Kesha fans hate GaGa

They're both shit, to be honest.

Kesha = Shit, bogus, almost criminally retarded lyrics thrown over a shit beat with a wardrobe that makes it look as if she's been dressed in the dark by Helen Keller.

Gaga = Shit, bogus, almost criminally retarded lyrics thrown over a shit beat with a wardrobe that makes it look as if she's been dressed in the dark by Helen Keller.

It's almost laughable (if it weren't so incredibly stupid) that people try to say that any of their music has "meaning". Just because you attempt to give a song meaning, doesn't mean that is has some deep, hidden, intellectual meaning. It doesn't. Shit reminds me what they did with the book, "Catcher in the Rye". It's a book about a boy growing up, and having some hard times. Not a book filled with hidden deep meaning.

Looking for some meaning in something so small isn't going to reap you any rewards. Unless you count looking like a pseudo intellectual asshat a reward.

There is no lesser of two evils here. They're both fucking evil... And possibly Cylons. I find it vomit worthy that music has come to this, and I find it headache worthy that people actually look up to these people in any fashion whatsoever. (Yeah, I'm fucking talking to you. Seriously, Gaga is your "hero"? Holy shit, and I thought you used to have a brain floating in your skull.)

The music is shit, the sound is shit, both "artists" (term being used very fucking loosely) are shit. I could come up with better insults, but why bother? I feel sorry for just about anyone that actually likes this garbage.
Kesha defines trash music, and I'm not saying that as an insult; it's the truth. Her lyrics are atrocious, Miss Nothing makes an awesome comment about her vomiting into a computer to make her sound "good", she tries to be as edgy as possible with her shitty grammar, shitty clothes, shitty hair, "trademark" glitter, and she's just a sellout.

At least Lady GaGa has something and believes in something. Any meaning behind her music is subjective. Who are you to say none of her songs have meaning? You can't argue that. Most songs do have meaning (even Keshit's), because the writer behind it always has some message or some sort of feeling when creating these lyrics no matter how silly or truly deep it is. You don't know what GaGa was thinking when she wrote these songs. Personally, I think she writes some pretty awesome music most of the time.

But I'll just stop right there in terms of which artist is deeper.

Let's go to the indie scene. Indie has made coolness really boring and bland. It's just the same old shit; rock n roll, cigarettes, lipstick, blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. There's nothing new and exciting. And Lady GaGa was totally part of that indie cunt New York scene once. I think this is just society (personified by a celebrity) rebelling against itself.

I think for you to try to decide what music should be and what "garbage" it's come to is shortsighted and close minded. What do you think should be cool? More indie? Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So tame. Indie is fucken pussy.
"ooo I'm weird, but not actually." LAME.
People are re-realizing a craving for actual weirdness. They're gonna start pushing the boundaries of coolness again. I say thank god.

Seems to me indie is mad cause Lady GaGa is "more indie" than them. So now indie bitches have 2 choices: grow up and stop trying so hard to be trendy or start being ridiculous.

AWWW SHIT! Indie music is the biggest music problem after the kinds of Ke$ha! I really can't take all their posture and the way those bands/musicians think wtf they are doing is always a masterpiece! I admit Indie has some good moments, even if I do not appreciate the genre (cuz it makes me sleep few minutes after playing) but damn each album I try seems more dull and hyped.

Sorry Catnip, but I don't like Indie music either. So your attempt to insult something that you thought I may like failed. But I do agree on everything you said about it. Just like Kesha, just like Gaga, it's pretty fucking awful and tasteless. Lady Gaga is somewhat unique, but that doesn't make her shit not stink. Of course, the same exact thing can be said about Kesha. I still firmly believe that their songs don't have any meaning, and I can tell you exactly what they both thought while they wrote the equivalent to lyrical diarrhea: Nothing. I'm 100% positive that thinking requires a brain, and I'm 100% positive that neither of them have one of those.

And yes, I'm close minded as fuck when it comes to music.

That's fine, you can be close minded, nobody cares. But buddy, get over your fucken self. Don't make it sound like everyone else needs to be just as close minded as you. And I wasn't talking about you and what you like, I was talking about everyone else. I even mentioned that in my tl;dr comment (aka the one that owned you).

Sure is you getting defensive ITT. It's my opinion, I can't help it if my opinion is better. That's just the way I roll. :ryan:

You wanted replies and I gave one to you. Sounds to me that you're the one that needs to "get over your fucken self". :griin:

You only think I'm getting defensive because I'm blunt and swear a lot. Don't flatter yourself, you're not interesting enough for me to care about. Your opinions suck, aren't any different than like 99.9% of the people who hate GaGa/Kesha are, and I destroyed you. Quit embarrassing yourself, man.

Alright, that's enough. Take it to PMs if you two want to argue. Let's try an keep the thread on topic. Thanks.

Those are kewl clothes. Lady Gaga dresses more weird than Ke$ha, so there. They still both make frickin' AWESOME MUSIC. Of course they hold no deep meaning, they're pop music.

You wanna know who beats both of them?

Demi Lovato!

She writes meaningful lyrics, wears pretty clothes, has a great voice, and does something different rather than singing about parties, drinking, or acting like a slut.

So Demi owns 'em all :wacky:

Whatever, man. Darqueweeabo is just hurting cause they know what's up with my rightness. Wow, Dance In The Dark, you have no taste, bro. I think it's pretty stupid for anyone to dismiss any possible meaning behind a lyric just because of the genre of the song. Kesha dresses like trash because she wants people to talk about it. Lady GaGa dresses the way she does because she mixes fashion with her "art" (lmao art). Demi Lovato is a mess and always will be--that's all that needs to be said about her. Get that Disney nobody-in-2-years out of this thread.

That's enough, guys. Cut out the insults and please continue with contributory discussion. Thank you.

As far as meaning goes, I don't think either is more insightful than the other, the lyrical meaning of 'Blah blah blah' can pretty much be summed up as "Shut up so I can have sex with you and if you don't shut up I will not have sex with you". Gaga's lyrics may touch upon different subjects but the ideas aren't really original.

However with that said I think the music video for 'Alejandro' challenges society's ideas of gender norms, which I guess is deeper than the average pop video clip.

Some of her songs actually do have some meaning such as the likes of Take It Off and We R Who We R.

After reading the lyrics to Take it Off, I bequest you, please, tell me what real meaning is in this song above 'FUCK YEAH, PARTAAAAAAAY!'
I'm not necessarily saying that songs about partying are a bad thing, but please, let's not pretend that there's any deep lyrical meaning to 'Take it Off.' :neomon:

Not true. I just don't like Lady Gaga's songs, it has nothing to do really, with Kesha. I think LG's songs are rather repetitive, which irritates me (not just to LG of course, others as well.)...

*Let's all talk about Led Zeppelin instead :33*

I like both, though I prefer Ke$ha because she doesn't insist that everyone of her songs is extremely deep.

Or that she's the greatest musician in the world, that her new single was gonna be the anthem of a generation, etc etc.

In short, Gaga is good as long as she can't talk. Take a note God. :wacky:
