Now let me first say I love FFX, I got the blitzball to the left, and Im playing it right now so I'm just trying to see if anyone thinks it is. I only bring it up because everyone FFX board has threads about what the story is and then filled with arguments over what this and that means. Ive played it alot and I still have to think about whats going on sometimes to keep up. I personally like it because it has all the twists and turns and really makes you think about what everything means as it happens. Anyone feel they should have simplified it or any comments?

No way.

It's not complicated really, it just sparks debate. That's a sign the story was thought out, and detailed, not that it was complicated.

Now FF7 is overly complicated without explaining a whole lot of anything. And it sparks horrible debates.

Course that's just my opinion.

Complicated?!?!?

Hell no!.....I think this had the best story-telling.....even without a twist....Like Ke$ha I'd agree FFVII had way too many twists especially with its spin-offs.

But FFX everything is explained while your playing the game......Unlike other FF's thm main character: Tidus is clueless, and people need to tell him whats going on more.Aloowing you to understand the story better.

(AmbivalentNightmare DO NOT HIGHLIGHT THE BLACK BIT IF YOUR PLAYING FFX THE FIRST TIME!!)

I don't think there was any twists to FFX except
at the end where Tidus is a dream, and has to leave.....that was one of the biggest twists in FF I feel...It just came out of the blue with no explanation.

No. I would forcely object. The story is well-told and completely very linear. I guess what you're referring is the part at mount gagazet where Tidus suddenly fell asleep and dreamt of the kid and told him that he is just a dream. Man, they're conversation is very confusing.

I think the story is very easy to understand, there wasn't one point in the game when I was confused as to what was going on. One of the better Final Fantasy games based on story in my opinion.

What parts did you specifically find complicated if any?

It's quite straight forward imo.
I wouldn't say at any point I was confused by it...I would say that some passages of dialouge was just hard to understand at the time with the Gagazet Tidus being a dream part.
But when you realize afterwards in the story aka the ending you realize that it makes sense in it's own way.

It was actrually straight forward to me. You basically knew from the start things were wierd, that Seymore wasn't all good like he was appearing, and all the stuff about Yevon was kinda obvious. The only things that threw me off were
The Yu Yevon "summoning" sin thing which they threw at you at the end of the game basically to extend it or something, and how Tidus was a dream, but you knew something was up when Tidus went 1000 years into the future, where his dad was.
Other than that, it was straight forward, no huge suprises.

In the beginning the game tends to be a bit confusing since things are a bit unclear as to what's happening, but as the game comes to a conclusion you should know what exactly is going on and how it all happened with an exception of a few details.

This game to me was pretty simple to grasp but not overly simple to where I knew exactly what was coming next. It still kept me surprised.

Now, FFVII was one that I STILL am confused about...=/.

Nah its an ace story:D

Its one of the better stories in all of FF, it has drama, romance, moral stuff:lew:
I think if you told us what parts you dont understand fully would be helpful coz unless you are just asking opinions we could just say Yay or Nay to is being complicated.

I don't think there was any twists to FFX except at the end where Tidus is a dream, and has to leave.....that was one of the biggest twists in FF I feel...It just came out of the blue with no explanation.
:wacky:Wut?

It had an explanation, a damn good one.

FFX is my second favorite Final Fantasy game, and I still couldn't tell you much about the story. I could only figure out about half of it. The rest might have made sense, but my mind just has to reject it as "this isn't the correct interpretation".
