Instruments?

No, no, I'm talking about put a piece of sheet music in front of him and he can play as though he composed it himself.

I played the piano as a kid, but not too much anymore.

I've always wanted to learn a string instrument, though. Might try to pick it, or try piano again.

I used to play violin and trumpet, but i hated it, and i now play guitar, piano, accordion and fife

My ex plays flute. I tried to give it a whirl once... it was hugely unsuccessful. I nearly broke the damn thing.... and then she nearly snapped off my flute. She gets defensive about that crap.

I've played a fair few...

- Piano
- Violin
- Recorder
- Tenor sax
- I've had singing lessons and been in multiple choirs
- Ocarina

I now play the piano from time to time and own a sax and a violin. I need to re-teach myself when it comes to the violin, though.

I've been playing cello for about 9 years now, so I'm fairly good at it. I love playing it aswell, but I quit my lessons a few years back because I hated going to them.. regret that now.

I can also play guitar, not *that* well as I taught myself, and I don't spend all day playing it like a lot of people, I probably pick up my guitar a couple of times a week (or more depending..).

Play bass aswell, a little like cello except you tip it on it's side :P Same with violin, can play a little and read the music. Can also play keyboard but I'm not too good with reading the music.. and have tried teaching myself piano but I have no co-ordination so can't play two hands at the same time. =(

Really want to learn something new though, like saxophone or flute..

Oh, and I have accordion somewhars...

I've been playing the guitar for around 6 years. I'm currently at grade 5 and trying to work my way up xD
But I have tried to give the piano a shot too...and failed >_<

I played piano (Grade 7, Advanced) for 7 years, and I was youngest in my teacher's class, since I am the only grade 6 student in probably Toronto who plays grade 7 piano. I am currently working on:
1. Fur Elise
2. Rondo-Tocata
3. Solo in F Major
4. Sonatina in C Major
5. Etude in E Minor
6. Etude in C Minor
That's all, though I mastered them. I still have like, 5 months til the exam.
I also play cello, though I just started 4 months ago, for the school instrumentals. I am currently very well-mastered in both instruments.
I've been playing since I was about, 4 years old.

Keyboard and Drum Kit, thanks. I play drums in a band, too, as well as every orchestra that can lay their paws on me. Scotland is apparently short on percussionists who can actually read music.

I'm self-teaching myself both the Piano and Guitar, too.

i can play drum kit (its KIT why do some people, usually americans no offence, call it a set?) been playing that for 2 years, been playin electric guitar for six months, might learn how to play my dads old bass if i get the time.

im takeing either drum grade 1 or 2 in the summer. dont have any grades at the minute though

I play the French Horn in band. i've been playing for about 5 years and i just started taking private lessons so i can get even better before i have to try out for college scholarships.

i played piano for about 7 years. i recently stopped b/c ive gotten behind and just dnt have enough time to do it rite now.

I used to play the flute when I was in band between grade 6 and 8. I haven't touched it sense then, almost 7 years ago.

I always wanted to play the drums or the guitar or the piano (in that order xD) but alas I can't even play the recorder I stink at music in every sense I can't even whistle in tune & singing ughhhhh your poor ears if you ever have the misfortune to hear it

I think I posted here earlier, but there are lots of instruments I'd like to learn aswell. :D

In the process of learning accordion.. >_> Well, I have one at home so may aswell learn it I guess. :P

It'd be nice to learn something Scottish like the Clarsach or something lol, which is like a small harp. Not the bagpipes though, they sound awful close up >.< And I wouldn't have enough puff in me, my face would turn a whole spectrum of colours before I got one note out. xD

I've always really liked saxophone aswell, and flute. I dunno, something that doesn't have strings for a change coz I can already play cello/violin etc.

I used to do voice as an instrument in music but my teacher told me to give it up because I'm too quiet. X) True, though.

Edit: Woah the :D has changed o_O

I used to play clarinet, tambourine, blocks, bells, slide whistle, and "duck call"(aka using just the clarinet mouthpiece) with my family band. I never really was professional like they were, because dance is much more important to me so would just kinda guest star at performances all over the southeast. I also got injured at my place of work in 2003, so playing clarinet was noooo fun. I was in a sling and a brace, and neither were helping the pain. I have a permanent nerve condition as a result of the injury, but I like to think playing clarinet kind of helped rehabilitate my arm and hand at least a bit.

In my early 20's I attempted guitar, but didnt do so well. And violin was not a good idea either. I can play recorder a little bit, though my mom says she is going to kick my butt if I play Grieg's "Morning Suite" near her again! She complains because its repetitious. And honestly when you listen to it for a while, she has a point.

Keyboard and piano.. ok, I can hunt and peck at the keys at best. My dad used to let me try playing accordion when I was a toddler. At one of my family's last music jobs my brother let me try to play his tuba and my sister let me try to play her trumpet. I was better at trumpet then I was at tuba, and I kinda sucked at both. Mom also let me play the drums.. which as long as I dont have to mess with the bass drum its ok, I'm just really not cut out to be a drummer.

In elementary school music class I got to try(and for the record liked): Samba, Chinese Blocks, Xylophone, Glockenspiel and a couple other of the midsize and smaller instruments of that family.

If I were to get and learn an instrument right this second... I really would want either a Marimba or Vibraphone, and if I can't get a hold of those :( then I would pick an oboe.
