What with all the status affects that can be inflitced on you here, did anyone else think this was the most annoying dungeon in the game?

If not what did you think was the most annoying dungeon?

Marsh Cave is starting to bother me, I didn't teach my White Mage Poisona so I've got to buy 30+ Antidotes for the trip to make sure my characters are healthy enough to take on Astos.

What fun.

I don't remember the marsh cave that much but i remember that i was in and out of it every two minutes for healing reasons. Took me ages to finish it.

The first time I played it took several trips to finish this cave.I was always getting poisoned and KO'd. Every subsequent time only took one trip. Well two if you count the Mystic Key treasures.

It was a hard dungeon, but it was one of the few ones where I enjoyed the challenge rather than getting annoyed and frustrated (which I usually do).

The last dungeon frustrated me less.

On my last play through I was able to complete it in one trip, mainly because I trained for the the Gil to buy Poisona.

without meaning to sound like an arsehole, i'm playing through the game for my 1st time and i can honestly say im finding it really easy.. Marsh cave wasn't bad for me.

The thing is annoying me is this:

far too many random battles
not many pheonix downs

ye don't ave fenix downs in the NES version :p either version I never had an issue with the marsh cave, astos was a joke of a boss, the bit I hate the most is the ice cave

Why do you need Phoenix Downs? :wacky:

Just use a chapel, seeing as they're free and shit.

First of all... What the heck is a chapel???

Second Marsh Cave is nothing compared to the Cavern of Ice... Fucking Wizards cast Poison on YOU!! 1 hit kill...

to a point i never ran into wizards, but the optional dunegons were hard plus going though it 4 times to defeat them all was whack :banghead: but you do get better weapons and armor by doing it

The Chapels are the church-like places where you can revive your KO'ed party members without aid of a Phoenix Down or Life magic.

I actually found the Ice Cave really easy. By that time I'm usually way over powerd by accident and just slash my way through. Marsh Cave however is longish, and has enemies who poison your characters, which is a bum that early in the game and run out of MP for Poisona and/or Antidotes.

Didn't have a problem. I had 99 Antidotes and Poisona lol. In the NES version, I can't remember. I was 4 when I played that game. I have a emulator, gotta start it again. Is it that much harder then the GBA version?

Yes. I find the NES version of the game more or less unplayable, especially after being so much used to the GBA version. Well not so much hard, but annoying and tedious, can never bring myself to get much futher than Garland haha.

*nope!actually the only problem in this dungeon at the point of the game was its distance from the town, you pack a lot of potions and antidotes to stay alive here.

*the most annoying dungeon for me was the snow cave, where monsters called "dark Wizard" can be encountered.these monsters cast a spell called "poison" which doesnt inflict the status poison but instanly kill a party member or worse the whole party! ;)
