Okay guys i know i previously said i have played FFVII before but i was lying... i just wanted people to like me.

Anyway recently i have "recieved a "copy" of final fantasy VII. The battle system is alot like the one in X and the whole time based thing was really advanced for back then. Anyway yeah i have been having lots of fun, havent got that far though, still on disc 1. I met aeris who ended up making me dress up like a woman to save tifa from a sex maniac. Then we fell down the sewers for some odd reason and then we climbed out and i saved and fell asleep because it was 3 in the morning.

Im planning on updating this thread regularley for my FFVII experience:)

Why lie, people won't not like if if you haven't played a game :wacky:

Anyway, glad you're enjoying it, it'd a bloody good game, I love the wall market part, probably one of my favourite parts of the game

Playing a game isn't related to liking you :gasp:
And yea FFVII is a great game, it's my favorite. ^_^ I actually hate Midgar and the story that happened 5 years ago (after replaying it couple of time) :/ after that it became quite interesting

Well, as long as you're playing the game. Cloud dressing up as a woman is pretty funny. And you get to keep the items in your Key Items lol.

Imagine Barret finding THIS among the key items one day.

Ok just finished playing an extremely long marathon

Story progression: So after coming out of the sewers we travelled through alot of rubble and eventually got to a giant pillar that kept secter 7 up. And i had to reach the top before the bad guys destroyed it, we left Aeris to look after some strange person and traveled to the top. Then we met some weird guy and someone that had captured aeirs (knew that would happen at some point) long story short the pillar collapsed and sector 7 was destroyed. After that the mission was to go save aeris so i ended up climbing this strange pipe thingy up to a giant building. Then i climbed the INCREDIBLY HIGH stairs which took an insane amount of time to do. Eventually after about 45 minutes of running around collecting machine parts we found aeris who was about to be raped by some sort of red dog. And then we saved her and the red dog started talking (y'no as they do) and he ended up in the party and then i saved:)

My thoughts: GOD THE STAIRS WERE LONG! Anyway some pretty intense story progression there what with the entire sector 7 collapsing, didnt see that coming:huh: However aeris being kidnapped is something i suspected since i first saw her due to the whole sweet lady being chased by bad guys thing. Building level was kind of boring i suppose.

So i guess tonight i will play some more and post another exciting and intense update:cool:

Haha, this is entertaining from your perspective. I so should have done this when I was on drugs...
Oh well. It's in the past now (But FFVII is possibly the best game when you're high. For those who're interested. :P).

FF7 is one of the best games on earth, along with all the other Final Fantasy games. Glad you enjoy it. I will post no spoilers, only advice for earlier parts. Did you get all the stuff so that you could get picked by the Don? It's really funny if you get picked.

No i had no idea you could do that! *wanders of on youtube*

:) Hope you're having fun, but I also hope that you are becoming more immersed in the actual plot than your deadpan summaries let on. Personally, I found myself forgetting some of the early story of the game, which spoiled things a little bit.

I'm not certain, but I think you may be able to avoid the long climb up the stairs if you take the alternative option of simply storming the ground floor lobby. The latter option involves more fighting, but it may let you take the elevator straight away.

lol yes im a liking the plot so far. I like how it is constantly developing, and i realised i could have avoided the long stairs after i had climbed them:mad:

Indeed. Maybe the talking dog was just all that heroin?:)

Just incase anyone decides to take this seriously like on my last forum, im joking

The first time I played I took that route up the stairs, it nearly killed me, I can't believe how long that took and all you get is a bloody elixer >_>

At least soe of the dialogue from Barrett was funny, although I have only done it that once, never again

You really ought to try to get all the items from Wall Market if you play again, it's really enjoyable, especially if you go in the Honey Bee in, I was like WTF

Keep us updated, Imenjoying reading your progress haha

Good luck and have fun.FF VII is one of best games ever.I dont like the Midgar part very much personally, still i have to admit thats it is good part and well made.Meaby its because the game after Midgar gets only better :) I am actually playing atm and trying to get all limit breaks expect lvl4 ones at beggining.I just went trouhgt Golden Saucer and got mithril just from a man in a cave :)

Thanks for the comments guys

So im just about to go on it again, i know i said my update would be on last night but i was busy and ect. So yeah, an update soooooooon:highfive:

Lol,this thread reminds me of a diary.

