Last Full Metal Alchemist Episode make you cry?

Why would somebody cry over something as trivial as that...o_O
The episode that first really got me in this series was episode 7 Night of the Chimera's Cry.

The episode that first really got me in this series was episode 7 Night of the Chimera's Cry.

That episode is very sad and really dislike watching it now. Though in general all FMA episodes end in sadness or bittersweet. The ending in particular was kind of irritating and if you have seen the movie, you might feel even more irritated.

Yep >.< that episode made me cry and anime doesn't make me cry. This is the only anime that ever has. I own the whole series and the movie and like I said in a previous post, I HATED the way they ended it...so...Also, not every single episode ended sad or bittersweet. Some ended on huge cliffhangers and left you in suspense
read the manga instead... xD

Manga is better. You should have put that in like size 6 and bold. Things are better explained and the characters seem more useful to the big picture. I have to say I was totally disappointed by a lacking Roy Mustang in the anime.

Yeah, but the thing is, Arakawa-sensei wanted the anime to go in a different direction because she didn't want her story spoiled. Yes, I agree whole-heartedly. While I did love the anime, the manga story is sooooooo much better. The newest chapter should be coming out this Sunday and the scanlations up on onemanga.com. I'm up to date with the manga right now and the story is just getting better and better and more intense, especially with the brothers and their "mind connection"

I use the same site, it's my third bookmark.

And I didn't know that bit of information about the story direction. I love in the manga that abilities are more deeply explored. Because that's the kind of story FMA is, I think anime deserved a bit more exploration.

While I liked the strategic mind coming in to heavy play against Greed, it seems after that shit it the fan in terms of Ed's intellect greatly part of his battles. Mostly due to because the anime doesn't really cover him "evolving" his abilities, rather they are just acquired when the opportunity presents itself.

The manga story is a completely different direction than what the anime is. I implore you to read it. For example, I'm assuming you've seen the whole anime now
in the anime, Edward is the one to kill Greed, but in the manga he does not. Also the homunculi are created in a completely different way than what they are in the anime. In the anime homunculi are a result of a human transmutation, however in the manga they are not.
The storyline is taken in such a seperate degree it's hard not to get hooked. You should read and catch up on the manga. It's currently at 77 chapters, the newest one due this Sunday. You'd be amazed at the significant differences.

>_<

I put the manga on hiatus because I was in a phase where I wasn't enjoying anime/manga in general. I'm way behind, due to I didn't give any thought as to what I was reading when I took a break. Though I'll catch up so I can give a better opinion and actually have a better discussion so I don't feel so out the loop.

Really, the only similarities are the beginning volumes like 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 but still there are MAJOR differences in them like the Lab 5 incident, the trip to Rush Valley and Winry plays a much more larger part in the manga than in the anime, not to mention her and Edward's relationship is what people had hoped for between them in the anime.
Another similarity is Hughes's death, but he's killed for an entirely different reason in the manga
So definitely, read! Catch up! Enjoy! ^^ Once you're caught up we can chat about in my Manga/Anime thread that's down a few threads in this section.
