Right, if you're like me, you're into KH for the long haul due to the amazing story and characters. However, I've been thinking more and more about the actual game that will be KH3.

First off, would there be Trophies in KH3? Assuming (and really, just plain demanding xD) the game is on the PS3, I could expect it, but I just don't quite know how that will work. I guess they could do something with Jimminy's Journal, so there's that.

Second, would KH3 have any reason to have online multiplayer capabilities? As a story driven RPG, I'd assume the focus is on the single player "mode", but could there be more, and could it actually work?

What about different character POVS? Would you be for it, or do you want just another Sora POV game?

Finally, what would the KH3 main theme be? Utada Hikaru screwed off after KH2, so as far as I know, she won't be doing any new themes. Would KH3 have either Simple and Clean/Hikari or Sanctuary/Passion as theme? Maybe a new singer will come on and do a totally new song for KH3?
 
Hikki was such a jerk to not do the theme song so I'm not sure what they'd do about that. :hmmm: I don't know about an online multiplayer. That would be awesome but I'm not sure SE would do that.

Yes, give me back Sora. I love Roxas, but my BIGGEST pet peeve in a game is when the MAIN character gets kicked to the side for someone else. We fell in love with Sora as the main man, not Roxas, not Aqua, not anyone else... But SOR-AH. I want to know what's up with HIS story and what HE'S been up to.

If KHIII is through somebody elses POV, I probably won't buy it. :/
 
I love the whole series (haven't played DS or Mobile versions), and I can't wait for this. I'd think there will be Trophies, probably be some on optional bosses or Character Level or somethink like that.

I'd think they'd try some kind of online multiplayer, probably in the Coliseum (That's if Hercules world is on it). It probably won't work well if they try that, but who knows how it'll go.

I mainly hope it'll be for Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Maybe some character changes here and there, but not too much.

I love both Main Themes for KH, but I think they'll go and use a different artist for the 3rd one.

I haven't been following news on KHIII, so I don't know if they know which worlds will be on this one
 
If they do have Multiplayer which doesn't seem likely since the only remaining characters around are Sora and Riku, it might just end up being like the Mirage Arena of BBS. Or they could do something amazing and bring back Organization XIII as multiplayer exclusive characters so I can play as Xemnas once more.

I really want them to bring in a new artist or band for this one. I love Utada Hikaru and all but I wanna more rough sound for the next title instead of a techno trance pop style song that has lame English lyrics.

As for POVs I like Sora being the mian dude but I want some Riku action especially since he has a Keyblade now. Which is why KH3DS gets my blessing. I always liked his storyline and his struggle with the darkness. Plus hes a badass.

Trophies, I can't see why not, FF13 had them after all. Could have stuff for beating worlds and getting trophies from the colliseum, getting to level 100 etc etc etc

Online multiplayer I don't see why not, BBS had it after all, could just have a Mirage Arena esque area or possibly have worlds where you can jump in to another person's game and join the party etc etc.

As for main theme, can't say I have much of a clue, but I have a funny feeling it won't be japanese, going by SE's recent love for western bands in Dissidia :hmmm: so who knows?
 
k well i don't know anything about the music but I'm sure SE won't dissapoint

the POV's will most likely be sora but i do hope we get to have rikus point of view and a special sort of kiari/aqua point of view

for the online i don't think they will make it that much different from BBS and multiplayer in 358/2 days tho i can't remember if that was multiplayer or just a fun little change.

i do think however they will make a game with a storyline but mainly based on online multiplayer gameplay this would most likely be the keyblade wars as they can have a multitude of keyblade bearers and will be able to add a customisation feature to make your own personalised characters also they can have a few different types of keyblades mainly Large keyblades which mimic terra's style of powerful yet slow the normal keyblad which is all round a staff keyblade to up your magic but does no justice for melee attacks a light keyblade that lets you do speedy attacks but power isn't exactly maxed but more powerful than a staff keyblade
they could also make keyblade warrior armors and since at that time it was all one massive world no gummi ship flying but they can add the key blade transforming feature for faster movement and make races through that as well

but thats the only online multiplayer type thing i can imagine happening with the ability to have some great fun

anyway back on topic i do believe they will have trophies and if its on wii then nintendo might add a trophy copy or something called medals and they might put it on Xbox for no damn reason lol
 
I really do hope they put the focus back on Sora. I haven't played a KH since 2... I know, but I can't be expected to have every single hand-held system just so that I can play what I believed to be a spin-off, but it turns out is part of the main series... kind of. I also wanted to see Zack in Hercules World but it's not worth buying a PSP over. =P

Back on topic, Sora=Yes. Sora+Goofy+Donald=Hell yes. I'll play KH3 regardless, but I'll be happier if they bring back the old trio, add some new worlds in addition to the old ones we love, and bring in some characters from FFIX dammit. They seem to fit the design of KH more than any other game so I don't see why the only one featured is Vivi. Also Balthier.
 
I was watching the Birth by Sleep secret movie again, and I started to wonder...How graphically intense in KH3 gonna be?

Like, seriously, in my mind, I'm still imagining PS2 graphics when it comes to the eventual PS3 release. And really, there's been no major graphic face lift in the series since KH1.

What are the odds were gonna see some CGI-ish rendering for KH3? 'Cause I dunno, I'm starting to think it won't happen, and honestly, I wouldn't care that much (although I like the intro/ending CGI :P).

I'd like to see improved graphics in the main storyline, and not just at the intro/ending of the game. I love how they make the intro and ending so realistic, and it would be amazing to see that in actual gameplay. But, I understand that would take a long while to complete.

Also, a POV from Riku and Kairi would be sweet. Yes, I understand that the game's about Sora, Donald and Goofy, but, it would be nice to see something else. Like in KH2 and Roxas. It was different, and we got to see something other than Sora kicking Heartless butt.
 
i know its an old thread but i do hope we do get to see the story from kiaris point of view since she can use the keyblade the ability to make her a usable character is amazing so they should do it

also the CGI graphics may happen since they did it for XIII in a way, if we had KH3 with XIII graphics i would be soooooooooooooooooooooooo amazed and how awsome will the heartless and nobodies look it would be awsome
 
It would almost feel strange to have a Kingdom Hearts game with enhanced graphics considering all the recent ones are either the same or a downgraded version of the original. If they keep it like KH2 then I'm fine with that as long as the cutscenes are more detailed instead of a moving mouthpiece. Would I like CG? Hell yes but if they don't then I can deal with it. I'm just hoping I can play as Riku in the next one or at least have Sora fight Riku one last time.

Just bear in mind that short one-liner posts in threads that are post count enabled such as this one are generally considered spam, so we tend to ask members to elaborate a bit more on their posts and follow what the thread topic is pertaining to. At the moment the existence of KHIII is not even certain yet, so for the time being we can only speculate. =]

First of all, I have to say that I hope it is multi platform because I have an Xbox 360 and can't afford a PS3 (might change in the future) I am 100% positive there will be achievements/trophies because that's standard today in gaming (like it or not). I'm hoping they continue something with the Drive mode from KH II but bring back magic more similar to the first. I think they're gonna change the battle system to something newer, possibly similar to FF Versus XIII if it's a success. I'd like to see some better summons and limits. maybe something more final fantasy-like(bahamut and those kinds of summons and limits like from FF 7 or 8)
 
actually nomura has stated that the fighting style in KH 3D will be the fighting style of KH 3 and in the trailer of 3D it seems to be a great way to fight since all the moves look really awsome
also they might make it multi platformed as they have made a deal with microsoft hence the reason why FFXIII came out on Xbox as well as PS3 though I don't know about the Wii though their have been suspitions that it will be on that as well

personally i'm fine with old graphics as well but i do hop for the in game CG graphics

their will most likely be a battle between riku and sora in their exam and riku as usual might be tempted by darkness and they will end up clashing again but either way there will be a clash between sora and riku as its been included in every game that focuses on sora or a clash with sora if you are playing from riku's perspective

(BTW saw a new trailer of kh for the 3ds too bad but it looks kinda cool and riku is playable)

Aw man, I'd hoped Xahanort wasn't gonna be on there...ugh...he's creepy. And Riku's playable again? Oooh, I can't wait! I hope he's more easy to play than when he was on COM. Sora and Riku should've been labled as Keyblade Masters anyway. They're badass! Exucse my cursing.
 
What about new characters? Do you guys think there will be some new characters from both Disney and Final Fantasy appearing in Kingdom Hearts 3?
 
I haven't heard anything about new characters being in the 3rd KH. There hasn't really been that much importation about the actual story. We're just getting bits and pieces and rumors. Even still, I do hope they'll keep Sora and Riku and place in some newer characters that don't look like each other. I think Square Enix is starting to lack in character design.
 
New characters would be interesting, but so far I can only think of characters from the Disney side. I'm not sure what original characters can be made for KH3 that we haven't already seen :hmmm:

I mean, what characters need to be in place for KH3? There's the characters that need saving, the character that will do the saving, characters that will guide and support the ones doing the saving, and the characters to defeat.

Who's left? :gasp:

(although if new, original characters did manage to get shoved in, that would be awesome :awesome: )
 
I don't wanna down Square Enix but I don't think they can come up with anymore original looking characters without them all looking strikingly familiar with just a few adjustments and different names.(But it would be nice if they could make a character that looks like Ciel or Greil)
It's not like I don't LIKE the characters because I do. They each have their own personalities and different stories. But some of them look the same just as I said before, just with slight features and names. But if they will keep some Disney characters in then keeping Donald and Goofy would be nice. Maybe in the 3rd KH they'll be more helpful for the player instead of just being there to give the player different forms and magic.
