A couple weeks ago, a friend of mine expressed an interest in forum roleplay and asked me to give her some advice. What came out of it was me on Skype effectively teaching it classroom style. While I had expected it to last maybe an hour long and just go over the bare minimum I ended up spending about 2 hours on just an overview of the generic parts of the character bio. Even now, I'm just about to start on the basic rules of forum roleplay and this is I think the third 'class', for lack of a better word, and there's still so much left to do.
It was when she said at the end of it, 'You know, you're really good at teaching," that I realized that maybe I had that talent for it and that possibly there are others on here who want to join but can't for some reason or another. Maybe they just don't really understand how forum roleplays work or they might feel wholly outclassed by some of our more prolific rpers like Tipsy or Ringo. Whatever the case, I thought I might see what people think about having a class/tutorial on roleplays so that newcomers can be able to get a handle on it easily.
So what do the veteran rpers think about it and also, perhaps anyone interested in RPing who would want to give it a shot?
