[IC] The Wishing Grail

OOC: Terribly sorry for the delay for a mediocre post as this...
A lot have happened the last weeks.
----------------

Jedark sighed at his wood-aligned companion. Though it was quite right in them needing to get things happening rather than standing there all day, there were still so many questions.
He’d actually prefer more to have an hour or three with this man before he’d add him to the roster properly, but it was not always something one could simply take time to do. Though Jedark had voiced that they had plenty of time, it was always an uncertain factor if he was right or not. His overarching goal regarding the Grail was far from his alone, and the lower value (but still valuable, mind you) goal of the current job at hand was also in danger, so to speak.

“Well-” he started after his sigh drew to an end. “-Though it’s as you say; we are hunting information about the grail, though this is a long-term goal more so than the more direct mission we have waiting for us. In Folve there is a board which have had a job on it for quite the time, people don’t want to take it due to the danger it represents, the local guard force doesn’t have the manpower to spare so... yeah... Basically it’s a search and destroy mission, we’re to find and capture the leader of a group of bandits. A smaller off-shoot of the much more spread organized crime group; Vyzia. We need the boss alive, but anyone else we can simply remove, they had their chance and didn’t take it. We’ll be given more details as we arrive there, but my source tells me they might be holed up in an abandoned fortress.”

Ending his explanation he took a look around at his party, if one could call it as such. This mission was not without danger, and the reason the local guardforce hadn’t done anything about it was rumored to be several things, amongst them were bribing and worse.
If they could capture the boss and have him confess and explain then this would be quite beneficial for the area as well as for the party’s pockets.
But for now, he simply waited and took in their reactions, he wanted to know their honest feelings about possibly assaulting a mountain fortress full of bandits on their own.

Amira listened to what Jedark had to say on the matter and she took in the information. "So a smash and grab with capturing a bandit leader...in an abandoned fortress...in the mountains..." For Amira, this wouldn't be a problem, her ability to climb up buildings could come in handy in mountainous terrain, especially when sneaking up on potential enemies.

Turning her attention to the other two in the group. "I got no problem Jedark, what about you Ramja, Dapeton? Ready to go mountain climbing?" Amira said in a childish tone, all the while asking of the others. She seemed confident in Dape's abilities, given preparation. As for Ramja, Amira personally wasn't sure, sure she could hold her own in physical combat, but there wasn't much nature to go on. All of this strategizing left her deep in thought.

Taking Amira's point into serious consideration, he gave it some thought. Although he has not gone mountaineering in a while, Dape imagined that it would be similar to going through dungeons and such -- with more effort involved. Effort. Dapeton hates that word.

Dape feels that if anything, his new comrades are much more fit to climb thousands of steps uphill than he ever will in a lifetime. Yes, Dape can probably keep up to some point, but after a while, each step will feel like a painful and slow death which will eventually take its toll on him. He really wouldn't know unless he tried. Besides, he did have his super bag with him. How bad can it be?

In what seemed like forever, Dape let out a sigh and gave Amira a thumbs up. He would've preferred voicing it out, of course but Dape feels that if he were to do so, speaking his mind may merit some sort of explaining, and talking, and yadda yadda... To cut it short, Dape wasn't up to it. In his head, he has reached his quota of spoken words today than he would ordinarily have done in a month. And yes, it takes considerable effort for Dape. And Dape hates taking the extra effort unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary.

Dapeton checked his bag -- waterskin... check. Food (or what seemed like it)... check. Rope...? Yes, there's still some in the bag. Explosives, trap bits, gemstones, scrolls and weapons always comes second to supplies. Yes they're in there alright but Dape would not hesitate to throw them out for more important things.

Dape thought he was ready than ever -- his wounds are fully healed, formalities are out of the way, and his supplies are, as he fondly says, enough to feed an army.

He looked at his new comrades with newfound respect. The tree-folk, the rogue and the mage-like character, he knows that his companions, though not quite family, would definitely have his back, whatever the situation. Whether or not he is as battle-ready as they were, Dape is prepared to help any way he can.

"Gotta remember their names though."

The mission was straight forward enough. Go in, bust heads, ransack the place for the goodies that Jedark was after, "question" the boss and then turn him over to the town authorities and help the commonfolks. The fortress bit was a bit of a hiccup though. After all, fortresses weren't build for people to just march in whenever they please. A small, dedicated squad with the full intention of infiltration, however, was different. Amira was a rogue and Ramja was QUITE sure this was probably not the first fortified building she has snuck into. Dapeton was.... well, a trapmaster. Surely he had a whole slew of stuff in that bag of his. Plus, his less... "aggressive" demeanor might mean sneaking in would probably be his more prefer method of entry anyway. Jedark was Jedark. Who knows whats going on in that mage's head and she sure as hell know he wasnt going to pick a target and have no plans on how to get in.

I should have no issues with scaling up a mountain or a building. I have had plenty of experience with escaping from my own chateau. As for the mountains, its strewn with vegetation. If need be, they'll be more than willing to help myself and any other that might need some assistance

That last part was more for Dapeton than anyone, but the invitation was there for those just-in-case moments. Vines should be a plenty if the fort was perched on a mountain. Ramja wouldn't even need to bring her own rope. All she needed was right here, on the ground. A quick equipment check didnt hurt though. Her coin pouch, rations, and miscellaneous items were quickly accounted for with a nonchalant pat, but her swords and the small, bags of seed she kept around her was given a much more personal attention. These were her life and she would rather lose her rather substantial pouch of coins than lose one of her seeds. Satisfied that all is well, Ramja motioned for the rest to set off as she was good to go, but a few things needed to be asked whilst they moved.

It would be safe to assume that you have some sort of idea or plan once we are inside? We aren't just going to sneak in like common padfoots and rummage through each and every room, right? Hopefully, said plan also included on how we are to liberate and bring the said bandit boss into custody?
