Hey all, here's the opening to my new let's play! It's actually the anime opening, but it's all to build atmosphere! ;)



This is the game that came before my favourite ever anime and manga, but is actually the remaster that was released on Steam a couple of weeks back. It'll be released in chapters, so this is an ongoing series. I should probably mention that it is a visual novel, so something that won't require very much actual gaming, but I've been so excited to check out the roots of the series that I really really have to check it out! Also: a new genre for me. Fingers crossed! :)

This series is going to be completely blind, but at the same time I know the universe, characters and plot already, so unless there are huge changes (I've heard there aren't!), I can hopefully give you some comparisons and stuff throughout :).

I know, I know, the opening isn't the best quality, but it's the best I could get hold of right now. It may not be up for too long anyways for...certain reasons :s.

This game was in no way made by me. All that is mine is the commentary and a bit of playing. It was actually made by 007th Expansion , Mangagamer and (the creator of this great story) Ryukishi07.

Hey all, here's the start to Higurashi! Today, we meet the main cast (although there are plenty more characters to come), get to see the general area and have a look at the school.

Thanks for watching! I'm not too sure what will happen next, but maybe the plot will thicken soon 0_0. I'm actually kinda loving this game so far. It's sticking true to the anime and manga, while feeling fresh enough to read through again.

P.S. Watching out for Satoko, Keiichi...you know what she's like with those deadly traps :s.

P.P.S. BGM is a little quiet. I'll turn it up a notch next time.

Hello there! This time around, da crew have a day off from school to show Keiichi around Hinamizawa! There's a picnic and everything, but there's naturally way too much to eat...

This is such a nice part that really shows how well they all get along, as well as how the village is so close-knit as a whole; everyone seems to know everyone ;).

Hello peoples, here's the rest of the chapter! This time around, we let our dad have his fun finding creativity around the house while we head on over to the skip to help Rena out. Colonel Sanders must be saved, or we'll never have a KFC again! :eek:

What's that in the newspaper too...it looks like the murder was real :s. I think it's about time for things to start getting real!

We also check out the new TIPS: a wee bit more info on the dam war and another "special tabloid report" 0_0.

Episode 11 - The Cotton Drifting Festival

Hey folks, this time around we have the ever loved cotton drifting festival! It's so nice to see Rena and Keiichi get to close (in a genuine way rather than their jokey, teasing way), as well as seeing the whole group taking each other on in competitions and stuff, with the adults all being genuinely interested ha. Even Tomitake joins in!

The cotton drifting itself is where this part shines though. It's so nice; from the music, to the picture, to the interaction between Rena and Keiichi. It all works so well :).

Episode 12 - Five Nights At Hinamizawa

Hey folks, here's the rest of the cotton-drifting festival! This time around, we get to meet a new character: Miyo (or Takano). She's the local nurse who has such a twisted sense of humour lmao. One of my favourite characters in the series (we'll get to know her more in other arcs...this is just a fleeting visit).

Oh oh oh! We also learn of the 5 year murder thing, where someone dies every year on the day of the cotton drifting festival! This is what is going to lead Keiichi into him amazingly terrifying scenes pretty soon, so get ready for that! I'm so excited for how the game deals with the darker section of the arc...I may just wazz myself.

Hey all, here's the whole of the next chapter, 'cause there wasn't a midway point :s. It seems like it'll just be a good old club activity day with the mates (deduction is the name folks!), but a new character comes along and ruins all that. It seems that there has been something fishy going on!

Why hello there! This time around, while Keiichi is asleep (almost!) we discover that the gang knows all about the murders and everything, so why are they hiding it all from us? 0_0

Also, Rena seems to have another personality and that allows us to see something that this series is pretty famous for: the "other" faces. You won't believe how the series starts to switch it up now...it ain't all flowers and rainbows! ;)
