Knights of the Old Republic

YES! A Star Wars RP... Me and Kit were talking about this! ^^ I, for one, would love a star wars RP... How about this, though... Only members of this club can be Sith/Jedi, according to their role in the club. Other people who join the RP can be bounty hunters/guards/soldiers or what have you... And if one of them joins the club, there will be an initiation ceremony to make thenm a Jedi/Sith in the RP. Good idea or no?

Count Dooku was officially considered a Dark Jedi upon leaving the Jedi Order, before being recruited by Sidious - at which point was made a full Sith Lord. Though technically, he could be considered a Dark Jedi before leaving, as he often researched into the ways of the Dark Side... this is how he was able to utilize Force Lightning so quickly after fully embracing the Dark Side.






Unrelatedly, I'll be happy to take on an apprentice. Though I'd rather that candidates fight it out as a sort of initiation. :monster: RP battle perhaps? I think we should all create characters for our roles.

This is similar to what i was saying i was saying that they are different because Dark Jedis are practioners as Sith are a cult or hertige (from wookieepedia). We were talking about the actual Sith species as well and how it had anything to do with the Sith and i said that "Sith" was meaning "Dark" and that it didnt really have anything to do with them other then that.

The RP sounds pretty cool. Perhaps they can choose a character from star wars to base theres on. So they will eventually become that character perhaps. The apprentice thing is kinda wierd actually.. You guys decide.

Ya me and WolfBlack were talking about this actually and i was giong to make one but i was thinking of a way to start it. I was going to choose a planet that every character had equal abilities on (ie. Kit Fisto underwater) I was kinda leaning towards Kashyyyk at first but wasnt too sure. Anyways i about that inintation ceremony? what exactly were you thinking?

Create RP characters. What a royal pain in the ass. But I was thinking of creating one sometime anyway.

Nihilus, from reading the link,in wookipedia, the main difference has to do with generations. The Sith Lord were decendents of Dark Jedi from generations back. While, Dark Jedi were recently fallen Jedi, like Darth Vadar. I believe that is what I got from the link. I probably should post it.
 
I was speaking in reference to how it is used in modern-day SW (within their world); not 'what it meant'. My post somewhat explains the relationship between Sith and Dark Jedi, however subtle. ;p
 
I don't really know how initiation ceremonies should be done... But I suppose a Jedi initiation would be like a knighting. Like when one becomes a Jedi master, but with only the intended teacher doing the knighting, as a symbol that the teacher is meant to guide them along the light path of the force. Though of course, the person in question would have to study and do tasks of trust (a la' Knights of the Old Republic, first game). As for Sith, I suppose it would be something more barbaric, still with tasks of trust beforehand to insure they are not really allied with the Jedi... The initiation into the Sith itself would likely be a ceremonial slaughter of either a captured Jedi or captured Jedi sympathizer. Any thoughts...?
 
Yep, all the bios would have to be approved. That was what I meant about being a pain in the ass. I am not sure how much time I have for a bio. But I will try sometime. Actually, I need to do is read up on Master Yoda.
 
By what you just said I presume the bios would be based a lot on the star wars characters? Or am I heavily mistaken?
 
I think my character might be a bit too strong for you all. :monster:
 
Probably, lol. Don't know what I would do, I generally think of characters on a 'level 1' ground rather than a 'level 100' ground. If that makes sense.
 
I don't think of characters as on any 'level' I think of each character I make as having vital strengths and weaknesses, as I believe all characters should. Personally, though... I prefer a Star Wars RP to use entirely custom characters.

Yeah, I just have a large lack of abilities, crap battle tactics, and more weak than a newborn child XD
 
I was thinking each of us could choose a character from star wars and just use that. Unless they really wanted to make there own. But using a character already from stars wars (ie me being Kit Fisto and Koloth be Yoda and such) would be the best.

Blarg. So I was busy today and didn't have a chance to work on the sig. I'll try to get it done this weekend though.

So we're on the topic of a Star Wars RP? Hrmm...I'd be Boba Fett...but I don't really get into RPing that much.

Yeah, one problem though Kit, would the charactersbe based on the movies? Or would the comics be included too? If comics are included... I will have trouble. I don't mind using an actual star wars character though, saves me time :D

<--has never read a star wars comic.
 
It wouldnt be a big deal if you havent read a comic cause you can always check someones character on Wookieepedia :monster: just search the name of there character and it says everything you need to know about them. And FYI Kit Fisto is in 2 of the movies :P

That looks so sweet what your getting VR!! You lucky hah i wish i had money cause id be getting a Kit Fisto action figure pronto.
 
Great holiday Im going to have...I have to catch up on ALL coursework and revise for the mocks.
 
THAT SUX! hah... Ya im basically staying home all of the holidays with my family doing nothing. I get to open all my presents on Christmas Eve at like 10:30 cause my mom wont be home on chirstmas morning :(
