Both have amazing qualities, which make them better than the other, the most obvious of which are the differences in the role of the plot in the game. The first, while it obviously introduces the story of Kingdom Hearts, doesn't gete too involved in developing a plot (though the character development was immense). We were much more focused on battles, puzzles, travelling ... even Item Synthesis was a sub-quest on its own. Kingdom Hearts II, on the other hand, was much more plot-orientated and such aspects as I previously mentioned were given priority #2. The second seemed to be more of an interactive film, really, where battling was just there for the sake of making it a game.
Both games still take 100% from me, though.
