Okay, so I've beaten the game, but I abuse three of my party members. My main characters/the characters I've used the most are Vaan, Basch, and Balthier. My problem is the leveling of the other three. My main party (Vaan, Basch, and Balthier) are levels 59, 57, and 57, but the other three (Ashe, Fran, and Penelo) are levels 25, 23, and 23. I'm afraid to try to level them somewhere, because of the fear of a quick death. I haven't defeated Zeromus yet, which means the Dark Bones trick is out of the question. And I can't afford to buy good equipment for them. I'm in a pickle here. Any good tips?

i've got 2 ways:
1st way requirements: alot of phoeinix downs, all gambits off:
go to the dalmasca westerlands. get one of your characters down to under 10% health. then turn battle speed to the very slowest. Enter the corridor of sands. the dustia will appear. throw a phoeinix down at it and run away immediatly. Do not grab the thing it drops, unless u want to go back to rabanastre. then go back again and do the same thing over and over again.

however, you might be asking: how do i get so much gil? Well, solution 2 does it.

Go to the "Sunlit Path", entrance of the golmore jungle. Save. then go in to the golmore jungle. There will be alot of panthers lurking around. kill them all. they usually drop coeurl pelts, which are worth 400+ gil. when u kill them, exit and save. now go out the other exit and go back to the sunlit path. Go back to the jungle and kill some panthers, go back and save, and go to the other place. Repeat until you've got like 99 pelts. go back to rabanastre and do solution 1.

try taking them round the stillshrine of miriam and chain some undead dudes, get em all eqipped with embroidered tippets, you should get loaads of loot to sell aswel so you can make the monies too. levels they are at you can train pretty much wherever

Go back to an earlier area of the game, if you're worried about equipment, the LP you earn with your main party will also be added to the people in reserve's total, so you should be able to get the liscenses for the equipment you're already using.

Then just use ONE character, seeing as it'll be an earlier place in the game, you wouldn't have to worry about getting owned. Plus, just using one character will triple to EXP earned, as it won't have to be devided between the three. Then just go for it.

Or, just take one of your higher level people out of your party, for a lower level person, and give them the equipment from the character you've taken out. Then just fight where ever you are, then switch them whenever you feel they are a high enough level.

There's another method to consider here: the Negalmuur trick. You'll have to look it up, because the gambit setup is somewhat complicated and I don't remember it offhand...but I'm pretty certain that it works regardless of your levels. The upswing is that you don't have to sit and monitor things, but it does take time.

Otherwise, your best bet is to either go back to an earlier area or level them all at once, or swap in your low-level characters one at a time and proceed as usual.

:O So even if you've beaten the Stillshrine of Miriam level, you could still go back and do the Negalmuur trick? :holyshit:

yeah the neglumar trick can be a bit of a pain though.. i mean it takes mostly luck to get him to spawn.... if you have enough patience go to the necrol of nabudis and wail on the starting monsters... i'd take a lot of pheonix downs considering your lvl... but yeah pretty much what DeFlux said. the upside of the neglumar trick is that you can leave it on over night

For future reference, give your out of battle party members Golden Amulets to up their LP two-fold...

For leveling, I had the same issue, only I was a little better off, my non-characters were all lvl 35... What I did was utilized Bubble Belts and sent my characters off on RM(Rare Monster) runs, finding, stealing from, and then possibly killing the RMs depending on how good of a steal it was... Skeletons usually drop some pretty expensive loot(such as bones and other good stuff)... If you're worried about quick deaths the bubble belts should up your chances of survival and it always helps to have a good gambit system going, one that always has someone attacking... other than that I don't have much advice...
