I'd recommend that it would be better if we all just assume that this is genuine, at least in this thread.
If it isn't genuine then what have we seriously lost if we were to believe it? Is being known for falling for a prank really the end of the world? On the other hand if it is real (which I'm taking it to be) then questioning the validity of this news can't be very comforting for her brother, and people risk disrespecting the dead and upsetting members here who did know her and care for her.
What I'm saying is it doesn't really matter whether or not we believe this news to be true. It's hard to be sure on the internet, but I'd just rather not risk disrespecting Faith and her relatives by saying that it's all a lie just so that I wasn't seen to be being tricked in case it wasn't true.
For James and the family of Faith... I'm sorry to hear about this news. It must be a heck of a lot to deal with, and I wish your family the best.
