Maybe we'll make a separate thread for stories, pictures... general extras of the like.
Given the enthusiasm of those involved, and the lack of contact from 2 I'm still waiting on, I will proceed with the main intro tonight. Characters can/will still be accepted after it's up, but due to travel plans of one of the players, I want to get up it and going before they do

Personality: Mithras' experiences in the employ of Viola were harsh, but altogether not unkind. Forced into maturity after his mother’s death, Mithras embraces the purpose being a part of Viola gives him, taking on a worldview that distracts him from the everyday pains and aches that plagues his personal life. As a direct subordinate to the Chief of Security - the head enforcer, so to speak - Mithras lacks the unflinching loyalty often expected, but nevertheless is incredibly disciplined when tasked.
Yet a part of him remains distant, even when directly interacting with people - as if some part of his mind is missing. Philosophical, and a pacifist to a certain point (though orders are usually obeyed), Mithras takes on a paternal and kindly (or at least as kindly as a security officer could possibly be towards his charges) nature when interacting with Destrillians. However, his absent-mindedness gives him the tendency to lean towards the role of an absent uncle, rather than the doting parent. When directly confronted with something not critical to the wishes of his Viola employment, Mithras can be frustratingly opaque – but even the most vicious threats and insults seem to either fly over his head or glance off harmlessly, and many who deal with his methods have learned the meaning of patience.
Physical Appearance:
Despite having developed the skills and training necessary to subdue (and even kill, if need be) Destrillians, the first words one would consider using to describe Mithras would be “gentle giant”. With a bulky, well-defined physique visibly marked by scars, and a rough, stubbled face, Mithras looks every part a killing machine. Straight-backed and intimidating (at a height of 6' 4"), the image belies his personality. Pale skin complements the bleach-white of his shaved scalp, and his irises are colored an icy grey-blue.
Surgical scars from his combat experience (and his "practice" with Destrillians) criss-cross many parts of his body, but older, earlier ones from childhood stand out the most. A particularly heavy scar starts just up above his right collarbone and traces its way up to the right corner of his mouth, pulling it up into the small, wry smile Mithras always seems to have.
Mithras wears the battle dress uniform of Viola's security staff, but lacks any of the body armor or overt armament they have, preferring to fight light and borrow weapons from other personnel.
Physical Abilities:
Physically, Mithras virtually matches other Destrillians blow-for-blow, and where he lacks in sheer brute force against tougher opponents he makes up for in experience and creativity. He posesses remarkable speed (especially for a man with such bulk), which puts a great deal of force behind any blow that connects. Despite being well-versed in military hand-to-hand and a huge variety of weapons (both orthodox and impromptu), Mithras feels most at home within traditional forms of martial arts, both soft and hard (with a slight preference towards hard and fast, disciplined joint-breaking punches and kicks).
History:
Mithras Connor-Guzman’s childhood was unremarkable. His mother, although a scientist under Viola employment, was fairly middling in the company’s standings, and along with the typical blue-collar, rough-and-tumble father they were the very image of the middle-class nuclear family eking out a life for themselves. Their family’s fortunes seem to take a turn for the better as Facility One neared completion, and the decentralized research taken on by Viola began to agglomerate into a base from which the Connor-Guzman family could easily commute. Mithras’ mother was employed in the Facility from day one of its inception, although arguably out of convenience rather than necessity.
As things began to look promising, however, Mithras’ mother was killed in a freak accident at home, which crushed any hopes of normalcy in the Connor-Guzman household. His father, already stressed from overwork and the losses from participation in his favorite underground fight club, was pushed over the edge – and the regular martial arts lessons he gave the boy easily degenerated into hour-long sessions of brutal physical abuse.
Viola intervened at the point where Mithras’ life seemed to be in danger. Whether by serendipity or by design, security forces raided the home and saved him from a particularly savage beating, whisking him away from home. It would be the last Mithras saw of his father, by now wasted away and a grief-stricken alcoholic.
Over the following years, he himself became a charge of Viola. He became a formidable soldier and a well-disciplined warrior, already honed from the years of his childhood. As a member of Viola's security staff, he witnessed numerous Destrillians projects come to fruition (and some come to pass), and resolved to see that their treatment within the Facility could be made with as little pain and suffering as possible - and hopefully, along the way, he could help them find purpose.
Hm, I wonder... If this new thread opens would we continue to post any profiles profiles here, then? I'm tempted to take a little inspiration for Dr. Shen, Euon's handler from Qin Shi Huangdi.
Karu Of course. Like I said earlier, profiles can amd will still be accepted either for Docotds and Dessiss.
satsubutt such as CEOs? I think a name or two jas been reserved for the prime CEOs of the other companies but Viola is still open. There were one or two people who may have wanted to take the CEO fpr Viola so I left it open for them. If you'rs after it, or other Viola sxdcs, its an open option.
satsubutt no rly.. You left his name in a couple times
I DONT WANT WILKINSHIRE. I HAVE NO REASON TO USE IT. STOP PESTERING ME
Baseret probably takwe the last two setences there... eh? The Dessies have their own private quarters so there is likely (re: gojng to) be some leeway between controntation of the spwcimens.
Baseret , bro ease on the gank on Ralph for now, they're on separate quarters and possibly far from each other. Have Tarlach battle the mooks for now, as I need to clear development for Aya and Ralph before they encounter any other Destrillian.
Eh, I apologise. I'm just a touch scatterbrained lately trying to piece together the coming year all at once. Reserving a space in this post for my dear Dr. Shen's profile as at 4:13am I'm afraid I'm of little use.
EDIT: I apologise for further sleepy eyed ignorance, but are we all supposed to be keeping clear until Aya and Ralph reach this level of development or simply avoiding contact with the aforementioned characters?
