was probably one of my highlights in an FF game. :D

Yea like I said, I started another game recently. Sometimes I think I'm being too careful though, because I end up beating some bosses on 1 or 2 hits. I killed Rufus and Dark Nation on 1 hit with Fire 2 - All. Then I killed Demon Gate in two hits with Barret - Satelite Beam and Cloud - Meteorain.

My guys are a little too strong now...:O

Whenever that happens to me; when I lose the last battle after leveling up for so long, I just feel unmotivated and I stop playing for like 3 months. lol. I always lose the last battle the first time around. XD

And I hate it when bosses give status effects but you cant give them status ailments in return. =[

Oh yea, I know what your saying, it took me like 2 years to beat FFVII the first time around because I kept saying Screw It.

Congrats on beating FF7. Now time to play it again, only this time, beat the WEAPONS and tell us how you rate them on difficulty.

Nice going on beating the game. =D. I have not beaten it yet, I don't think. EH, I don't remember either. haha.

Anywho, I am glad you like it. The story line IS done quite well. I think it's my second fav. FF Game.

Congrats but........hasnt most everyone here? lol gj though :-):)

A lot of people's first FF game was FFX. FFVII: AC brought in more FF fans (or just FFVII fans) and since that came out the prices on FFVII are pretty dear for a game that is 10 years old so I wouldn't be suprised if a lot of people here still haven't played it.

I haven't. I haven't even played Final Fantasy VII. Final Fantasy VIII was my first and its actually the only one i have beaten so far.

Congrats on beating the game, it definately is up there as the best RPG experiences. I'm so glad you was able to get past the gaphics as my mate couldn't handle it as his first was X and I don't think he could handle the old-skool graphics, which was a shame.

I've completed it once and I've started a second file at the end of disk 2 and I started again cause I missed the beginning quarters of the game. It didn't take me so long to beat VII, mainly because I was so in awe of it (it was my first). I've got my strongest file (cause I've beaten Ruby and Emeral and have leveled up all my materia), my second file (that's going to be my Master file (because I missed W-Item in my first file) and then I have the 3rd file cause I wanted to start again. I love this game.