Anyway,I'm glad you like even though it's an old game with horrible graphics(compared to the graphics of modern games). It's just proves once again that FF7 really worths and it's not an overrated game.
One of my favorite parts was Wall Market as well, but also the story from the past.

o_O Woah guys just got back from a pretty intense playthrough!

Story progression: Okay so eventually in the building i had a pretty intense boss fight with a giant machine in a lift (?) and that was pretty cool. Then i had a pathetic battle with some other guy that was like the son of the guy who is dead who was originally the head of shrina so now his son is because hes dead. He was extremely easy i didnt even use any magic apart from cure at the end. So then we left the building and split into two teams (Cloud, Barret, Tifa) (Aeris, Red XIII) and i magically transformed into a giant. Then we went to kalm and went in a hotel where cloud told his story. Blah blah blah, met his mother, met tifa, found some panties, went into the mountains, found some pods, sephiroth went crazy, ran away in a fit... wait... what? Then i went to look for him in his mansion and found him in the library speculating if he was a monstor or not. Then eventually he ran outside and i followed him and the village was on fire and then i followed him into the pod place where tifa was crying over her dead dad (yes i remember the scene) and then she tryed to kill sephiroth (lol) and sephiroth sliced her :-)holyshit:). He started babbeling on about his mother and then he cut through a statue of her and met the real her and that was the end of the flashback level. Oh and i bought a new sword for only 1000 gil, yay:)

My thoughts:
Building level still boring. Glad to get out of there. Whats with the citys suddenly being so small when u leave them its crazy. The flashback bit was GREAT! I loved it especially when i walked outside the manor i did not expect the whole village to be on fire! I think i actually gasped, same when sephiroth sliced tifa. Im not sure i fully understand, so he wants to help his mother rule the world? And he is angry and distressed that he is a creature not a human? If someone could clear this up for me that would be great! Eager to play more the only reason i stopped is to post this. Im still sort of in shock, hence my mood *looks to the left*.

Sephiroth!!!!!

And in case your wondering. Yes this is like a little blog where i update you with my final fantasy VII experiance, once im done i might do one for another game i havent played yet like IX.

All you need to know right now is that Sephiroth believes he is the sole Ancient/Cetra left and wants to take back the Planet for Jenova who he believes it truely belongs to. Any more explanation in detail will ruin later points ofcourse.

Its great to see someone new getting into FFVII and really enjoying it and not really knowing whats going on. Hope you enjoy the rest of the game just as much! If you ever need help on the game or plot at the time just ask :)

Thanks moonchild:)

Anyway heres a pretty small update.

Story progression: Nothing much has happened. I travled to some kind of farm for chocobos talked to a chocobo (?) and got a pretty cool ability to summon chocobos in battle. Then i realised i had to get a chocobo to travel across the marsh thing and then some little boy (i think, everyone looks like little boys in this game) said i needed chocobo lure which he sold to me for 2000 gil (!) then i needed some green which he sold to me for 1000 gil (!). After a few try's i managed to catch one and traveled to the cave where i saw a pretty bloody view of a gigantic sea snake with some sort of tree shoved through its entire body. Which was pretty cool. Then i traveled in the cave and met some retard named rude who said they were looking for sephiroth and then i left the cave and traveled to this tree house place with an golden bird at the top and then i talked to some old man who asked if i could help them fight shrina so i said sure and then i went downstairs had some rest and saved;)

My thoughts: God that chocobo lure was expensive! And after i had to buy a frigen 1000 gil green! And im not even allowed to keep the chocobo it just runs away! Anyway there isnt much to talk about... once again the sea snake bit was totally cool.

Look out for another exciting and intense update in the near future:highfive:

I took the long way for the sole reason of comedy. Face it, it's funny as hell going up the stairs.
And I know what's going to happen but I always end up going up the stairs, I have always done it that way and I have always gotten the Don to pick me, it's just funny xD

then i needed some green which he sold to me for 1000 gil
Bad deal, you got stitched. Should of bought a couple of the cheapest Greens. Think they last longer on Chocobos aswell actually.

As for the stair case in the Shinra Building, I never go up it the first time around. I go through the front for the extra EXP from the battles and the Turtles Paradise flyer etc...
Much much MUCH later on in the game when you are able to go back to the Shinra Building you can take the stairs again to find a Behemoth Horn (weapon for RedXIII though not paticulary good).
