I think she won best british female at the Brit awards last night or something, but what do you think of her?

I'm torn, I like a few of her songs - like Foundations, yet utterly despise that Kiss Boy song, and the one where she sings about drinking tea O_O

Cannot stand this woman or her music. >.< She is overplayed, she sings with that annoying London accent and the songs are just generally irritating aswell. Reminds me of Lily Allen too much, but I wouldn't say she is as bad as her though. She was singing live on a show at Hogmanay and was actually playing keyboard at the same time, so atleast she has some musical talent unlike Miss Allen who only got where she is because of famous daddy.

It's "I just want your kids boy", called Pumpkin Soup. Quite obviously a rip off of Natasha Beddingfield's I Want To Have Your Babies.

She does have quite a good voice, but not someone I'd really bother myself with.

Foundations is fantastic, but I havent listened to any more of her stuff. But to win Best female, hm, nah.

Havent got a clue, didnt watch it lol. But I thought Amy Winehouse would have won it, she seems to grab everything else.

That'd be far worse if she got it. You don't deserve recognition for threatening to kill yourself if your husband goes to jail and for ruining good songs like Valerie.

True, she is a twat, but I thought she would have won it. Which makes a change. But still Kate Nash ... I dunno.

The Brit Awards was a disgrace with the people who won. How Leona Lewis didn't win at least 1 award is beyond me.

Best British male: Mark Ronson
Also nominated: Jamie T, Mika, Newton Faulkner, Richard Hawley
- Could agree with that looking at the other nominees

Best British female: Kate Nash
Also nominated: Bat For Lashes, KT Tunstall, Leona Lewis, PJ Harvey
- Awful winner, LL was the most popular and biggest selling female which makes her better than Kate Nash

Best British album: Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare
Also nominated: Leona Lewis - Spirit, Mark Ronson - Version, Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion, Take That - Beautiful World
- Apart from that the Artic Monkeys are an awful band LL sold 12,000 more CD's.

Best British group: Arctic Monkeys
Also nominated: Editors, Girls Aloud, Kaiser Chiefs, Take That
- Kaiser Chiefs have had more hits, Take That are more popular and have better music. Plus based on last nights performance they are a disgrace to the British music industry.

Best British breakthrough act: Mika
Also nominated: Bat For Lashes, Kate Nash, Klaxons, Leona Lewis
(Winner chosen by BBC Radio 1 listeners)
- LL = fastest selling single and CD in the UK of all time in a space of a few months so how she didn't win is beyond me.

British single: Take That - Shine
Also nominated: Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love, Mika - Grace Kelly, Mark Ronson Ft Amy Winehouse - Valerie, The Hoosiers - Worried About Ray
(Winner chosen by a live public vote on the night)
- See Above

Best British live act: Take That
Also nominated: Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Klaxons, Muse
(Winner chosen by BBC Radio 2 listeners)
- Can agree with this

International male solo artist: Kanye West
Also nominated: Bruce Springsteen, Michael Buble, Rufus Wainwright, Timbaland
- Don't listen to any of them

International female solo artist: Kylie Minogue
Also nominated: Alicia Keys, Bjork, Feist, Rihanna
- Quite easily the best choice

International group: Foo Fighters
Also nominated: Arcade Fire, Eagles, Kings of Leon, White Stripes
- Again, probably agree

International album: Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
Also nominated: Arcade Fire - Neon Bible, Eagles - Long Road Out Of Eden, Kings of Leon - Because Of The Times, Kylie Minogue - X
- Only listened to the Foo Fighters album so can't disagree

Critics' choice: Adele

Outstanding contribution to music: Sir Paul McCartney

Best British male: Mark Ronson
Also nominated: Jamie T, Mika, Newton Faulkner, Richard Hawley

I'll go with that. He's had a lot of success, but I think as a performer Newton Faulkner deserves it. He's got a great voice.

Best British female: Kate Nash
Also nominated: Bat For Lashes, KT Tunstall, Leona Lewis, PJ Harvey
- Awful winner, LL was the most popular and biggest selling female which makes her better than Kate Nash
I prefer KT Tunstall tbh.

Fair play. They're the only ones with a good album on the list.

Arctic Monkeys are far more popular than Kaiser Chiefs. They may not have had as many hits, but they've had more successful and generally better ones. The Editors aren't bad though.

Aside from the fact that Leona Lewis is shit?
The Klaxons are the clear choice here.

- See Above
None of those are particularly great, but I'd pick Worried About Ray.

Best British live act: Take That
Also nominated: Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, Klaxons, Muse
(Winner chosen by BBC Radio 2 listeners)
- Can agree with this
I'd say judging from the fact that Muse at Wembley is largely seen as one the top live shows of the last decade, they should have won it. I've only seen Kaiser Chiefs off that list, though.

International male solo artist: Kanye West
Also nominated: Bruce Springsteen, Michael Buble, Rufus Wainwright, Timbaland
- Don't listen to any of them
Not really a fan of anyone there, but Kanye West can do some good stuff at times.

International female solo artist: Kylie Minogue
Also nominated: Alicia Keys, Bjork, Feist, Rihanna
- Quite easily the best choice
Not a fan of any of them really.

International group: Foo Fighters
Also nominated: Arcade Fire, Eagles, Kings of Leon, White Stripes
- Again, probably agree
Foo's are a clear winner there.

Again, a clear winner.

it sounds like my grandad judged the awards. first of all mark ronson is a dick. can anyone please tell me if he has ever done an original song? i've heard three and there all covers. plus he didnt sing on two of them. second take that dont deserve to breath never mind get awards. the only thing they di right was give the arctics monkeys and the foo's awards. it was actually decent last year because they had chillis do a song. the highlight of this years show? rhianna and klaxons. thats like saying hmm if i take a crappy RnB singer and add a crappy indie raveish band it will please everyone! no it wouldnt. the only way that would of been good was if rhianna screamoed the whole song. actually that sounds pretty awesome.

back on topic: kate nash is shit.
