In a manner of speaking yes and no.

A post it's just a simple reply to someone else's thread in which a topic is discused. A thread however, it's a starting post which begins a discussion over a certain topic.

Also you post in the threads or in shoutbox, chat rooms, etc..

Actually the meaning of posting is writing something in a forum, since this is a message board for FF fans in most of the forums, for the RPG Inferno in the RPG Realm forum, or for general discussion in other areas.

Normal Replies go to your post counts, but Threads (which is the first post of a thread) adds one to your "Made Thread" Count...
