Let's Play Final Fantasy 10!

Episode 15 - Growing Shrooms

https://youtu.be/Ogb2AOxL1lU

Welcome all to one of the more bland areas of the game: Mushroom Rock Road! There's not a tonne to talk about, other than that we are heading on over to try out operation mi'ihen, but to get there we have to spend the vid following said path.

While the area is bland as hell, the enemies are something to look out for! Garudas are back, so dark attack those. There are actually some namesake mushrooms here, who you'd better not physically attack! Their fire spells are nothing to be sniffed at either ha. The bombs are back too, with their 3 hits and self-destruct (lancet them if you haven't already!). Finally, the little raptor-type enemies can petrify with their physical attacks! Not good!

Thanks for watching! We'll check out operation mi'ihen next time...and it's a hell of a part of the game 0_0.

Episode 16 - The Greatest Mistake

https://youtu.be/pxX6bh2DUWs

Hey peoples, here comes operation mi'ihen. It's an incredibly powerful part of the game that I won't spoil at all. I'll just put the strategy here:

--------------------------------------------

Sinspawn Gui Strategy:

- Use piercing weapons and black magic to take down the arms (or an aeon's overdrive if possible).
- This will allow you to hit the main bodypart (the torso area). Go all out against this with your most powerful attackers and spells.
- If the head starts to "move suspiciously", cast some black magic on it right away! It's use venom otherwise...
- Haste is always incredible. As is healing when necessary.

--------------------------------------------

Sinspawn Gui 2 Strategy:

- Attack with Auron
- Heal with Yuna
- Powerful black magic on the main body with Seymour (use his overdrive if you can! It's the only chance you'll have to seeing it ;)).

--------------------------------------------

Thanks so much for watching :). I'll see you next time for our journey to Djose Temple (one of my favourite temples in the game).

P.S.
I got some info from a certain viewer (thank you!) that there was interlacing going on. I noticed that Vegas was set to 1080i and that was ruining things a little bit (not that I noticed...but I can't even see the 60Hz on Youtube). I've changed it to render in 720p now. Give me a shout if this is better or worse...I'm not sure which of the two to stick with :).

Episode 17 - Petrification Nation

https://youtu.be/tfW80PDFDBY

Hello there peoples! Today we're gonna take on the Djose Highroad and make it to Djose Temple! Along the way, there are enemies that petrify and they have so much health too! Something to worry about ever so slightly. Better get those softs, esuna spells and petrify ward skills at the ready :monocle:.

Thanks for watching! We'll check out the temple next time! Actually...it'll be a pretty long episode next due to me wanting to keep playing and playing :/.

Episode 18 - Electrical Flow

https://youtu.be/FoViA4o3pa8

Welcome one and all to the Djose Temple! This is the temple with my favourite aesthetics, due to the lightning positively buzzing and shooting :D. The cloister of trials can be a bit tricky, but it's not so bad really. We even get the secret item! That's going well so far ;).

To make this episode long as hell, we also make a start on the Moonflow! While most of it is just countryside (which is a nice change from the bland rocks of mushroom rock road etc), it sure looks perdy! There's even a stunning river that we need to cross and it looks like the shupuff is our ticket over there! I love the fantastical image of the shupuff...along with its master who we'll be meeting next time ;).

Thanks for watching! We'll be crossing the Moonflow next time and nabbing our final party member! See you there! :)

P.S.
It sounds like summoners are being kidnapped all over the place. Good job we have so many guardians with us, huh? :s

Episode 19 - Protect Ze Shoopuf!

https://youtu.be/TuuZZeVeXEQ

In the words of HCBailly: New party members! Our final party member has finally arrived on the Moonflow! She's one of my favourites in the game too! Shame about Wakka's racism...

Of course she's not completely innocent.

---------------------------------------------

Extractor Strategy:

- Thunder elemental reels are amazing here, if you manage to get Wakka's overdrive bar full.
- Haste on both.
- Attack attack attack!
- Potions whenever you need them ;)

---------------------------------------------

Along with all that, we make it to the home of the guado: Guadosalam. A nice enough place but maybe a bit bland for my liking. It turns out that Yuna has a surprise from Seymour though that will mix things up for our summoner...

Thanks for watching! We'll check out the Farplanes next time...and the land of the dead is pretty bloody stunning ;).

