That is probably the worst part about this game. In FFX you could swap members in and out, and anyone who participated in the battle, whether they were in it when it ended or not, got the exp and sphere points from the battle.

everyone gets license points but only the 3 characters in a battle get the Exp. i have everyone at lv 30 and Vaan at level 37, im trying to keep my whole party near the same level so i can have 2 party's when needed specially those hard boss battles.:cool:
 
If you read my post that is exactly what I was saying. All participants should get the exp just like FFX and I think it is really the only problem I have with the game so far.
