The youngest mother in the world is a Lina Medina who was born in Peru in 1933.

She gave birth to her baby boy in 1939 at 5 years of age.

She had her first menstrual period at the age of 8 months (or 2 and a half years according to another article). She had prominent breast development by the age of 4. By age 5 her figure displayed pelvic widening and advanced bone maturation.

She never revealed the father of her child but 'her father' was suspected of raping her.

I can't believe a child as young as 5 would be able to carry a baby to full term. She is a baby herself.

Just thought that this was a really interesting and also really disturbing find and thought I'd share it with you.

WHAT?! that is madness!!! That poor girl, she mustve been sexually assulted no 5 year old goes out and does that especially in that day and age. Shes lucky to even be alive, i didnt even know it was possible for a child of that age to get pregnant. Imagine being only 5 years younger than your ma? You would be at school together and everything, itd be like they were sisters, not mother and daughter. Poor girl
 
Yeah, that is quite disturbing. Imagine saying to your friends, "Oh, no, she's not my sister, she's my mom." People would call you insane.

The sad thing about this is, a lot of girls are starting to get their first periods as young as nine, on average. I actually know someone who got hers at nine. It's not right, having something like this happen to a very young child.
 
I can't believe her body would be able to take it at such a small frame and frail age. Aside from her father being f'ed up for raping her, it's still hard to imagine a 5 year old, hell anyone under 12 having a baby. Wow.
 
Her father actually took her to the hospital out of town thinking that she had a tumor at first. However doctors confirmed that she was 7 1/2 months pregnant at the time.

She is 75 this year and her son would be 70. However he died at the age of 40 due to cancer.

There are so many other young girls I came across on the internet who had given birth around the age of 10. All of them had been raped and unlucky enough for them they had also started their menstrual period at a young age.

Well, I suppose us humans are still evolving after all. But the idea of a 5 year old girl giving birth is definitely very scary... And to think the youngest girl i heard about giving birth was around 9 or 10.

To hear of a 5 year old, now, thats something.
 
That is mental. i'm shocked her body could cope with the stresses of pregnancy and especially childbirth, I'm amazed she survived... it's also very sick and wrong that someone would have sex with her at that age, whether it's her father or not. Whoevr it was it's rather disgusting, I wonder if it was seen as tabboo for a girl (whatever her age) to start having sex once she has git pubery back then though.....eugh, it's not very nice to think about

I saw afew years ago on GMTV or someshit about some baby that had started her periods at like afew months old. It's crazy
 
That's crazy. I wonder how many problems the son had when he was born. He couldn't have been perfectly healthy at birth with his mom being so small and probably un-able to provide him with all the things his body needs to be 100% right at birth.
 
Whoa, didn't know such a thing is even possible. Something freakish must have really happened because a female's body is not ready for pregnancy at that age. Their eggs are not even prepared to be fertilized yet, so how in the world that had happened is just one of those mysteries in this world, I guess. And that would have been so hard for her and her son - they probably couldn't have a mother-son relationship but more like a sibling one.

Yeah, someone must have raped her, that's for sure. There's no way a child that age would engage herself in sexual activity. I just browsed through the article and I guess he was also arrested at one point, but released later due to lack of evidence. Also, her son apparently grew up thinking she was his sister. I can just imagine the shock he felt when he found out the truth later.
 
That is definitely fucked up. Child rape, unfortunately, isn't as rare as we'd all like to pretend it was... but this is definitely some odd shit. Her body being able to sustain another life at such a young age seems impossible. Her organs are still not even close to being fully matured and yet they're acting for two. I'm surprised she didn't die during the pregnancy, to be honest.
 
God, and I always thought that was quite improbable not so say impossible the least. Seeing that she gave birth being 5 years old proves that sometimes the unimaginable can become real. Because seriously she was just a kid! And I am hell damn for sure her daddy had something to do with it, it is something we see a lot more often nowadays. Child Rape, damn...people like those should be hanged and burnt in a stake.

And the article says she didn't die? How odd....any girl would not even survive it...the human species never ceases to amaze me...we can be really fucked up sometimes -__-