P.S.
I love that cutscene showing Zanarkand in the mansion. Ever so Cosmo Canyonish ha!

P.P.S. Apologies for the sound quality for my comms in this ep. The reason this ep took so long to be made is due to me trying for days to get that working properly but I couldn't. It'll be fine in the next ep :).

Episode 20 - I See Dead People

https://youtu.be/VyXPoA4n6ao

~Taking the plane,
To the Farplane,
It's a wee bit plain,
Compared to the Thunder Plains~

See? We can all do a Selphie if we really try ;).

Anyways, this episode has us enter the Farplane to see Yuna's dead parents (all to do with the marriage etc etc). That place is stunning :s.

We also find out that Seymour has headed to Macalania Temple to receive our answer (awkward twat), but that's our next destination on the pilgrimage anyway, so it's no big deal.

To get there, we need to first cross the Thunder Plains, which we'll make a proper start on next time. See you there! We'll see some great humour from Rikku too... ;)

Episode 21 - The Great Leg Hump

https://youtu.be/0avAtt5mctk

Hey there folks, welcome to the Thunder Plains! This is one of my favourite areas in the game, with the humour, the continuous minigame, Rikku.

There's actually not a whole lot to be said about here, but those iron giants can be a pain...as can the cactuars :s. Just cross those fingers that the green gits don't run away!

Thanks for watching! We'll have a gander at the Macalania Woods next time :).

Episode 22 - Spherimorph's Macalania

https://youtu.be/GtLwe64uwu4

Hey there folks, welcome back! Macalania Woods are absolutely stunning and really remind me of Crystaria from FF9 :D. In terms of what you can do here, there's the chimera enemy who loves to be bloody complicated if you don't petrify it :s. He can teach you aqua breath though and gives loads of AP, so it's worth it! There's also the butterfly minigame which can net you an MP sphere!

After we take care of the area, Auron has this clever idea to go and check out a Jecht Sphere that's protected by...

--------------------------------------

Spherimorph Strategy:

- Attack it physically (just once per element change!)
- Based on the element it counter attacks with, use the opposing elemental spell (if it uses blizzard, use fira etc).
- Once you do this, it'll change elements and you need to repeat the process until it dies.
- Don't worry about its spread out "physical attack". It's a gravity based move on everyone, so it does huge damage, but it can't kill you. Its other moves can finish you off though...

--------------------------------------

With that tricky little blighter down, we grab our first new overdrive for Auron (it can one hit KO or do huge damage against one enemy!).
If you want to return to the entrance of the woods and go right at the junction, there's another sphere, but it won't be enough to earn you another overdrive yet ;).

Thanks for watching! Next time around we'll be taking on Lake Macalania! That place really disappointed me after the stunning Lake Hylia of Ocarina Of Time, but it's still pretty nice in an icy sort of way :). Bye for now!

P.S.
Change of LP format coming! A new LP (well, a returning one) will be starting tomorrow, so we need to mix things up a bit. FFX and the new LP will be bi-daily. FFX one day, then the new LP, then FFX again etc. This format may change slightly if I have an episode of one or the other in the backlog and really don't have time/am too exhausted to record more of a series.

Either way, this won't prolong FFX, it will just fill in the gap days that we've been having :).

See you soon! :monocle:

Episode 23 - Negated At The Lake

https://youtu.be/Q_a28iDS7T8

Ok ok, so it's another kidnapping attempt by the al bhed! I'm pretty sure it's the last one though, if that's helps? I mean, you could consider there to be one more maybe, but I don't think so.

ANYWAY, WELCOME!

---------------------------------------------

Crawler and Negator Strategy:

- A quick overdrive or two on the negator is your best bet for a good start. This will allow you to use your magic again.
- Speaking of, Thundara works wonders against the Crawler (machines, machines...).
- When the mana beam starts to reach 0, chuck out an aeon to take the blow. I recommend the thunderous Ixion ;). Use his overdrive and you'll be incredibly close to the end of the battle.
- If the negator returns, remember to use overdrives and Wakka's physical attack.

---------------------------------------------

There are plenty more cinematics as Yuna heads off to give Seymour the answer to his proposal too, but that's about it for this ep really!

