There's a huge divide between my friends over this man, half of them like him and the other half hate him.

Personally, I can't stand the man, his music annoys the hell out of me, and his voice goes eerily high pitched :|

What are your thoughts on Mika?
 
Dreadful. No talent, imo. Your typical indie singer. His "big girl you are beautiful" is just plain embarrassing, even if well intentioned. He doesn't sing with passion or anything.
 
i hate him, i think he needs to learn to sing, i know i cnt sing thats y i don't try he can't sing but still chooses to try its rediculose
 
My mum loves Mika, plays his CD all the time. I don't like him, but I don't strongly dislike him either, I just think that he is overplayed, along with every other new artist these days. I try not to listen to him if I can help it, his high-pitched voice is cringeworthy. ><

but yeah mika...... he either went through some bizarre form of reverse puberty where his voice went higher or he had his testicles removed in the name of 'art'. think Vangough after downing a gallon of absinth
 
How did Mika win the 'Best British breakthrough act' when Leona Lewis has had the fastest ever selling single and album of all time?...but then again half the people who won last night shouldn't have.

OverFjell has hit the nail on the head though...too many people have been brainwashed by mediocre novelty acts who have no talent and they are just one of them.

I like him *dodges objects* he has a unique and crazy voice. Plus his album is good. Its been playing all day at work and is so catchy.
 
I really didn't like him at first, at all. But he kinda grew on me. I can't help singing along (badly) and dancing like a fool whenever I hear any of his songs come on :wacky:

i think the real question is how did mika 'win' a record contract?

plus leaona lewis is probably worse than mika. if she keeps bleeding then why the fuck isnt she dead yet?

Despite the fact that Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not is still the fastest selling debut album in UK music history, you're right. =0

Not really, I could say the same about you preferring Arctic Monkeys over Mika.
I despise Arctic Monkey's music, but I don't go around telling people they're insane because they like them.
 
I hate his music and his image but respect his voice. May be a Freddie Mercury wannabe but Mika has range that most of us will never come near of touching. Cunt.>_<
 
I'm not a real fan, as in I don't go out of my way to listen to him, but I really don't mind listening to him when he comes on.

Oh and I just heard his song 'Rain'.

I remember hearing it on T.V. at mums and until now I always thought it was a girl. >.<

The music video is kinda weird too. XD
