Lady GaGa

Im amazed i havent posted in here yet. Ive wellll gotten into her recently. Bad Romance is like, so addictive. I love Paparazzi as well, I blame that one for makign me come round to her actually hahaha. Lovvve Speechless

Can't say I thought much of her performance at the Brits last night mind, it seemed abit....dull. Also, if she had won one more award and I had to listen to that little mouse voice and her almost cryiong Id of dived downn the tv and thumped her one :rage:

Well deserved awards though, I may add :hmmm:

Yeah, but the Brit Awards are pretty crap, and they just give awards to whoever has sold the most records.

I don't think much of Lady Gaga's music, but she is very good at playing the publicity game.

I think you'll find you're wrong there. It's a public vote and several different things, such as Radio One and GMTV, enable the public to send their vote through them.

Actually only one of her awards (International Breakthrough, voted for by MTV viewers) was a public vote. And the public vote ones just serve as a reminder of what terrible music taste the general public have (GMTV viewers picked The Spice Girls as the best Brit moment of the last 30 years - ha!).

That may be your opinion, but the public spoke out when they had the chance. She's made her mark in the music world and she's really like marmite. You either love her or hate her. Simple as, really.
 
I never said she hadn't been noticed, I said I thought she was musically poor. The public have spoken? Well I disagree with the public. Just because lots of people like her it doesn't make her good. And you said all her awards were public votes, which was incorrect.
 
Which is why I merely said it was your opinion. It's always going to be the same for whatever artist emerges in the music world.
 
We think she's terrible on all accounts. She's original, we'll give her that. However, she's just so bad at everything it's terrible. She can't sing, she can't write, and she sure as hell can't dress.

Her lyrics are some of the most awful things we've ever heard.

The awards she's won just proves how brainwashed people are. :mokken:

I like the song 'The Fame'... but that's where it ends for me. She is original in dress sense and some of her songs but she's nothing special IMO.

I don't think she has that much talent musically but she has done well in hooking the masses.

The true test is time. I think she will fail it and people will just find someone else to be 'fans' of.
 
I personally bloody hate her. Yeah some of her music is catchy, but I cant stand her!! She wears the most stupidest outfits and thinks shes is just amazing. I dont see the big hype about her, so overrated. And my ex fancies her ... what the f**k!? Shes a big freak show.
 
I used to really hate Lady GaGa just because she was just a complete freak of nature but then I listened to her music and I really really like it now. ;]
 
She was Cringeworthy at the Brit Awards, Everytime she won an award it was " OMG I love all my fans I love you all " And we won't even talk about what she was wearing, using a " I Dress like i am blind " Gimmick to sell, And that Performance was just wierd, Stnading there pressing a button, WOW! interesting
 
I actually don't really know who Lady Gaga is or what she's about. I've heard a little bit of her music and that's about it. I've not really bothered to find out what she's about or anything. The media hype on her is as bad the the over hype of the Twilight series, annoying and bad. Her music doesn't sound too original to me, I listen to a lot of different music from all time periods and I'm kind of a music critic and Lady Gaga to me just sounds like a badly butchered version of some of the females artists of the 80's and early 90's before britney spears or any of that shit. Some of them had that dance-techno-pop sort of sound but it kinda worked for them back in those days. Lady Gaga is just strange to me. Then again I don't really care as much for mainstream music anyway.
 
i think lady gaga is freaky, weird, strange but i actually like her. she just wear and do like the strangest thing i've seen

i always look forward to seeing one of her music video becasue most of the time, its something new and strange and just out of this world looking. her music is also pretty good to
 
I'm another one who can't stand her. I don't think there's anything special or new or creative about her. Dance music has been around for years and I don't see this as anything new or out of the ordinary. She'll have her moment in the sun for a while and then everyone will completely forget about her.
 
I have liked Lady GaGa ever since she began. I like all her music and the meanings behind them, she is individual and her outfits reflect her personality. She never fails to impress and is an amazing performer, what have looks got to do with anything? Her voice is amazing. The rumors about her being a hermaphrodite were just a gimmick she played, and anyone with a sense of humor would laugh at that. Lady GaGa is new, fresh and unique. Unlike all the new singers that come out and are wannabes. Music is dying and Lady GaGa has brought pop music and it's culture to a whole new level. I am glad she won all her BRIT nominations, she deserved them. An amazing contribution to music and the fashion world and her performance dedicated to Alexander McQueen was mind-blowing. The albums are art, and so is she. Her music is magnificent, whether people like her or not, Lady GaGa is without a doubt the queen of pop.
 
Music can not die, it's all a matter off Opinion really, When a certain type of genre of music is doing well ( Mainly Grime - Dizzie, Tinchy, Chipmunk Nowadays ) people tend to go against it because it isn't what they like not because it is awful, Can't really change people's tastes, If Gaga has got herself a massive fanclub she ain't going to go easily and no matter what she releases it will get to #1,
 
Like I said, GaGa is marmite. You either love or hate her.

I've no doubt in my mind she'll stick around for a goddamn long time. She's built herself a massive fanbase, won all those BRIT awards last week and now she's on tour. I'm quite jealous since I was trying to get tickets a long while back and my flatmate went to see her last Thursday. I should ask her how it was.