Thanks so much for watching! We'll be going for Macalania temple next time, which is by far the most challenging so far :s. See you around! :)

Episode 24 - Stone Cold Murder

https://youtu.be/U3GKakifkOk

Hey peoples, welcome to Macalania Temple! The cloister of trials is tough in this one (by far the toughest to date), but we can do it! Can you guess what the new aeon is?

There's more to this temple though...much more...

------------------------------------------------

Seymour Strategy:

- Just kill off the guado guards any way you like. You may want to steal from them first to remove their auto-potion ability.
- Any old powerful moves on Seymour afterwards.

------------------------------------------------

Anima Strategy:

- Chuck out your new aeon!
- Heal by using Blizzara on your own aeon.
- Use overdrives whenever possible

------------------------------------------------

Seymour (2) Strategy:

- All your powerful moves! He casts highly damaging spells really quickly in this form, so you don't want to hang around.
- Maybe aeons could be a good idea?

------------------------------------------------

Ending with a murder, we have to escape! We're now on the run from the religious ones! More on that next time. Thanks for watching! ;)

Episode 25 - Under Da Sea

https://youtu.be/t6R9iMvrF9E

Sin is back!

We need to escape from Macalania Temple and the guado after the whole murder incident! Of course, with Sin hanging around too, it's all a wee bit hectic!

----------------------------------------------

Wendigo Strategy:

- Take down the guado first!
- Fira is the wendigo's weakness!
- Sleep attack is a good mix with fira too, since magic doesn't wake up enemies (or party members).

----------------------------------------------

With a lot of this part being all cinematic, I'll leave you to check it out. We'll just say that we may have lost our summoner...

Thanks for watching folks! See you next time where we check out Bikanel Desert and try and sort this whole problem out :s.

P.S.
Macalania is all done! That took a wee while ha! :)

Episode 26 - Rockin' Up A Sandstorm!

https://youtu.be/IcXvV6nUrfg

Hey there folks, it's time to play through Bikanel Desert! This place has the toughest enemies to date, for sure, but there's a very great secret weapon that will help so much lmao. Remember that you don't have Yuna to heal now so there's a good chance you don't have a white mage (unless you made an extra). Sooooo, you need to make use of Rikku's al bhed potions; don't worry, there are millions hanging around ;). During our time at the desert, by the way, we find like a million primers and also nab a mercury crest, which will be sehr helpful later :).

Finally, we head into Home to see such a sad scene. I hope Yuna's not here...which we'll find out next time! Thanks so much for watching! See you later :).

P.S. This episode took over an hour to record and due to the length of the battles here, it got cut down to like half hour. A shocking amount of editing lmao ;).

Episode 27 - Home Sweet Home

https://youtu.be/dMJ-iIKBK5Y

Hey there folks, I have to be quick today so here's a wee summary.

We take on the al bhed home as it's under attack by the guado! There are tonnes of primers around, along with plenty of puzzle chests! If you've been collecting the primers, you should be good to go with these.

Thanks so much for watching! I'd love to add some more here but no time. I'll see you next time for a better summary lol :/.

Episode 28 - Evrae The Red Carpet

https://youtu.be/6upe6VyHe0g

Aboard the airship, a guardian of Bevelle comes a-flyin'!

Welcome folks to our attempt to find Yuna! We actually do, y'know, but there's some sort of shield stopping us from preventing the greatest wedding Spira has ever seen!

--------------------------------------------------

Evrae Strategy:

- Just stick with your strongest physical fighters.
- Don't bother too much with pulling out and pulling in. Waste of time, normally.
- Remember to use haste on your best fighters.
- Al bhed potions with Rikku are your friend. Especially when he uses poison breath!
- When he's far away, rely on Wakka and magic (though remember that magic is halved).

--------------------------------------------------

Otherwise, that wedding is pretty stunning! Especially with that climax! It looks like we've been caught though...

Thanks so much for watching! We'll have to try and escape next time, huh? ;)

Episode 29 - Machina Temple

https://youtu.be/kKqicEHcVjs

Hey all, it's finally time to take on Bevelle Temple! I've actually been dreading this place, since I always get lost and mixed up and screwed. Hopefully that doesn't happen this time? ;)

Along with the temple, we have a bit of trouble associated with the whole murder situation :s. Those darn maesters!

