So last month, I brang vodka to school and got caught drunk. I was sent home with a 5 day suspension, a court date, and a headache. Alls well, though, right? Well, I missed my court date on accident, and now I have a warrant for my arrest.

The first person I called said I was going to jail if I came, and it will take 500 doallers to bail me out.

Second I called and asked what I needed to do to make things right, and they said I had to go fill out paper work and stand before a judge, and he will decide what to do. I might go to jail. Who knows.

There is no one in my life right now, not even my parents, who will help me out. No one to even comfort me or visit me in jail. My parents have enough money to bail me, but they are on buisness trips.

I know I didn't make the right decision in the first place, but Im so scared.
 
Really you shouldnt have done that in the first place. You must have known you may have gotten caught. Im not having a go at you there. But least you knew you did wrong and you realy do sound sorry for it.

I doubt youd get sent to jail, IMO it doesnt sound all that serious. I thought youd get a slap on the wrists and told to behave.

Cant you contact a parent for help? And how are you accessing the Internet? Are you at home? There must be a relative who can help you. Maybe someone at school can help you also.
 
what could a lawyer do? defend the fact i cut court?
i dont know WHAT to do =\

yes im at home on my laptop. i have to go at 1:00 to see what will happen
uhg! here i was trying to clean my life up, and i get stuck in jail . . .
 
You said that was an accient, ex[lain that to a laywer.

Or go and find someone who can help you. Call your school or a relative. Yelling at people on a forum wont help you at all.

People do far worse and just get a slap on the wrist, but then I guess our justice system is rather shite. Not sure what it's like where you are.

Are you even OLD enough to go to jail? If this is a first offence, Im sure you will be ok as long as your not the smart arse type. Just hang your head in shame and appologise, lots. Show compasion and cross your fingers

honestly, that makes me feel better. yeah out govermnet is pretty leanient too. and it is my first offence.

Hey sapphire star, do you have any friends? or are they all jerks too? perhaps youre having a bad day, i dont think you could have been and more rude.
 
Guys, this isn't spam. Try to keep short and irrelevant posts to a minimum, please.

As for your situation, if you live in america, I doubt your punishment will be anything really all that bad. At the most, you'll probably be sent away from where you call home for a good couple of weeks. It's probably nothing to sweat at all.

Also, someone move this to the Pagoda, please.
 
Also, because of your offence, you probably could do time on the weekends and the rest of week would be business as usual.
 
You'll probably get parole or community service as a punishment. You might have to attend AA aswell, depending how the judge looks at ya. But I doubt you'll go to jail for that.

Even when my buddies get caught drunk, at my age by the way. They just spend the night in the drunk tank and leave in the morning, so they sober up.
 
I moved this to Temple of the Ancients (used to be Pagoda :P) as it seems more fitting there.

Anyway, I used to live at Orange County for quite awhile too, and will most likely be living there again in a year. I'm not very familiar with O.C's regulations when it comes to that matter, but all I can say is...you may be experiencing a lot of headaches for awhile.

Hmm, you're 16, correct? They might be willing to be lax with you since you're still a minor...but missing the court date may be a bit of a problem. =/ I doubt you'd go to jail for it though. That seems way too harsh.

Anyway, update us more on the matter when you can. Hope things go well for you.

LULZ. I gotta admit, that was a really dumb thing to do. But you're only 16, and since you didn't cause any damage or anything like that, I doubt they'll do much to you. Maybe make you stay overnight at juvie till your parents get back and bail you out, if you get a particularly mean judge.

well, i have to pay 45 dollars for missing the date, and 45 dollars for the MIP

thank god, no jail. just have to go to a "substance dependency course"

but when they transfered me from Audult trial to juvinille trial, they cuffed my hands and feet. i dont know wtf that was about, if it was something worth cuffing me for, they would have done it a month a go when i got caught. but they were painful.

then, i was incarcerated. SCARY! the girls in there were very bad. three black girls started beating up this latin one. it was like omg

they were nice to me . . . asking how i got there and stuff. i just held my head high, stared at the wall, and acted like i didnt want to go cry in the corner.
haha! well its over now!

yeah . . . w/e
