Michael Jackson Dead

Great musician in the early 90's. He made a huge impact in the music industry as far as entertainment and stuff, but I don't care about what kind of person he was.

He doesn't know me. I don't know him. I don't feel sorrow for entertainers, but I do respect him as a person for his good music back in the day.

I'm sorry, but when a 13 year old boy could give detailed description of Jacko's penis, and the case was settled out of court for 22 million $, I can't help but think that something is a bit off. Add to that how he stated that he loved to "sleep" with young boys, and I think it's pretty certain to say that the man had an unnatural attitude towards children. Pedophile or not.
 
I know that fans were really looking forward to the tour, and Michael dissapointed them, but still he is the king of pop and he deserves some credit. He did some great things with his life, I loved thriller. I also got a joke:

...Um, he died? I doubt people are going "Oh snap, how dare you die on us Michael!" And being really disappointed -I think they are mourning the loss of a superstar, not a concert.

If you think he is the king of pop and deserves, I don't think you would have made a joke like that imho.

Well, he postponed the beginner of his tour due needing more time to get everything together, though there were rumours flying around that his health was a concern.

Get a grip? To the person who said that earlier - I'm sure everyone else pays their sodding respects to fallen soldiers - why imply that they don't? Why criticise them for saying a simple message of respect for a dead celebrity? If you've been a fan of someone since the day they started their work, what do you expect long time fans to do? You're missing the point. The first line "I'm all for respect for the dead."

It's the ones crying their eyes out and acting as if they are some huge fan, when they probably don't even own one of his records, or haven't even listenned to one for years. It's the people who act like they are effected by it when really, they aren't.

I seen one comment "It makes you realise life is short" that came from someone who lost a family member not so long ago. :|

It's great that people are out there playing his music and celebrating his accomplishments and paying their respects. There are just too many idiots taking it way too far.

The same happened with Jade Goody, I know people who always rambled on about how much they hated her, then she dies and they suddenly turn and act like they were her biggest fan.
 
I didn't like the man, but I liked his music and what he did for world music. That's what I'm going to remember him for, a legend of pop.

And about the jokes, people should just get over them. You can't stop them...
 
I'm impressed with how well his music's doing in the charts at the moment. He's dominating the top ten albums, and he's got loads of songs in the top 100, Man In The Mirror is number 3 on itunes!

I actually expected Billie Jean or Thriller to be doing better, but Man In The Mirror is a great song anyway.

It's sad he died, but I think the whole public outpouring of grief is a little...hysterical maybe? He was a brilliant musician, and it was an unexpected death, but the media explosion is a little scary. I've seen at least 10 MJ tribute programs today x_x
 
I think it's complete bullshit people judge him like that. Child molesting isn't a funny topic or anything to take lightly, but unless someone has proof, or knows for a 100% sure he did so, than you can talk. If you're just one of these believers, I don't think you have any right to talk shit about anyone.

I don't know MJ in person, obviously, but I'm not gonna judge him just because he is different with his looks, or what he does to his body, or am I gonna say that I know what he did if he DID anything at all to any kids. I'm not judging him.

I wish his family all the best of luck, and RIP MJ.

tbh i found the joke in bad taste as well, but people will always believe what they want to believe about him, personally I think innocent till proven guilty...If there was truth behind those rumors, the family would not have settled out of court, they would have wanted to take him to the cleaners, and the 2nd one was also proven to be crap (if they were so adamant where was the court appeal?) I will say the media are flogging it really heavily at the moment and I think in all honesty they should at least let the Jackson family rest and have a little bit of f**kin respect for a change, afterall...they have been a large factor in MJ's downfall, and theres no denying that!

Once again, as other people said, I don't really care about him or his music, but it is sad. Even if he was accused of being a child molester. Oh well. That sucks. The king of pop is dead. :sad:

The guy was tried on ten counts of child molestation and was found innocent on all accounts. Yes the guy was a bit odd but if you look at his interviews, I really don't see someone who wants to have sex with children. I think he was the result of basically going into fulltime work, in his case show business, from the age of 5. Most people wont start a part time job till they are 20. He had no childhood ostensibly, his Father was a tyrant so im not surprised his life was in a state of extended childhood.

The guy was a legend, his music was phenomenal and watching the guy dance was like watching quicksilver in motion. The music world is poorer for this loss.

RIP Michael Jackson.

When I got told the news on Friday morning at 6:30, I thought my mum and sister were pulling my leg! Seriously. But when I was watching GMTV and This Morning, they confirmed it and I just couldn't believe it! "Man In The Mirror" topped the UK Official Download Chart yesterday. 43 of his songs were in the Top 200! It's amazing with all the hype surrounding his death that it could go on for years at this rate.

His face is all over the papers. He has been since Friday, anyway. He's constantly on the news, this is going to be going on for a long time ... needless to say, I'm very saddened to hear that he's died because I grew up listening to his hits from the 90's and so on.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson.

Michael loved children like a father, when he lost their trust that was when he began taking other types of drugs in order to quench his pain.

When heard about the news was really shocked and saddened. Micheal Jackson was a great singer and a great legend. However he had power, and people wanted to abuse his power. Which lead him into a depressing state before his death. Don't believe that he was a child-abuser at all. No way, his Father treated him like crap so wanted to try and escape back into his childhood and have another chance at his childhood.

Think with the news out now how Micheal Jackson's dad doesn't really give two shits about his own son's death is enough is really enough proof that Micheal really wanted to escape from his bad childhood. He was a kind and gentle soul and don't think he would really harm a child when he had a crappy childhood himself, why make a second child's life miserable when you were miserable as a child ?. It just doesn't make any sense.

Don't know Micheal Jackson. No, that would be called being a stalker. But really feel this way towards him. Don't really like hearing jokes towards him either, never really liked the pedo jokes before that too. Listened to them, but never laughed.
