This is such a non-topic I wasn't sure whether it belongs in spam or up my rear.
I've an American classmate who says she has never ever seen a real life kettle until she started her course over here in the UK. She then told me that Americans don't typically use kettles, before telling me how primitive we lowly Britons are.
Her ideal way of boiling water is either in the microwave or on a stove. Needless to say, the microwave method slightly blew my mind.
American members on this forum, kindly disclose what you think about the old electric kettle as the civilised method of boiling water. And how you would personally boil water. Heck, do you even boil water? Are you one of those people who hate all forms of hot beverage and go straight for the cold water tap?