Thanks so much for watching and being patient for this episode to come along! See you next time when we check out Via Purifico! :)

Episode 30 - Prison Escape!

https://youtu.be/EV4YXNjIa-4

Hey all, just a brief summary today! This time around we check out our prison: Via Purifico! Yuna has trouble walking in a straight line (we'll not go into why...) and Tidus has trouble swimming faster than a guppy (even though he's a professional blitzball player). We take on a boss for each but they're both really simple and everything so just have a quick look if you really get stuck.

Thanks for watching! See you next time when we take on Seymour for round 2! Maybe we can send him this time? ;)

Episode 31 - Suteki Da Ne

https://youtu.be/diafiH7VxLg

Hey there folks, here comes a pretty packed episode! First up, we take on Seymour Natus and his little pal *clears throat*:

----------------------------------------

Seymour Natus and his little pal strategy:

- Haste is grand
- Dispel his protect if you have that yet
- Kill mortibody 2 or 3 times to make it absorb Seymour's HP a bit
- Use al bhed potions to remove petrify and to generally heal up
- Otherwise, it's a battle of the fittest. If his spells are dealing too much damage, just level a bit on the bridge; it's a great area for AP.

----------------------------------------

With that tough boss down, we head on back to Macalania Woods (it's right next door) and have the ever famous love scene between Tidus and Yuna. I hope that doesn't get blocked or anything...

Finally, we do a bit of Jecht sphere hunting for a new overdrive for Auron and we prepare Kimahri's celestial weapon for later; we can't actually open the chest yet lmao.

There we have it! Quite a bit wrapped into one little package :). Thanks so much for watching! Expect a longer episode next time for the Calm Lands. There's ever so much to do there and I can't see it being done quickly lmao. Byeeee :D.

Episode 32 - Keep Calm, Relax

https://youtu.be/yPzbUnRvMu0

Welcome to the Calm Lands, where there's so much to see and do! From the chocobo training, to the monster hunting, to the temple searching, to the secret aeon finding! There's so much more too, but I'll leave for you to take a gander. I will say that I haven't done everything here, but we'll return during some bonus episodes to wrap it up a bit ;).

Thanks so much for watching! The next episode was going to be a bonus one but we still have that boss of the Calm Lands to take care of so not this time. We'll leave all that for the almost end-game stuff :).

P.S.
This episode took so much effort and time to make lmao. I hope it turns out ok for you guys :).

P.P.S. I finally got a chance to make a montage in this series! I love making those so much ha :D.

Episode 33 - Bartering With A Samurai

https://youtu.be/ObOfYv7RfNA

Hey again peoples, let's try some optional stuff today, shall we? I mea, before that we take on Defender X.

------------------------------------

Defender X Strategy:

- Mental and Armour Breaks are pretty essential to lower his defences.
- Protect is a shout, if you want to reduce damage from his strong physical attacks.
- Haste is great too.
- Otherwise, just heal a tonne :).

------------------------------------

Then there's the cavern of the stolen fayth, which is simple enough until you reach the minigame at the end in order to actually gain Yojimbo as your new aeon. I played through this the expensive way, but you may want to try one of the other two answers and experiment with different prices.

Thanks for watching! We'll head on over to Mt Gagazet next time and whoop some ronso butt! ;)

P.S. That tonberry though. Rare is one word for them :/.

Episode 34 - Ronso Reunion

https://youtu.be/XXtOqs6Ykz8

Hey there folks, welcome to Mt Gagazet! Appreciate that welcome, 'cause you ain't getting it from the ronsos...

------------------------------------

Biran and Yenke Strategy:

- Lancet them both straight away for any missed blue magic
- Caste haste if you have it for obvious reasons
- Only attack them physically when they are separated (via their bull dozer move). Wait for them to use it if they are together.
- Once they use mighty guard or white wind, use lancet again on the caster for that blue magic spell. You can get these from monsters later too though if you happen to miss it...

------------------------------------

Other than that, we have the long slog of the mountain to contend with. It's not peaceful...it sure ain't pretty...but damn it, we can make it if we try! ;)

It's so sad seeing the graves of fallen summoners along the way. Where were the guardians??? :(

Thanks for watching! We'll be going for possibly the toughest boss in the game next time and geez is it gonna take some luck lmao! I'll be leveling a bit off camera but I'm not sure it'll still be enough...see you there! :)
