@Yaoi- unfortunatly I live in australia and can only find XIII-2 new and XIII pre-owned.
@Black_ eclipse- I only have a Ps3 as my ps1 and 2 died and I wasnt around for nintendos reining era. I hope for the 25 aniversery square eniq is remaking all the main games for the next generation
thanks for this info, although unfortunatly i'll never download games after the incedent after loads of people lost thousands, as to smartphones, there the same problem, I know im probably worring to much but it never hurts to be careful.SE is remastering FFX for the PS3 and PSP. But we speculate that they will take very very long to release it.
Remakes for FFV and VI could also be on the way.
However, besides the ones above, there is very little hope for other FF game remakes in the near future.
You can actually download FFVII, VIII and IX via the PS store and play it in your PS3 (If I'm not wrong, FFV and VI are available through this method too). Alternatively, you can get FFVII online through the new FFVII PC port.
Do you own a smartphone? You can get FFI, II, III, IV and FFTactics from it. But these are the classical FF games. They may not appeal so much for beginners as they have outdated graphics (that is, if you care about graphics) and arguably weaker storylines (though FFIV and Tactics have good stories) with harder game difficulty.
Most FF fans also agree that FFXIII and XIII-2 are the weakest of the entire series, due to various reasons. However, since you can access these two easily, then there's little harm getting them. Just play them with an open mindset, and keep in mind that the FF games are very different. Hating FFXIII does not automatically mean that the rest of the series is bad. Some people also end up loving these games.
Good luck in your FF adventure!

and thankyou for wishing me good luck, and no I dont care about graphics
didn't you hear about the guys who hacked into Psn? they caused people to lose thousands. What do you mean by losing thousands? These downloads I'm talking about is a definite one-time purchase. There's no subscription fee. And Square Enix, the FF company, is obviously legal and safe, just like every other major game company. As long as you legally purchase and download via the PSstore (for PS3) or the AppStore (for iPhone), and make sure that it's really published by Square Enix, you will not get scammed or whatever.
Don't worry too much
