We get 100x100 for being a noobie and 150x150 when we're finally veterans.

Well, is it possible we could provide one more size for people over like 5K posts? Like 175x200. I really like having longer icons and I see almost every forum allow that kind of thing nowadays. I don't know if that size can fit with this forum layout, but I'm crossing my fingers. Also, I was wondering if we could maybe have the ability to have gifs as icons, too? I know we technically can as is, but it is very hard to get them to work and they usually have to be very small and LQ. I know forums have to host the images and that might be a strain on the site, so what if we can just put a link to the icon instead of having to upload it... I think that would help, right?

Is any of this possible?

I don't think that's possible due to the system having the max size of 150x150 implemented. It may be something the technical admins could look in to if the Admins even OK the idea.

Personally I see nothing wrong with a 200x200 icon size, as LONG as it stays within the userbit bar.

Yes, 200x200 is perfect!

I believe all the admin techs have to do is change the size in the code. :hmmm:

Well yes, but plenty of coding going on with FFF. xD

Perhaps if enough members are interested?

No coding necessary. Is this something that others would like to see too? Just don't want any complaints about avatars being too big, etc. =P

My personal opinion is, 200x200 is the maximum we should go if we decide to up the limit. I realize that some people enjoy some freedom and movement space, like signatures. 200px does not exceed the userbar section, and the length doesn't harm it too much either with an addition of 50px.

That's my two cents. =]

Well, since there is no opposition, we should just do it :ohoho:

danke mits and kira for talking about this!

it's actually as easy as logging into the admin control panel and typing the maximum dimensions into a blank field. But really, it depends. I could see wider display pics being fine, but I also use a 32 inch tv screen as a monitor.
