Kesha defines trash music, and I'm not saying that as an insult; it's the truth. Her lyrics are atrocious, Miss Nothing makes an awesome comment about her vomiting into a computer to make her sound "good", she tries to be as edgy as possible with her shitty grammar, shitty clothes, shitty hair, "trademark" glitter, and she's just a sellout. They're both shit, to be honest.
Kesha = Shit, bogus, almost criminally retarded lyrics thrown over a shit beat with a wardrobe that makes it look as if she's been dressed in the dark by Helen Keller.
Gaga = Shit, bogus, almost criminally retarded lyrics thrown over a shit beat with a wardrobe that makes it look as if she's been dressed in the dark by Helen Keller.
It's almost laughable (if it weren't so incredibly stupid) that people try to say that any of their music has "meaning". Just because you attempt to give a song meaning, doesn't mean that is has some deep, hidden, intellectual meaning. It doesn't. Shit reminds me what they did with the book, "Catcher in the Rye". It's a book about a boy growing up, and having some hard times. Not a book filled with hidden deep meaning.
Looking for some meaning in something so small isn't going to reap you any rewards. Unless you count looking like a pseudo intellectual asshat a reward.
There is no lesser of two evils here. They're both fucking evil... And possibly Cylons. I find it vomit worthy that music has come to this, and I find it headache worthy that people actually look up to these people in any fashion whatsoever. (Yeah, I'm fucking talking to you. Seriously, Gaga is your "hero"? Holy shit, and I thought you used to have a brain floating in your skull.)
The music is shit, the sound is shit, both "artists" (term being used very fucking loosely) are shit. I could come up with better insults, but why bother? I feel sorry for just about anyone that actually likes this garbage.
At least Lady GaGa has something and believes in something. Any meaning behind her music is subjective. Who are you to say none of her songs have meaning? You can't argue that. Most songs do have meaning (even Keshit's), because the writer behind it always has some message or some sort of feeling when creating these lyrics no matter how silly or truly deep it is. You don't know what GaGa was thinking when she wrote these songs. Personally, I think she writes some pretty awesome music most of the time.
But I'll just stop right there in terms of which artist is deeper.
Let's go to the indie scene. Indie has made coolness really boring and bland. It's just the same old shit; rock n roll, cigarettes, lipstick, blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. There's nothing new and exciting. And Lady GaGa was totally part of that indie cunt New York scene once. I think this is just society (personified by a celebrity) rebelling against itself.
I think for you to try to decide what music should be and what "garbage" it's come to is shortsighted and close minded. What do you think should be cool? More indie? Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So tame. Indie is fucken pussy.
"ooo I'm weird, but not actually." LAME.
People are re-realizing a craving for actual weirdness. They're gonna start pushing the boundaries of coolness again. I say thank god.
Seems to me indie is mad cause Lady GaGa is "more indie" than them. So now indie bitches have 2 choices: grow up and stop trying so hard to be trendy or start being ridiculous.
