Hi. I want to unlock Gabranth and such so I started shade impulse. I got through it with my level 52 squall untill I got to chaos. I need tips, strategies, anything that will help. I cant seem to get him with my bravery attacks and the only HP attack that gets him is the circle attacks. Please help. Any help would be appreciated.

He's really easy, so don't worry. He's very dodgy, so just do a brave -> dodge spam.
Heel crush him, and if he dodges, dodge away. Understand? Rack up your brave until you can kill him in one hit, that's the best and easiest way to win. Dodge as many of his brave attacks as you can, because he steals your brave so easily. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE UP-TO-LEVEL EQUIPMENT. His HP attacks are slightly harder to dodge than his brave. The game gives really good tips on dodging them, so make sure you read them. If you have any other questions, just ask.

Squall's HP attacks are useless.
Use bravery attacks until you have enough bravery to kill two thirds of his HP. (eg. if he has 3000 hp get 2000 brave)
Squall excels in his brave attacks so spam them.
when you have enough brave use a HP attack and wall rush him so he'll have about 1 hp.
After that its a matter of spamming HP

Look if you want a good way to win then the best thing to do is find a faster and stronger character to use but if u like strength I'd recommend Cloud!

I really wish I could help you out, but by the time I was at that point, I had Lv. 100 Terra and she whooped his ass. Don't get me wrong; she still got a little roughed up, but it wasn't difficult. Terra might seem hard to control, but she's amazingly powerful if you use her right. If not, I'd say level up Onion Knight. He's good with his speed and multi-hit techniques. I couldn't imagine fighting that battle with Squall....X-x

I'd recommend using anyone but Gabranth. Cloud would be good, but seeing as he's easily the most overpowered character in the game, it's be a little cheap... Zidane's good due to his speed, power, and being able to link a lot of his moves into Meo, makes him an awesome candidate. :D

you guys do know that the TC posted this 2 months ago right?

and btw, Zidane is many times more overpowered than Cloud, with the fastest link in the game(swift attack) and combos that do alot more damage than Cloud(outside of ex)

Kefka is the most overpowered. Don't even look at me like that. His Scatter Shot Blizzaga thing can hit the enemy three times with full force in EX Mode really easily.

If not him, Firion. That's who I used.

In any case, since I'm assuming that Squall is your highest level character (read: only option), I'd say this: Drop Rough Divide. The stage is not made for it. Other than that, beating Chaos is all about dodging his attacks.

The one where the fireballs form around you? Wait until they're about to contract, then dodge.

His combos? Block, then retaliate.

His teleporting combo attacks? Just keep dodging.

Where he sprays fire at you? Charge up to him & attack.

Where he creates a pillar of fire around himself? Dodge back as fast as possible.

Note: I know the proper names, I just find a description a lot more helpful.

Utter Chaos, his so-called "ultimate move" is completely laughable. Even if you get hit (which is likely, as his sword strikes are hard to dodge), it doesn't do much brave damage, & it's ridiculously easy to get out of the fire circles at the end. Don't be intimidated by it.

Also, knowing what summons & accessories you have might help.
